Parking is tight, with enough spots but not much room to park. It's an older building that is due for an update. Hopefully the update includes better sealing doors, because alot of the noise from the road and trains were coming through the poorly sealed door. It's what you'd expect from a budget motel, though the price was more than the nearby budget motels.

Train noise was horrible! Also someone yelled throughout the night. Very little sleep. Breakfast was minimal. Pool was out of order but price was not reduced. Not staying there again!

The fact that it was an agricultural and train town wasn’t disclosed BEFORE booking this hotel. It was noted after the non refundable purchase was made. At least they offered free ear plugs in the lobby. There was also zero parking available during my stay besides the 2 handicap spots that were left. I’m not knocking the hotel for being fully booked, but when they ask for car info and such I would expect there to be enough parking spots for at least each room to have 1 car with it. On that note, I will say the property was very nice about letting me park in the handicap spot and not towing me or getting a ticket. The room was clean and we didn’t have any other issues

The property was very close to a railroad track, we experienced train noise all during the night. The front desk did off earplugs. At the time of our stay the pool was out of order but that didn’t affect our stay.

This was a quick overnight while passing through on the way to Colorado. I booked it because it was a quick in and out. Upon arrival, THE SMELL! It must be near a stockyard! It is on a corner of the busiest road in Texas and a TRAIN runs behind it and blows the horn at the intersection. Our room was non-smoking but smelled of rank cigarette smoke. The gap under the exterior door was big enough for a snake to crawl under. On the upside, the breakfast was enjoyable and the staff was friendly!

The bedding was great and the breakfast was average. The only real downfall was that you could tell the carpet was old and on the dirtier side because you could feel it crunch under your feet. I couldn’t see dirt but you could tell it was well worn.

The bed was not very comfortable. The drawer in the dresser would not stay closed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Someone had disconnected the satellite service from the TV and they had to come to the room and hook it back up. The staff were very thoughtful in making sure everything was good. The breakfast was typical but not much fruit options.

The first morning, we were not checking out, so the maids should not have come in. They came in before 9 while my son was still asleep. The second morning, the "Do not Disturb" sign was on the door, and the maid came in anyway. This should not happen!

Nice clean room and great free breakfast. Only problem is the traffic and train noise being right on the highway and train tracks in downtown Dalhart. Looks like most of the other hotels have the same problem in Dalhart.

Very nice check in. Biggest issue is it is directly next to the train tracks. I stopped counting after the 5th train went by and blew its whistle in the middle of the night.

Always a convenient stay at the nursanickel. We stay as part of a longer trip to Colorado and this is right off the route. The check in is friendly, hotel is clean, coffee is hot. Will stay again.

Everything was great except for the location. Right beside major train tracks and busy intersection. Three trains during the night and blew whistle at every crossing. Honestly sounded like it was in our room. Being major intersection lots of trucks starting and stopping all night.

The staff was amazing! We arrived after 8:00pm to find a room full of people checking in at the same time. The young lady processed each guest efficiently with a smile for each one of us. The full breakfast meal was nice and the young lady this morning did a great job of keeping plenty of food available and was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Spacious, very clean room with everything we needed. Walk-in shower with shower chair perfect for my husband, plenty of outlets for charging our phones, hearing aids and watch. One of the best rooms we’ve experienced. Staff very friendly and even proactive to help. Thanks to all.

The hotel is located right next to the railroad tracks, and the loud train horns woke us up around four or five times during the night. The bathroom door in our room was swollen and would not close properly. The beds were also very poor quality. They kept moving, and even a small movement would make the whole bed shake. For cleanliness, I would give the hotel 3 out of 5. I was also disappointed with the behavior of the reception staff. There were three women working at the front desk, and during breakfast they were standing across from the breakfast area, talking and laughing about the guests. I found this very unprofessional and disrespectful, especially because they were doing it openly in front of the guests.
