The outside is pretty with succulents & flowers. The parking is small and not flat it has inclines my trailer was leaning. The front desk was very nice & friendly. The beds how ever arent comfortable my back hurt when i woke up.

I didn't like that when I got there I had to pay a parking fee and a $100 deposit. (there is a $10 parking fee if you book anywhere but the blu pacific hotel website). I would have liked all of that to be included in the Expedia price. I also had to fill out a form, which delayed my check-in process. But the hotel is clean and close to the aquarium and beach. There are several restaurants within walking distance that are reasonably priced. I would stay there again.

The room was very average... It was clean and adequate, but nothing special. A few minor complaints. The toilet needed minor repair. A few times, we had to wiggle the handle a bit to get it to flush. Additionally, there was a slight, but noticeable, mold or mildew smell in the bathroom. One thing I do NOT like is that they charge $10 per night for parking. It may affect whether I stay here again in the future.

In rm 123, the only complaint I have is that the restroom had a constant smell of mold and mildew. None of it is visible, but I believe it may be behind the shower walls. I had that same problem in my home years ago and had to gut out my shower area to redo it all for the mold and mildew to be gone and get rid of the smell. I had to keep that restroom door shut to keep the smell out of the rest of the room.

Our room had the dirtiest floor. Our socks were black within minutes of removing our shoes. I told the staff and we were the 8th person who complained that day. Other than that the room was clean.

The pros: The frontdesk staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Outside the property it was very well maintained and cared for. The cons: The room was not clean. The sheets had stains, the bathroom had hair on the floor, the cabinets did not look wiped down. The walls were paper thin. Note: due to location, you will hear airplanes flying overhead.

The stay was good for the price, the rooms are a bit worn down including sheets and furniture. Cleanliness of the floor was okay, bathrooms were really nice and clean and seem like newer bathtubs which was a plus. Outside landscaping and look of the hotel was very nice well-kept.

Heater didn’t work. Got another room and the bed sheets were not clean and there was sweat and oil stains on them(fresh). There are people living at this hotel full time. Front desk person was awful. Do Not Stay Here!!!!!!

We booked only to sleep and shower but it was a very nice and clean place and looks like it's been modernized. We had a room near the vending machine and the walls are kind of thin so we heard our neighbor watching TV or when people would park and leave. Other than that, it was quiet and a quaint place. We would totally return. My kids loved the place.

I was not expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very well kept more than adequate and it had coffee a microwave a fridge a nice bathroom a desk to work on a nice TV Queen size bed and hardwood floors. My only negative comment would be the Internet was extremely slow

The noise from the planes were very scary and horrible or noise insolation in the room. The air conditioning system was extremely loud, as well. Considering all the above it was simply impossible to sleep there. Extremely uncomfortable mattress and pillows. Refrigerator worked as freezer only, and froze all food, I had to throw away most of it, particularly vegetables and fruits. They even didn’t offer a hair conditioner and had very poor quality shampoo and liquid body soap. Just a tiny piece of hand soap. Would avoid this and surrounding places at any cost. Really a horror stay, I think it is totally inappropriate place for hotel.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was, small but had tv, microwave, coffee, and fridge. The remote for the tv didn't work and there were VERY low flying planes flying over the hotel.

The room was tidy and clean. However the lighting is Terrible in the room. The tv is old so you can’t watch anything besides what’s on the feee cable. The bathroom is newly renovated but the shower has no water pressure whatsoever don’t make the mistake to wash ur hair if you have long hair

Lady at the front desk was very rude. We checked in after our other two friends and we all agreed she had a major attitude problem. There were no restrooms to use since our room was not ready. After a long drive a hotel should have a public restroom I’ve never seen that before. Very expensive too.

It was a very nice and comfortable stay. The young woman and Oscar who worked the front desk were very kind to me. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The water pressure was too low, but manageable. I just took shower baths. I understand that the hotels on the Monterey peninsula area do this drippy water flow because it’s a drought area. The hotel is situated near the 7 (airport bus), 94 Carmel, Jazz A and B buses, if I’m not mistaken. As of this writing, the bus is only $2 and you can tap your debit or credit card to pay if it has a contactless tap function on them. There’s coffee, tea and hot chocolate served in the lobby from 7am - 10pm daily. Be sure to bring earplugs because you’ll be near the airport. You’ll sleep fine with earplugs. The hotel deposit is a very steep $100. This deposit is refundable about 3-7 days after your stay.

The staff was able to change our 3 rooms to put us side by side in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. Super clean rooms!

The lady at the reception was very hospitable. She provided all the information, called to check in if all was well. Helped us with disposable spoon and forks when the food delivery came without these. Provided us with toothpaste because we forgot to pack. She was so helpful with everything

Seemed like a good deal on Expedia until we arrived. Check in girl made clear we would be charged for parking solely because we got a good deal on Expedia. Really lame snarky girl. Their website lists “complimentary parking” as one of the best benefits of staying there, lol. And Expedia prominently states price “includes all fees and taxes.” It is businesses like this that ruin life for everyone.

Check in was fine. However, Blu hotel demanded $100 security deposit which was not agreed when reservation was made or aware of. Nor such deposits required posted on Expedia for this hotel. They, the Hotel also refused to refund at checkout or issued receipt of the deposit. Please assist in the matter and assist to insure refund of the deposit. Thank you.

When I first arrived it seem great! Front desk personal lacked knowledge and was confused due to event weekend! Requesting a late checkout had a few that was insane! The towels provided seems with a dark tint! Not white at all. In need of a better laundry srvice or wash! The consistency of knocking on the door after paying for a late check our showed lack of communication between employed and knowledge on how to run a hotel! What’s the pint of paying for late chel out if I still get woken up and can’t enjoy my sleep! Pathetic over all

No Surprises. We just stayed overnight to go whale watching at fisherman's wharf. We didn't know about the hotels whale watching packages and had our own arrangements. It's a short drive. Hotel staff was friendly and informative at check in. We walked to the beach at night. It's about 20 min. It's dark and we didn't go out on the beach, but found a nice bench on one of the paths not too far from the street. You can just notice the occasional plane fly overhead. It didn't bother us and my companion thought they were just cars going by on the street.

Room was clean and nothing was broken, so it isn't a travesty and you could do much worse. But for the price we laid for a queen bed suite, we felt the room was cramped, noisy and very basic. Also, terrible and incredibly un-scenic location, and no breakfast or other notable amenities. Probably wouldn't visit again unless in a pinch.
