The staff at this property was next level friendly and super helpful. We loved our stay mostly due to the staff and convenience. The property could definitely use some updates but the food was amazing, there are great amenities and the location is so convenient to everything. The shuttle to their beachfront pool is only 10 min and free. It’s walkable to anything you need and there’s a cute outdoor open air cinema at the marina!

Älteres Stadthotel an guter Lage in Lagos. Zum Bahnhof sind es nur 10 Gehminuten - Busstation 5 Gehminuten und zur beliebten Altstadt auch 10 Gehminuten. Zimmer sind OK und renoviert. Frühstücksbuffet ist TOP und lässt absolut keine Wünsche offen. Der Health Club ist jedoch alt und klein. Von zwei Saunas war eine defekt - Fitnesscenter war OK aber auch der Innenpool ist mit vielen Defekten nicht mehr Kundengerecht. Jacuzzi stellt nach 1 Minute jeweils ab.

Great staff, location, free parking, interior (lots of chilling places), breakfast

Basic hotel in need of freshen up. Room was ok and basic. Had a terrace overlooking a back alley where I believe the kitchen was. Delivery and garbage pick up occurred. The pool area decking was uneven with boards loose. Missing tiles in the pool, so the resort just looked dated. Food for breakfast was okay. we did not eat at the 3 restaurants.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. Very walkable to tons of restaurants, shopping, and the marina. The hotel could use updating. There are tons of open to the public unused odd spaces. The pool decking is in disrepair and there are not enough umbrellas for all of the seating. We did not find the staff to be very accommodating or even pretend to not hate their jobs - especially the women at the front desk. The advertised “beach club” does not allow hotel guests to even sit in a chair poolside without paying for the chair even while ordering drinks and food which we found odd. I understand being charged for beach chairs, but there were tons of empty pool chairs (not sun beds which I would understand) & we were not permitted to sit. Nor were we permitted to lay poolside on our towels - we were made to sit on a rock wall - even while purchasing drinks and food from their poolside restaurant all day. I don’t quite understand why they are referring to this location as “their beach club” when hotel guests aren’t treated any differently. Overall, the location of the resort is the only draw.

Have stayed a few times before lovely hotel only problem for me was allowing people to save sunbeds around the pool. That policy needs to change.

Very clean everywhere. Good indoor swimming pool and sauna. Very good breakfast, Prosecco, a nice touch. We always have a job finding our rooms, it was the same last year too! Outside areas are getting tired. But, overall, a very good Hotel, well located too.

Great tucked away resort yet close to all of the action. Enjoyed the pool during our afternoon downtime with a bonus surprise of a private shuttle bus to & fro private beach!

While the property was well located and aesthetically pleasing outside, the rooms are old and not the cleanest. Our bathroom was extremely outdated and mold was growing in the shower. They also serviced our room at 5PM every day. And while the breakfast buffet was convenient, I was stopped by staff for finishing a mini croissant on my way out. I was also denied a second towel for the pool and we were never able to get a chair by the pool. Overall, not worth the hype.

Das Hotel ist sehr verwinkelt und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind aber trotzdem ganz nett und habe eine gute Größe. Wichtig wäre es, dass die Außenwände mal wieder gestrichen werden. Die Zimmer sind groß, habe einen kostenlosen Safe und einen Kühlschrank. Das WLAN funktioniert gut Die Betten sind bequem und die Zimmer sind sauber. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Gleich nebenan gibt es einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Super zentrale Lage zur Altstadt.

Very clean everywhere, the staff were lovely. We used the indoor pool which was warm and a lovely space to relax. We loved the breakfast, something for everyone. Very comfortable beds, lovely bed linen.

Staff was great. Pool and hallway were run down dirty carpet. Our air conditioner was dirty and needed filter cleaned so it didn’t work efficiently At night bugs would come out of the bathroom shower drain. I even bleached it a few time and still had bugs. I felt very uncomfortable knowing bugs are infesting in our shower.

I’m not gonna lie, I was most excited for this hotel. The pictures looked amazing. I was a little disappointed upon arrival. When we checked in they gave us a little run down of going to beach and hotel amenities felt like a little “nickel and dimey”. We got to our room and it was ok, pretty run down and dated but that didn’t bother us because as long as we have A/C we were happy. We opened the door to our room and found a huge cockroach waiting for us. Luckily my husband worked fast and killed it immediately. We chopped it up to a one off and put a towel under our door thereafter. The next morning ANOTHER roach attempted to enter our room! Ugh I couldn’t sleep the rest of the trip. The overall grounds of the hotel were pretty unkempt and dirty so we kind of understood where that came from. But needless to say we would not stay here again. I will say it’s nice they have a free shuttle to the beach so that was a plus.

Good:Room upgrade was nice. Bad: in room coffee,tea was paid. There were ants in the room. Asked for empty wine glasses and wine opener and was told a room service charge of ,€5

The hotel is tired and needs work, a complete Reno. Our shower had black mould in all the corners, lots of it. Behind the bathroom sink huge black mould. The toilet seat was cut somehow and missing parts. The hotel pool was missing flooring tiles and the patio deck was horrible conditions. The bartender in the inside lounge tried to tell me that they only had warm red wine. The dinning restaurant there I must say had great food, but that is it, they late to serve between meals and the prices are over rated compared to the area and even with Madrid 5 star hotels we went to. All in all never again for me. The pictures they use are doctored up otherwise I would have never stayed there. The receptionist are great and friendly but that's all. I do not like to give such reviews but I felt I must.

Room was large the bathroom extremely small . Not clean ants all over the garbage cans and bathroom. Caulking mould very noticeable. No trays for holding any items .Shower old mould everywhere and terrible entry in to the shower with poor water pressure.overpriced rooms dirty all over . The bathroom had an odour we could not get rid of . We ran the exhaust fan 24/7 with little help.

No view basement room. Building is a maze of stairs and corridors. $18 extra per hour for late check out. Power in room goes out when you leave the room so no charging of all your devices when you are out.

The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed talking with the bartender in the evening.

Another enjoyable stay at this hotel. The hotel is a walkable distance from the town centre with its shops, bars and restaurants. Room was a good size with a nice comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and pleasant balcony for relaxing. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient free car parking.

Tivoli Lagos was overall nice. It's an older property so lot of things were dated. We got upgraded to a suite which was really nice with a big wrapped around terrace with a stunning view however since this hotel is pretty old there weren't that many plug outlets in our suite. This might not be an issue for a lot of people but it was for us as my husband is a professional photographer and videographer and has lot of equipments that needed to be charged including both of our laptops. The bathroom sink was growing mold in the back which was gross and we requested to clean that up but was never done. Breakfast was mediocre and some staff at the breakfast were not friendly at all. But other than these hotel is location is very convenient. Only a few minute walk to the square and marina. It was safe and quiet. They had designated parking lot which was really convenient if you are renting a car. All in all it was good.

Didn’t like the fact that the lady who initially checked us in at the reception desk gave us what appeared to be the worst accommodation in the resort! The room, situated on the 8th floor, needed both lifts and stairs to access. The room chosen by us based on the picture in your advert was totally different from the real thing! The TV in the room was unconnected with loose wires sticking out everywhere and we had to phone reception service back to complain. The air-conditioned unit was dirty! Getting into both the poky bathroom/toilet would have been impossible! As I suffer from severe arthritis and recently had a knee replacement, we had to turn this incredibly unhealthy room down and so upgraded to a much better room. Apart from this sad start to my birthday holiday, everything else went well. All other staff members were polite and helpful. On my birthday Tivoli sent birthday a card and kindly offered us birthdays drinks!

We loved the property, easy walk to old town where all the action is. Nice pool area, the property is large and easy to get lost. Liked the happy hour held daily in the bar, we met many guests staying in the hotel and had lots of fun. The breakfast was awesome. We would stay here again, the room was large and clean.

Sehr abgewohntes Hotel! Schlaf war leider Mangelware, da unser Zimmer direkt an den wohl vom Zustand her gleich alten Lift wie das Hotel angrenzend war. Dementsprechend war es unerträglich laut in der Nacht. Es wäre vermutlich besser gewesen, im Lift zu schlafen als nebenan. Lage des Hotels ist toll! Parkmöglichkeiten super vorhanden.

Very good first impression, nice helpful staff, everything looked like a ☆☆☆☆ resort until we entered our room which was very small with claustrophobic bathroom and it was begging for renovation. Overall nice resort in great location with ☆☆ rooms.

Although ours was a very short stay.. I can say this for sure that this is in such a great location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Yes the beach is not walkable but they have shuttles. The marina is just a walk over the bridge. So many shopping and dining options. Boat tours from marina easy to access as well. Breakfast was also very good. Room spacious and clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Bar was good and there was a happy hour. In the evening they had someone playing the guitar which was nice as well. I would stay here again if going to Lagos.

My partner and I had 5 nights here recently and absolutely loved it. We even got a random free room upgrade (and got told it was the best room in the hotel, what a win!). Buffet breakfast was nice and had plenty of options. We didn't go to any of the three restaurants as we went into the Old Town for dinner, but I'm sure they're nice too. Only very minor thing was the light outside out room only worked sporadically, so it was very dark coming back in the evenings.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Tivoli Lagos Hotel for their extraordinary support during my stay. I broken my leg at first day and from the moment they learned about my foot injury, their compassionate and immediate response truly touched my heart. They quickly moved me to an accessible room, making it much easier for me to navigate, and assisted me in getting my medications, which was a huge relief since I was traveling alone.🙏❤️ The kindness and care I received from everyone at the hotel brought tears to my eyes. The staff were always attentive and ready to help with a smile, from the bartender to the receptionist, and the breakfast and restaurant staff, including the staff member who helped me carry my luggage and wheelchair, ensuring I was comfortable and safe.❤️ Despite not being able to explore the Algarve as I had hoped, the exceptional care and compassion from the hotel staff made my travel experience truly special. Their warmth and kindness turned a challenging situation into a memorable and heartwarming experience. I highly recommend Tivoli Lagos Hotel for their outstanding service and genuine compassion. They transformed a difficult time into a beautiful memory with their incredible hospitality. I hope that next time I can visit the city and stay with you with a healthy foot. This hotel has one major advantage, its location. Beyond that, the experience fell short on multiple fronts. The atmosphere lacked warmth, & the staff didn’t make us feel welcome or cared for. There’s a clear need for better training, especially when it comes to engaging respectfully with guests from diverse backgrounds. The complimentary breakfast was poorly done, with limited options. The hotel had almost nothing for vegan guests. We also waited over an hour for a simple lunch (salad & pasta) at the bar, which was frustrating. Service throughout our stay felt inattentive, & the overall condition of the hotel could use some improvement. Until the staff is better trained & the hospitality standards are raised, I wouldn’t consider returning.

The lobby and entrance needs a remodel - as does most of the hotel interiors, spa, hallways. Upon checkin I was already disatissified with the service, The bellman came out and agressively told me to move my car. meanwhile another car pulled in the same spot and walked in. Then the checkin staff was terrible. She was flippen, not trained and argued with me for 2 keys. I mentioned one is needed for the lights and she did not know. She then put me in a room that had to be the worst room in the hotel and the air conditioning was broken knowingly. I went into the room facing a building condemned with graffiti with no air conditioning. While getting dressed some man who did not speak english entered the room while i was in the room to try and fix the air. No one told me and I had only been in the room less than 30 min. It was only when I called and with resistance they changed my room. The new room was nice and from that point I kept mostly to myself and did not interact with the front desk or bell service-Both terrible as the first entry pint to the hotel. The restaurant stff and dining was nice and made for a bit more enjoyment.

Standard hotel. Pool, longe areas and reception were nice. We got a standard room with a horrible location. We asked to move and were shown probably the only room in a worse location so stayed put as we didn’t want to waste anymore time the next day looking for another room. Reception didn’t ask if we wanted our card added for room charges even though we paid for room at checkin. Ordered drinks at pool only to find out we couldn’t charge to room without making another trip to reception. Also said they’d text when our room was ready but no text. We went back to reception after checkin time and it was ready!! Not the kind of service expected at Tivoli. No apology even though we let reception know.

Really loved this hotel. Not nearly enough time here. Good check in and checkout experience - friendly and professional staff. Great dinner and breakfast. Fantastic manager last night at the dinner buffet. We had a great conversation about Sevilla, Marrakech and about how amazing Portuguese food is. Sorry not to be able to say goodbye as we left early but we'll be back. Amazing service at dinner and breakfast in the buffet area from the young, new Brazilian waiter. So friendly, so efficient and so quick! Delighted with this hotel resort and we loved the room too. Can't wait to return.

We booked a double room 6months ago. We got a twin, desk said it was an upgrade. We said we want a double not an upgrade. They said it would be more per night. They said bed size went on availability?? Never happened before. Did it to my friends as well. We seen another couple checking in the next day and they did it to them. Bait and switch. So it cost us more for the stay. For something we originally booked. I would not recommend this hotel.

This was a great option for our one night stay in Lagos. It is walkable from the train station and to the Marina and night life in Lagos. We didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the amenities, but had everything that you would need. The layout of the hotel takes a bit of getting used to but staff is friendly and will show you around. Breakfast buffet was great. Would recommend and stay there again if in Lagos.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So close to the train station and bus station if you decide to go back to Lisboa by bus (which is so much better than the train). Literally one minute walk to the bus station. It’s a resort NOT a hotel. The stuff is GREAT! Beatrice helped us a lot. The room is nice, breakfast is good!!!! It is just so good!

Close to city center. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Marina is close by with lots of stands for boat trips Hotel is nice. The buffet breakfast was included and delicious plenty of options. I do recommend.

It was an easy walk from the train station. A nice on-site pool with free shuttles busses to the beach. 10 min walk to city center.

Amazing breakfast

Easy access to the marina and town. Large beautiful and clean room. Wonderful staff. The Portuguese restaurant was delicious and beautiful. The breakfast buffet was very good.

The hotel is very dated, our room including the bathroom was badly in need of refurbishment. Drawers wouldn’t open because the wood was warped. There are too many problems to list. Food in the restaurant was never hot.

Personnel sympa, chambre propre,l’hôtel est typique et avec beaucoup d’espace. Le mobilier des chambres n’est pas moderne et vieillissant (plus 3 que 4 étoiles sur ce point). La piscine couverte est agréable mais, le SPA ne fonctionne pas correctement. Le buffet du matin et du soir (demi pension) n’est pas varié et peu fourni, sur 1 semaine vous mangerez toujours la même chose. Les tarifs des boissons est excessif comparé au prix que vous payerez dans un restaurant en ville . Il n’est également pas très agréable de manger sous la « surveillance » des serveurs qui font les 100 pas. En conclusion, hôtel sympa mais des investissements serait à prévoir.

The was most expensive place I stayed in the 10 days I visited Portugal and unfortunately, the hotel could use some updating. It does not look quite like the pictures, especially in the common areas like the pool and beach club. It’s a great place to stay, but should be at a 3star price point, in my opinion. I did like the size of my room and the amenities inside. I had half board but the food was always luke warm for the buffet meals but the staff there was very friendly.

Amazing value and a beautiful luxurious hotel! The free breakfast was the best I’ve seen in Europe, the resort was beautiful and the room was large and comfortable. It is about a 5 minute walk from downtown Lagos. Can’t recommend it enough.
