Quality Inn Daytona Beach Oceanfront

Did not get the oceanfront that I booked thru hotels.com. Also lady at front desk was not helpful at all, said for extra $59 a night she could put me in the room we booked. Was a funky smell to the room and ac was not that cool. Also pictures on the website do not match the rooms at all and the complementary breakfast was very little! Absolutely no beachview from room!

The pictures definitely do not reflect how old the building is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave another family a key to our room and helped get that corrected. Our key didn’t work after that when I asked about it, she apologized and took responsibility And fixed our key The chain lock did not work the floors had stains in the carpet and the door for the bathroom stuck and was horrible hard to open. The tv appears f have been left on the same Channel because it has the image burned on the screen. The elevator was a scary but did work. The door to our rooms had one inch gap at the top, so you could see light through it all the toe. It appears that every room had the same thing. After all of this, and even so, I would stay there again. The staff was friendly and the mini fridge was cold. And it was gated access to the beach. Simple parking as if they ran out of spaces, they had an overflow lot directly across the street. Also when we got there, we requested an early check in, because we got to town around 10:00 that morning. They were able to accommodate us as we were able to check in by 12:00. Again, Thank you to your staff. They were friendly Knowledgeable and helpful. I would choose to stay there’s just based on the staff, over a newer hotel with bad staff. Customer service is key. Thank you!!

Room was really clean. Staff is friendly. The property can use some updates but overall, really nice stay.

Mark, the individual at the front desk, was amazing. Unfortunately that that’s where the good part stopped. There was mold in my room, along with the strongest odor of some kind of cleaning product. The mold was on the ceiling where there was bubbling and peeling paint. No doubt from the amount of moisture which can be expected by the ocean. The door did not shut tight, but there was a chain to help secure it. I stayed for an hour and ended up having to leave due to the smell and the mold. I am very allergic and am still congested this morning. Left and found a different hotel.
