Vir Riv seems to go through up times and down times, but we are definitely in a good period. Yes the rooms are cut rate and there aren't extras like coffee and such, but the beds are great and the air conditioning is just fine. Both pools are in great shape and mid week the whole place seems rather peaceful. Everyone was nice and the new Sports Book works great. You can't beat this price and getting off and back on the freeway is a breeze. Plus, if you don't like the hotel food you can just pop in your car and find fast food and good bar food and restaurants very close by. I've complained about Vir Riv in the past and I thought it was only fair to give them due props when things have improved. They have.

Only issue was hot tub wasn't hot but it was fine. We love staying here everytime we go to vegas or on our way back home..

Always a nice place for a get away. Rooms are comfortable and pools are great. The restaurant is fantastic. Everything is nice and affordable. No worries. A great place to catch some down time.

Pool is open later than other hotels

Great value! I didn't expect much for $50 (Sunday night) when competitors were charging up to $140. I was pleasantly surprised. First, there were no telltale signs of an aging hotel. NO ick factor in the bathroom or stains on the carpet. The beds were incredibly supportive and comfy. They felt new. The casino/resort is a separate building surrounded by 7 exterior-corridor mini hotels with 30 rooms on both sides of the building. I loved that I could park right outside my room. (If you have been to Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon, it is a lot like that without a lake.) There was also a good-sized parking lot beyond the room-side parking. But anyone on the 2nd or 3rd floor had an unobstructed view of the entire parking lot, making car break-ins very risky (and security vehicles circulate throughout the day). About the only caveat would be that there is no refrigerator or microwave and breakfast is not included. If you are traveling with 4 people who usually eat free breakfast at the hotel, this additional $40+ expense might be a consideration in the hotel you choose. If you are passing through, especially if you don't eat breakfast and don't need to refrigerate food, THIS is your new favorite bargain (not cheap, VALUE) hotel in the Las Vegas-St. George vicinity. I'll be back. Wish I'd discovered this years earlier.

Our room was very dated and not very clean. The beds were terrible. The bathroom was pretty grungy.

No breakfast, room was very dirty, oversized parking was not oversized and my truck still stuck out when backed against a cement barrier. Toilet was broken and handle was hanging there and toilet lid was in the tub. Could see the light outside around door and all around curtains. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra to stay anywhere else.

There was a cockroach in our room and i contacted the front desk and they were very to little help. I contacted hotels and they are trying to do everything possible they can to make it right with us. Also there was a blood stain on the bothroom floor i had to scrub up because i have kids and disnt want yhem anywhere near it.

Rooms were dirty sheets stained mattresses pad had pee stains. Rooms has coffee maker or phone charger.

Room was outdated and had a bad odor to it. Walls were thin and we could hear every footstep from the outside walkway. They had music for the employees bright and early in the morning not respecting the guests who paid to stay there. The toilet was wobbly and the bathroom stunk. We were told the elevator didn’t work but it was being used by the cleaning staff. We will not be staying there again!

Fabulous value for a good night's sleep. Comfortable beds. Clean and plentiful towels. Ice machine worked well. A little dust in carpet corners, but otherwise a clean room in good condition. I would definitely stay again.

Basic room. No frig. Small TV. Beds were comfortable. It’s definitely a budget, no frills room. Everything was clean.

TV cable system is the worst

The Wi-Fi was supposed to work without a password. However, it never connected, which was very inconvenient.

Room was ok. Heater made noises that kept us awake. Other guests were rudely talking outside the room at 1230/1am with no regard to other guests.

The only problem we had was the air conditioner was extremely loud and we did not sleep very well because of that. We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant for dinner! I even had fun gambling!! 😅

Room was good, nothin wrong with it but the TV was comical. Little screen, poor quality and no channel selection. It's my only gripe really. Bring some board games if you have little ones.

Room was pretty spacious and clean. Small tv. No coffee, mini fridge or microwave in room. Front desk sent me to a room that the key did not work. When i called about it they told me it was the next room over. This was a pain i did not need to deal with

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of our room was walkable to bingo and the casino. The room was comfortable.

This was probably our worst experience at the Virgin River. Normally friendly staff but this time was not the case. House keeping was questionable. Upon arrival we were given a coupon booklet to use during our stay. We left it on the table in our room when we went out for the day and when we returned it was gone. The front desk refused to issue us another one even thought it was their staff that removed it from our room. After a day out we came back to no remote for the tv. After searching the room, housekeeping had decided to play hide and seek with the remote and we found in between the sheets. Normally upon checking in the requests for preference are spoken about. Whether they can accomodate or not. This time they were just ignored. We stay here about 6 times a year. Like I said this was the worst experience to date. The hotel is still convenient and the price is right, and it it clean and comfortable so we are grateful for that.

We booked a pet friendly room on Expedia but when we got there they told us we hadn't and that they didn't have any available. We had to argue for it and show them the receipt that showed it otherwise we would have driven 10 hours to find that we couldn't have stayed there with our dogs. Property itself is just okay

Terrible time checking in, ordered a ground floor room and indicated I would be there by 7 pm. They gave the room away, then lied, then tried to assure me they would credit me. I explained that they are giving me my money for something they are not giving me and they think I should be grateful. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Seemed like no one that worked there wanted to be there or have anyone else there. The room was not very clean the carpet was coming off the wall by the bed closest to the bathroom. Went to the buffet in the morning they wouldn’t sell us breakfast due to the servers being overwhelmed. There was 6 or max 8 tables they sold 2 groups a head of us 1 was a 2 people the second was 4. Finally they sat us and we didn’t get refills for our drinks. The servers only get the drinks. Then later that night we went to the cafe took over 45 minutes for nachos and fries. I was like okay maybe an off day right for up the day went to the cafe 25 min wait to be seated sat for 20 min no one came to serve us and we left. Went across the street to eureka and they helped us right away. It was weird they asked us if we are with a tournament and we said yes had to fill out an additional form saying we wouldn’t do this or that which was common sense. But it gave the impression they really don’t want family’s staying with them ontop of everything else. My family has always stayed with them and have never been a problem. Talked to other family’s and they had very similar experiences. Also we had 4 in the room and got charged for additional person.

Large facality with big parking lot which was noisy with many motorcycles. Room was large and comfortable.

You can’t beat the price for a room. Nice and quiet and clean and everything is close and convenient.

Spacious, comfortable bed and good location. Close enough to Zion and Valley of Fire. The room is a little outdated but it has the mid century look. For the price, it’s an excellent package.

Room was clean and i really liked that they are independent from the Casino. Much quieter and no smoke.

The room was clean for the most part. A few dusty spots here and there. The beds were so comfortable! This is our go to stop when traveling back and forth to Utah. The buffet is amazing!

This property had a very economical room rate during the week. The room and property are clean, well kept and up to date. As with all casinos, smoking odor is present in the casino itself, which is to be expected. The cafe has a good variety of food at reasonable prices, but tables nearest the casino area are exposed to the smoking odor. Its a relatively minor point as overall we were satisfied with our visit.

You cannot beat the price. The room was clean, the casino had everything you need. Buffet was good and slots kept me playing for a long time without making me broke. This was my second time staying when going to Colorado and I will definitely stay again.

Room wasn't bad. We weren't happy with an hour wait at the Cafe. When we did get seated, there were many empty tables not being used. Steak was over cooked. Also, the brunch buffet wasn't very good. We never did get a mimosa they advertised and food was barely warm.
