I have worked for the hotel industry and I expect higher standards. Friendly staff and helpful. Elevator is not working. Linens need to be upgraded. I requested towels and bed sheet sets. I saw the gentleman get them out of the dryer. I changed myself. I had to request toilet paper and washcloths during our stay.

For clean sheets we had to do it ourselves .for dry floors we had to use towels that were never replaced with clean ones ,from drying floor ,garbage only emptied occasionally .poor wi-fi. No working elevator .Poor breakfast choices .

The great problem was that the hotel is going through a major renovation and the reservation never told you about it, so the room maybe was just ok but everything else around it was a construction site, very dirty, elevator was not working...the breakfast options were very limited, with no fruit or fruit juice. For the price of a 3 star hotel, I was expecting a lot more.

1.The property is under full renovation outside no notification upon booking!! 2.Workers start construction at 7am right outside your Door with Blowers paint sprayer and pressure washing also stucco’ dust everywhere on vehicle in room and the paint and chemicals smell and you can’t mask it at all we were stuck there in the room 3 days because we booked on Expedia The owners the whole family own and run the hotel they did not care about the inconvenience with the construction and noise and paint and dust everywhere at all they came and knocked on the door for payment while holding our deposit and the rate went up everyday. Terrible experience and customer service. I travel a lot for work and this experience was my worst by far 7am-7pm construction and machine noisy was terrible!!!

We booked this property for the last night of our vacation because of proximity to airport and promise of heated pool for my son. Unfortunately, the pool was not warm enough (even though it had been 86F that day) to use. The pool itself looked nice. The room itself had newer furniture, flooring, and shower surround. But the place was just not one I'd book again, especially paying what we did (over $250 for a weekend night) because the bathroom was not very clean, there was blood spots on one pillowcase and a black (?) stain on our fitted sheet, towels were very worn, and many buttons on the remote for the TV didn't work. No washcloths provided. Thankfully, it was relatively quiet the night we were there, even though we were on the first floor and this is off a very busy road. AC worked well. We left before breakfast began so can't comment on that. Overall, will do the job for a place to stay, but I wouldn't book again.

The only good thing is the location. This is the dirtiest place I have ever seen. Stained towels and sheets. I complained at the front desk and no compensation or apologies were offered to me. The front desk agent just told me I should talk to a manager. I do not recommend this place at all

The sheets were definitely not cleaned. There was a hair on the pillow and the sheets smelled. There were NO towels, the floor turned my feet black, there was TRASH left on the floor, the blanket was too thin, and there were no extra blankets. The TV worked. The bed was comfortable enough. But any motel should at least have clean sheets and some clean towels.

Badly in need of paint on stairs,walkways and parking lot. Upon entry to lobby, a table in the eating area had a liquid puddle on it. Mentioned to desk staff and she said it was from a milk bottle. Made no effort to wipe it off. Phone did not work. Dresser had handle missing.

The pillows were terrible. The “breakfast” was terrible. The receptionist was not friendly. There was rust and paint everywhere. The refrigerator didn’t work. The sink didn’t drain. It’s unacceptable to charge the amount of money they do for this place.

The pictures that I saw did not describe the place very well the room was quiet but the ceiling above the shower and the bed had some bulges in it and some paint chipping off I think they were working on the rooms we saw a large dumpster outside. Would not stay there again

This room was supposed to be wheelchair accessible it was not. There was no bar by the toilet the bathroom was too small to move the wheelchair around and I couldn’t get my mom in the shower because of the ledge blocking it. Everything else was ok but those things were not acceptable

We booked this at the last minute. Very close to SRQ airport (5 min) and Ringling attractions. Room just very old, with old furnishings. The chain latch for the room door was broken. No USB outlets anywhere. Breakfast was all processed stuff and carbs. The only protein was activia yogurts and peeled/hardboiled eggs that where handled by staff and put in the fridge for people to take. No thanks...don't know how old they are or how they were handled. Didn't feel too safe there.

Lobby restroom… Feces all over the toilet and trash in the sink. Showed up 60 minutes late, our room still was not ready. We were told we could get a room with one bed instead of two beds… Which we had previously booked, and already paid for. She told me one bed would be the same price, no discount… I don’t think she looked. Very unhelpful, not friendly, and yelling at people on the phone on speaker… Trying to communicate with people about rooms/cleaning, etc. We go into the room and there are two massive Air filtration systems, tubing wrapped around the sink and draining into it. Cleaning staff next-door laughed when I asked about it. Front Desk said those are in every room… Two massive filters taller than my knee, right in front of the bathroom sink?? No other options at this point, everything down the street would’ve been $400. I had to stay, they gave no discount for all of this garbage… There’s got to be a major mold problem. Absolutely do not recommend.

I don't know why this property has such bad reviews. Our stay was wonderful! Our room was completely clean. Stocked with shampoo and soap. Never had any issues. Not the strongest water pressure but it was nice and hot. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was basic but always stocked. Close location to everything. Outside was very busy but never felt unsafe. Would definitely stay again! Hope this helps for people wondering if it's worth it, yes it is!

I stayed at this location for five nights and my room was only turned over once. That’s not the end of the world, however, I had to go to the front desk to ask for fresh washcloths, shampoo, and toilet paper everyday. Beyond that the towels were so old, stained, or just straight dirty. The first day I arrived I went down to the lobby to get fresh towels so I could shower after traveling and the “new” towels were worse than the originals. Hair on the towel and dust/dirt on the edges. The washcloths were equivalent to a rag I would use to wash my car or do dusting around the house. Every time I went down to get new linens or supplies the front desk workers were annoyed by my request or when I mentioned that my room wasn’t cleaned that day o would just get a blank stare. One evening the front desk attendant just said the towels aren’t ready and had nothing to give me….this was at 11:00 PM so I had to make do with the one clean hand towel I had left from the previous day. It was my understanding that one of the house cleaners called out or something, which I understand but the fact that I had to go to the lobby daily to retrieve dirty towels for my use was frustrating. The bathroom was dirty, fixtures were rusty, and don’t look too close at the flooring in the bedroom as there are clumps of paint barely being covered by the beds. I would rather sleep in my rental car next time. I wasn’t expecting a five star stay but still left extremely disappointed.

The property location was great for what we needed. They are apparently doing renovations, which was not disclosed to us when we called the hotel directly to verify a late check in before proceeding with online booking. We arrived around 1:00am ready for a quick shower before bed only to be told at check in that there was no hot water. Maybe by Saturday. It was late, we were tired and traveling with a pet. So trying to find another pet friendly hotel at that hour just wasn't something I felt like dealing with. The clerk was nice but difficult to understand (language barrier). He didn't seem to be to concerned with our lack of amenities. He did offer to charge us for one night pet fee $30 (more than site stated) as a gesture. The next morning we inquired about the hot water and the lady at the desk said no hot water and wasn't sure when it would be on. She told my BF the pool was warm, what kind of response is that? Like we can take soap/shampoo to the pool and bathe. The room and furniture was out dated. The floor however was new. Bed was sorta comfy but the pillows were not. The phone didn't even have a cord attached so calling the front desk or 911 in an emergency was not an option. I'm not one who complains or posts negative content, but in this case I felt for the price we paid and lack of hot water and no true concern it was warrented. We will definitely be back in that area, but will not stay at this hotel. Oh, and as i type this, my credit card is pending two pet fees

The breakfast was awful. The tv didn’t work. We called the desk and no one came the desk said they would send maintenance which never came. We ran out of tissues which were never replaced there were no towels at the pool. We went to a show at the van Wezel and it was convenient but the price of $142 a night was not worth it. Unfortunately our usual hotel was way too expensive.

The price and location are great! The mattress is comfortable, but the pillows are old and falling apart and very small and the sheets are thin and worn. The breakfast is ok the olny hot food is pancake machine, no meat. I like bacon! Pool area nice, but the need to change the trash outside more often and powerwash the outside by the doors of the rooms. Just that would make a major difference.

The next day, I showed up at 9:01 for breakfast and another employee already removed the "breakfast" stating it was only 6 am to 9 am. The previous employee had told me it was 6 am to 10 am. Still, he did not even offer something as it was only 9:01 am... 1 minute late... That employee's name is Sai.

The sheets were dirty and hairy, there were a couple of stained towels as well. The construction is very old, the roof looked like it was going to fall on my head. The breakfast was not bad, but there were cold boiled eggs, and there was no way to heat them.
