Ashling Hotel Dublin

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, staff were friendly, and I really liked the water stations right outside elevators.

Nice hotel with on-site paid garage.

The hotel was undergoing renovations so it was a bit messy in the lobby and near the bar. Paid parking is available. The parking spots are very tight but there is a very helpful attendant. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet.

We arrived around 3:30 and our room was not ready. We waited about 25 minutes for it to be cleaned then were given the key. The room was quite large and spacious including the bathroom. It smelled strongly of disinfectant but it may have been because it was just cleaned. The parking garage is very small and tight but convenient to the hotel. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again if visiting Dublin.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It’s the small details that make someone feel like home, and this hotel does it so well! Water dispensers in the lobby and the floor, ice cream downstairs, luggage storage, ample shelves for items, perfect lighting… it all made the room homey. The hotel is in a perfect spot next to transportation but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Good quality hotel. Very comfortable and well appointed room. Secure on site parking.

The property is in the latter stages of a renovation of the hotel restaurant and bar. The bar has been turned into a temporary dining room which has spoilt the atmosphere considerably. The restaurant which was always great is now poor with a very limited menu. It may recover once finished but for now it is not worthy of a luxury hotel. I cancelled an additional trip and went elsewhere for now which is a shame as I like the Ashling and have stayed there many times over several years.

Very Nice Hotel, clean and updated. Breakfast there is a very good buffet with a lot of options so I recommend adding it with your stay. Lobby and bar area is very nice with lots of space.

Great hotel with car parking - although very tight parking spaces and ramps. Clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast and evening meals good. Great location for Guinness Storehouse, which is about 15 to 20 minute walk. A bit out of the main city but Luas (tram) station only a short 3 minute walk.

Location is good, staff is friendly, But the bath didnt look clean, the pillows were old and not comfortable. And noise most of the night , it was okay but for over 200 euro per night , thats not good enough

The Ashley Hotel in Dublin has considerably declined in appearance and cleanliness since I last stayed four years ago. And my room had noticeable signs on the carpet that it had not been vacuumed. As well, there was hair left in the bathtub which indicated it had not been cleaned. The breakfast is quite overpriced for the value, and this needs to be brought in line, and as it gives one the impression they are gouging their guests.

I have stayed here a number of times and never been disapointed. The staff are great, the rooms spotless and the breakfast was also excellent. Will continue to be my go-to hotel for Dublin visits.

The staff was nice, although we requested our room to be cleaned and it wasn’t. The breakfast was a good European buffet. The location left something to be desired. While it was right across the river from Guiness, most of what we would have liked to do was more in the center of Dublin’s tourist area by Trinity College. We did use their Tram system- Luas which dropped us close to our destination but still quite a walk from there. There wasn’t much else that was convenient near this hotel. The tram or taxi or goodfree app was necessary to get around.

Friendly staff. Room clean and comfortable, but my view was a wall a couple of metres in front of the window. OK as I was on business and only there for a night, but not a room for those on a leisure trip.

The rooms are very spacious and the beds were very comfortable.

One night family stay. I liked that we had 3 beds. The hotel was nice enough and it was easy to get down to the main sites.

The breakfast is a buffet that costs €22.50 per person so we skipped it and there was no menu offered. The beds were comfortable but the room was hot and window only opens about an inch. We had to call for housekeeping services. Convenient location at Heuston so trains and buses are a step away. We also bought the Hop on/Hop off bus tour at the front desk, there is a stop right outside the hotel. Guinness factory right across the river so you can smell the hops brewing!

Great location. Room was clean and comfortable. Pillow was very hard. Plumbing in the sink was not great - hard to wash hands due to faucet being so close to the back of the sink and drain kept backing up.

We chose the Ashling as our last minute find because we needed an available two bed option for the weekend. We had a twin bed room that was surprisingly spacious, although a twin bed is a twin bed and is pretty narrow no matter how big the room is. The shower was a little rough in our room - basically very small and just a curtained area in the middle of the room so make sure to get plenty of extra towels for the floor in the aftermath. The hairdryer was really a push button toy with a cord that wasn't long enough to use it properly, but if you need it, you need it and work with what you've got. Location wise, this property is in a quieter part of the city near transportation (bus, trolly, and taxis) but it is a bit of walk into the heart of Dublin (at least a half an hour) and can get a bit arduous later at night when you're having to walk alongside a large empty park or a railway area. If you want to be closer to Temple Bar and the main attractions in the heart of the city, this isn't really your best option. However, the staff was great and the food decent (had breakfast only) and it's very close to the Guinness factory. They were also nice enough to give us a call when our room was ready a little before official check-in which is always appreciated when you've been traveling all day to get there. Overall a good experience and a solid choice for a stay around Dublin.

Comfortable and quiet. Conveniently located near bus and tram. The room was a little too warm, and we couldn’t change the heat setting beyond a few degrees. Otherwise, very nice hotel and amenities.

Rooms no longer have bottles of water and reception wont provide them, they used to give me a few to fill my CPAP machine. If you want to make tea or coffee in the room you now need to use bathroom water or get dressed head down the hall and find the water machine. It wasnt next to the lift on the 3rd floor like it is on some of the other floors so i had to go to reception floor with a kettle in my hand as i dont know if the bathroom water is suitable for drinking, probably not. I also needed to fill my cpap machine. Its a bit off putting tbh. I get trying to be greener but this is not making my stay better. I have been staying here on and off for work and personal for 7 years and slowly all the comforts of this hotel are being taken away. The beds are now so uncomfortable and hard. I literraly woke up with cramps and couldn't get a good nights sleep. My wife has now said she wants to find another hotel for our nights away.

Had a room on the first floor facing the street which was noisy. No explanation by the staff on how to get through locked doors to access the rooms by the staff it was only thanks to another guest that we found out. Convention at the time on the first floor made for a rather squashed access to rooms. Positives were the room was a good size and the breakfast was lovely. Easy location from Huston station so catching the bus from the airport is a breeze. However apart from the station and the Guinness tour there’s not much in the area and it’s out of the city centre.

The downstairs of this hotel is very nice. The moment you get to the rooms- they are dated compared to others of the same price and area. The staff at the front desk is not friendly and certainly not helpful.

Excellent location with access to shop-on-hop-off bus, train station, and Nancy Hands pub. Great room. Breakfast buffet was delicious but was definitely on the high end of our budget. Besides all that, some kind employee mailed some post cards I left on the counter by accident. They were already stamped, but I hadn’t found a place to mail them. I appreciate VERY MUCH someone taking the time to put them in a post box!

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so they substituded two rooms. Both were nice. We had an early morning, 6:30 appointment for a tour the next day and the clerk told us we needed to vacate our rooms and they would hold our luggage. This was on the way out the door. With some negotiation they allowed us to move that night instead.

Quicker checkin and room to be ready. I called 6 hours before going to hotel to ask for room to be ready. We were sent to the bar amd afyer 40 mins room was ready

The hotel was great, but especially the staff. I took a fall crossing the street to the hotel and the staff, particularly Shannon, Brendan, and Paddy, took such good care of me. If I had to fall, at least I received wonderful care.

Was somewhat disappointed in the restaurant service. On one occasion I asked for a large glass of wine and I got a small glass. On another occasion after finishing my glass of wine I had to wait at least 20 minutes for my next glass when there were three girls chatting around the desk and I had to make myself known.

Excellent Hotel. Very enjoyable stay. Easy to find, great transport connections. very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent food. Very enjoyable stay, we will be staying here again the next time we visit Dublin.

We had unparalleled service at Ashling, staying there on and off for six days as we also visited other countries. All of the staff were wonderful, but particularly Ricardo and Nacho. If we could bottle their kindness and enthusiasm to help, we would be so lucky. They had us staying in the Family Room which was spacious, incredibly comfortable beds and clean. The water bars on the 1st and 5th floors wee key. We loved our home away from home, Ashling in Dublin.

Great Dublin stay. Within half an hour walk of every major tourist attraction (and only 15 minutes from the Guinness Factory and four minutes from Heuston train station). Plus, the staff was great, the rooms quiet, and the buffet breakfast just fine. The pillows and bed were a little stiff for me, but otherwise, no complaints.

Loved our stay at the Ashling Hotel, right on the Liffey River. Beautiful spacious room, with large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Full buffet breakfast to start the day. Close to bus stops, tram right in front. Train station is also a short walk away. Park with beautiful gardens a short walk from hotel. We walked into the main Dublin shopping/dining area about 2km flat walk along river.

This hotel was fine. It was quite a bit further from everything than we were expecting. There were just a few places to eat up the street. The front desk staff was fine but not especially friendly or helpful. And maybe this is an American thing, but when they say toiletries provided, especially at a hotel in this price range, there is more than just soap and shampoo. I expected at the very least (and did not bring) conditioner and lotion. Overall, it was fine, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Great hotel, located right next to the train station, and on the light-rail line. About a 15 minute walk to city center from hotel.

Food was under par at their restaurant

Beautiful, very clean hotel that’s close to all the action in Dublin. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is decent but not 5 star. Limited selection and not very flavorful. Recommend using your money at a local restaurant instead. All in all a very comfortable experience.

We were upgraded to a Felix king and the room was so spacious with everything you need. No fridge, but available upon request. The breakfast was perfect and the hotel bar was also good.

Breakfast was delicious. Dinner service was a bit slow. The staff were friendly.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were lovely, comfy and clean. It was too far away from the hub of things but that’s why it’s quiet and you generally can’t have both. I was disappointed with the food and poor service in the bar. Breakfast was just ok although there was plenty of choice the danish pastry was tough like it was stale. All in all I felt it was over priced.

The hotel is nice. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very pleasant. The food in the restaurant was very good. However I was given a room at the front of the hotel. The rooms are not sound proofed so beware as it gets noisy outside from about 5am. My only real problem was the breakfast. I was charged €22 for cold hard eggs, cold sausages, overcooked hard inedible bacon. My advice don’t eat breakfast here.

Ashling Hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk staff were very helpful. The hotel buffet breakfast was pricey however, and doesn’t include things like cappuccinos. They have free ice cream in the lobby and dispensers for both still and sparkling water which was really handy.

We loved this hotel. The breakfast was fabulous!
