Clean and comfortable room in a great location right on the Liffey River. Staff were very nice and helpful. I did not try the in-house restaurant but loved hearing the live music playing there ever night when I came back. I enjoyed the morning breakfast and the wide range of breads, cold foods, and warm foods it offered. I did go to Celtic nights that was highly advertised in the hotel and was dissapointed by that, so just be advised to look into its reviews separate from the hotel before deciding.

Great location to all downtown interests. No elevator to our rooms area. Plumbing is 1940s style but you can get the hang of it.

Hotel is located in a great spot being right on the River Liffey. Everything from dining to tourist attractions are in walking distance as hotel is in heart of Dublin. One thing to note is there is no parking for hotel. You'll have to find a parking garage somewhere near by. The best ones are Park Rite garages as they're cheaper and have plenty of room.

I will be contacting Expedia regarding the parking issue. It’s a 10 minute walk. If I had been alone it would have been impossible. We parked where told and ended up paying 43 euros to get our car out after 2 nights. There is nothing on their site about this. They did not tell us to have our parking validated and you had to insert your ticket to drive your car out. They refused to accept this charge as a refund because we no longer had the ticket. The desk staff was rude at check in because we wouldn’t leave our luggage at the front door unattended. Yes they had a luggage cart but didn’t offer it or tell us where it was. Really poor guest service.

Clean and in the perfect spot in the city of Dublin. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing! Parking is a block away so not far. The show Celtic Nights is amazing. Great place to stay in Dublin.

Great location except if you are driving. There is no parking on street and no lot. The lots they work with are walkable but if u need to get your car before 8:00 AM they maybe closed. Thank goodness for the amazing hotel employee who let me park in the employee lot below. He was accommodating and understood my early flight situation.

Awesome location! Hotel definitely is showing its age a bit and no elevator to my 3rd floor room was a surprise, but having a great bar/pub right downstairs was amazingly convenient. And the full breakfast buffet in the morning was fantastic!

The property is somewhat run down. The bar, restaurant, and lobby are have historical features which are nostalgic. The hotel rooms are old. Toilet didn't always want to flush, there was mold around the sink, shower and toilets. The shower curtain was dirty. No pillowcase on one of the pillows. Small tv. Alley next door was loud with people yelling and fighting at all hours. Bed was clean. No air conditioning. Smelled musty. Staff could have cared less if we were there. No smiles from front desk, waiter at bar or our waitress. The bar had a great entertainer one evening. Location is convenient.

Where do I start... antiquated facilities. Bathroom smelled of urine, and the sink was so small and the shower was ancient as well.carpet is dirty in the room, I could go on and on .. the worst part was noise from the alley that we faced as we had to have the window open with no air!

Room itself clean but tired, would have been nice a few years ago. Bathroom showing its age, mouldy sealant around sink and cold water tap in bath doesnt work..shower was good and powerful. Dont let this put you off as you dont spend long in̈ the room, its a three star, with a little investment could be four.

A great central location with big rooms. Only downsides were that the room wasn’t cleaned one day so no fresh towels and being a room with a connecting door (locked) we were disturbed late one night by those guests

Lobby looks great. Room was bare, doesn’t match photos. Very very dated. Paint all over outlets and handles. We had poop splatters on our toilet. Lounge food was not good and service was awful. Stay away! Only thing good was somewhat comfy bed.

Love the location, everything is right at the doorstep. The staff are great, really helpful and friendly. The room was a bit worn. The carpet was very stained and old, but despite this the room was clean. The breakfast was very good. They have every option you could want for breakfast. Would stay here again.

The location is perfect for getting around and seeing Dublin. The breakfast we opted into was amazing. The only complaint is the beds. They were very hard and had only one very flat pillow. Sleeping wasn’t great. As a note about the area, again location is amazing but it is a city. So leaving the window open you heard everything. Closing it was a bit toasty.

First night our room was directly above the stage where a loud band played until midnight. Impossible to sleep although we had been travelling all day and were really tired. Staff were sympathetic and found us a quiet room on 4th floor the following day. Be warned - there is live music in the large bar.

Bed was comfortable and room large. We were very pleased. The location was perfect for seeing the touristy side of Dublin, very walkable. The hotel itself has some dated features (e.g. discolored marble in the bathroom) but the soaking tub was perfect.

It was very convenient for everything you'd be doing in Dublin. Unfortunately the bathrooms are very out dated. Sometimes we wouldnt have hot water in the shower. There were spots of mold. Also this place does not have AC and the noise outside makes it difficult to sleep with the window open.

This place was sooo soo loud. Everything the people upstairs did was 3 times as loud from our room. All night long..The room was terribly hot even after figuring out how to turn the heat off and with the window open. Will not ever stay here again.

The staff are really nice and the hotel is well situated in the heart of Dublin. However, I booked the room for a colleague on a business trip and he was unable to check in as he had to go and do business in Galway for two nights. When he got back to the hotel on the third night the hotel had cancelled the booking without consulting or contacting me and resold the room even though they charged me for the five nights. I explained the mix up and the manager was helpful and courteous and told me that had already sold the third night and had no room available. I booked my colleague into another hotel. The manager honoured the last two nights of the booking and informed me that I would get a refund through Hotels for the unused third night. After no refund I contacted Hotels who were very helpful but informed me that the hotel is not refunding the third night that was unavailable to me even though I paid for it. So in effect the hotel made money twice on the room. It doesn’t bode well for the hotel to be this greedy. I won’t be using this hotel in the future and I advise you not to either.

Neighbourhood felt a bit seedy after dark. The bartender in the restaurant, Charlotte, was very rude to a number of customers while we were in - maybe just having a bad day. All other staff was friendly and helpful, especially at the front desk.

Staff were absolutely tremendous. Lisa, Precious and others on front desk were superb. Dining room staff, Carmel and Violet when I wasn’t feeling well could not do enough. When my daughter thought she had left her purse behind, the staff and manager went above and beyond to help her locate it. Absolutely wonderful location in Dublin, within walking distance of most sites. Family room perfect.

Perfect location for shopping, pubs, restaurants and transportation, the food in the attached restaurant is very good. Great live entertainment nightly. Staff very helpful and friendly If your seeking a country side of Ireland grab a train, bus or cab very easy to do.The River Liffey runs directly out front the hotel with ample benches a nice spot to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or just to get away from the hustle bustle.

Location of the Arlington can’t be beat as we were in the heart of city and close to everything we wanted. The hotel pub and restaurant were convenient options but there are several choices a short distance away. The beds were comfortable but we didn’t have hot water for morning showers so be prepared and/or take a shower in the late afternoon. Lastly, depending on the rooms you’re assigned you may be walking up a couple flights of steps as the elevator doesn’t take you to one of the wings of the hotel.

Had a great stay at Arlington hotel. Arrived at airport and took the dublin express bus into the city. Bus stop was only a few minutes walk to hotel and same on way back. Was situated by river, central for all shops, bars, restaurants and walkable to alot of the attractions, hotel was warm and cosy for the size, had a lovely big room with shower over bath. Only down side was room looked on to the accommodation across the street but was fine as was lovely and quiet for sleeping rather than being on the front with the busy main street. Breakfast was excellent with a superb choice would definately recommended. We ate at hotel a few times and couldn't fault the food and service. We went to the celtic show there and had a lovely 3 course meal with excellent choices available and fantastic entertainment. Everyone from reception to cleaning staff were polite and friendly. Would definately recommend a stay here and will be returning here on our next visit

The Arlington is a great spot not only to stay with short walks to Trinity College and Temple Bar district, but has the best live Celtic Irish show every night, and great food and bar area. Show tickets are extra, and you can get online at at the hotel.

This is an affordable hotel in a very convenient location near the center of town - O'Connell Street, Temple Bar and bus/rail lines. The hot breakfast is generous with a lot of options. The bar is cavernous and old-world comfortable. Staff are friendly and efficient.

What a wonderful gem! We also booked the dinner and dance show that takes place downstairs and it was excellent. Loved the breakfast -- especially the scones! Definitely worth including it.
