Motel 6-Raleigh, NC - North

Staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate. The property and rooms are older and run down and could use a good cleaning, but overall it’s decent. Our door looked like it had been kicked in before and had a gap between the door and the frame so I didn’t get the safest vibe but police were present at night and nothing seemed too scary. I would stay here again if on a tight budget. Thanks to the staff for their help. It really is the best redeeming quality of the hotel.

I did not feel comfortable staying in the area. Too many people walking around and hanging around in the parking lot. I never checked in.

Under renovation so alor of noise

I did not stay. Property was very dirty. Trash everywhere. Got to the room and it reeked of Marijuana. Went back to the front desk and waited for 15 minutes to give the key back. No one ever came back to the desk. Left the keys at the front desk. Had to drive home two and a half hours at 2 AM. Will not book Motel 6 again.

The elevator was so dirty it had a bathroom toilet sanitizer hanging in it to alleviate the smell!

Perhaps one of my least favorite stays. I was on the 3rd floor, the elevator was broken, and the hallway constantly smelled of cigarettes(gross). Roaches regularly came out of the gaps in the wall by the devices, and I could not sit at the table without being bothered by them or stopping to kill them. The outside grass area had cigarette butts, broken glass, trash, and was not cleaned up well at all. The smells seeped into the hotel room, and more than one night was very late due to the noise. After one particularly rowdy night, the police department and forensics showed up for the morning. I declined to stay for another night, requested a refund, and left. I did not receive room service even once in over a week of staying AND bringing it up to the front desk(they were polite, but no change in services). I would not stay there again with the cigarettes, weed, cat pee smells; I cannot recommend the air, room service, pest control, or grounds maintenence(let alone crimes/unsafety). I was glad for the partial refund and their polite staff.

The place was very ghetto. There were homeless people hanging around rummaging through "stolen" luggage and trash. We only needed a room to rest near Dreamville so, we did not need something grand. The picture does not do justice to the actual motel. Its definitely rundown.

I booked a one-night stay and extended another night through the app. Despite that, the hotel called the police on me, claiming I was staying without paying! The front desk later confirmed my reservation was valid, but they were rude and unapologetic. Hotels.com refunded me, and I checked out. The room and hallways were infested with roaches, both dead and alive. This was an awful experience and I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone.

Dead bugs all over the floor Some kind of sticky stuff poured out into the sink no. Towels in the room housekeeping. Acted like they didn't want to give me any but I didn't have any in my room. So of course, I need some towels. Put the TV kept messing up. I was told maintenance was coming maintenance. Never game and then the second night. Some guy was walking up-and-down the hallway. Beating on the doors, keeping us up all night

Shower clogging

Cockroach hell hotel, by Crazy Goat Patel (imaginary character) whom wanted the place to look like a New Delhi dump. Day 1: Arrival. Smelled like a pot burning factory. The next room faced the outside balcony. Yet, heavy "aromas". One may get high by just inhaling deeply. Strong urine smell from Heat/AC unit. Day 2: Hot water went cold. Cockroaches coming out of everywhere at night! They come out when the room warms up. Too tired to do anything. Solution: Turned off heat, and lights. Day 3: Hot water worked.Cockroach in the bathroom. Turning off the heat somehow worked. Left early/came back late. Sweeping dead cockroaches may not be part of Hotel 6´s cleaning policy? Neither is replacing about-to-run-out toilet paper. Heating/cooling unit AC only, 29F outside. Somehow the room managed to stay at about 65F. Tired and I didn´t feel like moving that late at night. Day 4: More cockroaches. Problems: 1) greed: ownership/franchise does not maintain the property. 2) Hotel 6 franchise lacks checks and balances. 3) City/State no oversight. Blatant abuse of minorities frequenting this place; Who will they complain to? This has to be the worst hotel property in 3 continents and the Caribbean. And I never frequent resorts. This place reflects extremely poorly on the ownership, the franchise, the city and the state. All of you need to clean up your act, guys. Shame on you!

I booked this hotel for the price but was even disappointed knowing what I would get into. I saw multiple bugs crawling on the floor and walls. The bed was lopsided and poorly supported, and they only provided a bar of soap for toiletries. Really disappointing stay.

Not worth the price they charged. Found cockroaches in the bathroom and got locked inside my room due to a faulty deadlock bolt. Luckily the staff was kind and responsive, other than that this accommodation missed the mark.

The room was clean and very spacious. Only thing was the people talking loud outside my door. Other than that it was a good stay.

This was by FAR the WORST place we've ever stayed! Checked in after a long day at the NC state fair & couldn't believe the condition of the room! There was holes on the blankets & sheets, cupboard door was missing from the cabinet. Stove & refrigerator were in the room - but neither one worked. Lost count of the roaches we seen. Went downstairs to ask for another room or a complete refund- only to be told "We're full". Someone was trying to get a room as all this was going on- so WE were pushed to the side, and he offered this girl a room at their supposedly "FULL" hotel for $99 for the night. Seriously? Without another word to us, he hands us a paper receipt for a PARTIAL refund - i told him that's not what we paid for the room & showed him my receipt. "Contact Hotels.com" is all he said. My husband & i left & drove back home (2&1/2 hours) but it beats having to stay in that roach infested hotel. AWFUL!

Aesthetics and cleanliness aside, this is a good hotel if the nature of your travel only has you needing a bed to sleep in and a shower to wash in. There was still some hair and lint in my room when I checked in but nothing outrageous or neglectfully dirty. Customer service was polite. Check in and out were easy. Lot of police activity in the parking lot for the very small amount of time I was there though I can't be sure if it was directly involved with the hotel. Close to the city center without being smack dab in the middle of it.

This place was horrible! First off the room was very roach infested as well as smelled not like a cigarette smell but must and mildew smell. There was holes in the doors the bath tub was rusty cracks all over the floors and walls torn up covers on the beds. Takes to front desk about the roaches they gave us another room and swore there wasnt any in the new room. LIES! Just as filled as the first room and once we spoke about it again they was very rude and told us to deal with it or leave and that it wasnt their fault they have roaches and that it was our fault! Not to mention the lady behind desk next to the man was threatening to beat the you know what out of a child. Very rude and unprofessional. There was constant banging on the walls like atleast every 5 mins someone was throwing something at the wall or punched it. Half the lights didnt work. Just horrible please just go somewhere else!

There is mold in the bathroom, body fluids on the bathroom door and floor immediately outside of that door. There was a dead roach in the main area. There was hairs in the sheets, & vanity area. The window was open and covered in plastic. Thankfully, we were on the 3rd floor! That floor reeked of marijuana. I took a video; I should’ve taken photos instead. There was no continental breakfast or coffee offered as advertised. Very disappointed. The young man who checked me in was professional and polite.
