The Omni Berkshire is in a good location, busy and walkable. A big plus was that we found street parking across from the hotel’s entrance. We stayed at this hotel because we were attending the US Open. The lobby had a tennis theme (outfitted with table tennis) so that was a nice touch. As for our room, I prefer a lower floor which we had, but no view whatsoever. Well, a view of the adjoining building about 25’ away. Didn’t know if that was because we booked through a third party. Anyway, the room was attractive and spotless. However, we were very disappointed to learn that the room didn’t have a mini fridge. The front desk informed us that one had to be requested ahead of time. A tad unusually when you’re paying that much for a room in NYC. And btw, no coffee maker either! Also,I was so excited to check out the 17th floor roof deck and the view. Turns out it was about five chairs squeezed into a very narrow, very short space. It think it was about 10-ish on a Saturday night and we could not access it. In closing, we probably would not stay there again unless we got an incredible rate.

The service was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean but there is no coffee, tea, minibar or food amenities in the room at all. For the expensive price, it's shocking there isn't more to make you feel more at home. They do offer a free drink but don't tell you there is nothing in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Omni Berkshire Place. The location was great. The room was a bit dated, the double beds were full sized at best, and the beds were ridiculously hard. Annoying that you have to ask for a fridge and that there is no coffee maker (instead they bring coffee to you when you call in the AM after you join their little club).

The stay was fine—it was nice to be in mid-town as we were close to so many coffee shops that we love, Central Park, etc. The suite we stayed in was enough room for the 4 of us. However, when we opened the pull out couch the sheets were dirty (and the carpet had some dirt/things on it as well). Eveyone was really nice and despite having to ask for clean sheets and making the couch bed, it actually was really comfortable.

The first two rooms they gave us were not ready, had trash in one and the other looked like someone is still living there. The second set of rooms they gave us, one of them still had urine stain all over the toilet. Just disgusting. The Wi-Fi did not work, could not connect to the tv for chromecast after spending close to 2 hours on the phone with tech support. Then the cherry on top, the elevator had an issue and had this constant ringing noise like alarm bells at your middle school, up til about 11:45 pm at night.

I have stayed here many times. This time the room and bathroom were not well cleaned. The ice bucket bag was never changed nor the water thrown out. The pillows are ridiculous—there’s nothing left in them. I am disappointed.

Don't stay in Rm 1123 if you want any sleep. The elevator noise runs all night,up and down. This Omni has gone downhill from years past. Fewer amentieis, no coffee maker in room, and no washclothes given without request. Terrible fixed shower head. Good things were the nice Concierge and Lenny the Doorman who dances. Amazing.

This is an excellent hotel with amazing staff, outstanding service, and a prime location. My only concern was the condition of some room furnishings: the backboard of the bed had a tear in the leather and the rugs looked somewhat worn. For a boutique hotel of this quality, a bit more attention to upkeep would make the stay truly flawless.

We always love staying at the Omni and every time we arrived at 1 we got a room without waiting . This time Yumi the check in receptionist told us they were very busy and no rooms were available but if we upgraded $50 she can get us in a room right away facing Madison Avenue plus 2 coffees . It was a scam because the hotel wasn’t so busy but it seemed that she was not happy that we booked through. Expedia and not directly with Omni so I guess she had to upsell . When I was checking out at 11:45 am a man was checking in and he got a room right away with no upsell and she told him that it was facing Madison Avenue also . She also charged us a destination charge $35 plus state tax$3.11 plus destination occupancy $2.06. I want to know if this was included in our price that we paid originally on Expedia. Please email me back and let me know if this extra charge was included in our original price. We always love staying at the Omni, it is such a great hotel, but our check-in experience was not the best this time All the staff there is wonderful though thank you Sandy Silver.

It was a rocky start with our adjoining rooms booked through Expedia ( confirm by me directly with the hotel via messenger) not ready There was a booking issue with the second room, so our family was not able to stay together on the first night. We were in separated rooms. However, the management did their best at making it up to us with a welcome treat, and also gave us a really good late checkout to line up their flight. Overall worked out good, thanks to Hector and staff

I like the Omni brand, and I find the cleaners quite friendly and eager to please. I was promised a refrigerator for my room, but it was never delivered. The front desk person was able to get me a room on the 20th floor, but the room was a bit musty.

This is a hidden gem in Manhattan. Comparable price to hotels in Times Square but much better location and a classy, beautiful boutique hotel. Staff were great, location is amazing, a block from MoMA, around the corner from St Patrick’s Cathedral and so close to Central Park. Highly recommend

Stayed three days. Excellent service and friendly staff. Very clean room. Yummy and prompt room service and on site restaurant. Bathroom, gym, and bedding very clean. Fridge available upon request. Room was ready for check-in at time requested; very cordial welcome, both at front desk and welcome amenities in room. Terrace King room was clean and in good order, but the terrace was bleak (weeds and no flowers in planter; uncomfortable, dirty outdoor seating with no cushions). Coffee service to the room was timely both mornings. Tiki-themed hotel bar was odd and tacky (out of sync with the usual upscale Omni vibe), and sports bar type menu options were unappealing, but service was good. Desk and entrance door service were outstanding as always.

The hotel is based off 52nd street so you have Park Lane, Maddison and 5th avenue on your doorstep along with Central Park being only a few blocks further. The reception and the concierge are great, helped us when needed and were great to talk to. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Could have done with a kettle so we could make a coffee or tea. We did however try room service (2 cups of tea and 2 small bottles of water). Ordered, and waited and waited. 40 minutes later I called room service to find out he forgot the order. Not good. 25 minutes later the products came with what can only be described as a ridiculous cost of 31$. I didn’t put a tip due to the poor service but that’s a huge cost for 2 pots of hot water, a small jug of milk, a few tea bags and 2 small bottles of water. That was my only issue with the hotel and while it’s probably not uncommon, make the price more reasonable. Anyway nice hotel barring that and would recommend it. Stock up on water outside the hotel though. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel.

The hotel was great and a perfect location but the Tikki Bar needs some work. It could be SOOO great but need to remove the leather corporate chairs, add more tropical drinks to the menu (like mojitos), and not have last call so early.

I love this hotel and have been staying there for years. However it feels to me it’s in need of a little TLC and updating. I love that I see the same staff over and over and I think that’s a great testament to the hotel. I would just love to see it updated in the rooms and the common spaces.

Check in was easy but no upgrade offered even though I’m a select guest loyalty member. The hotel wasn’t booked solid a day before so not sure why. I found dirty towels stuffed in the closet when I checked in. I alerted the front desk and someone retrieved them promptly. Otherwise the room was clean, and the bed comfortable. There was one feather pillow but the other 3 were foam and lumpy. I appreciated the magnifying make up mirror in the bathroom. The shades weren’t working properly so difficult to put them up or down. The doormen were kind and very attentive and helpful. I asked for a late check out (one hour) but was told no. It’s a small mid range hotel that serves many business travelers. The price point was better than upscale hotels. It’s a bit dated but nice enough. Fairly solid choice but a bit disappointed with some aspects of my stay.
