The Morgan Hotel

Cost of parking was absolutely absurd.

The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good. The prices were a bit high but that was expected for the Temple bar area we were in. The hotel was very nice and you could walk to most places in town. It was also only 15 minutes from the railway system in Dublin.

Parking was available across the street from the hotel however GPS struggled to get us to the hotel's front door. Breakfast was truly excellent with great variety. The room was adequate in size and layout and the AC worked perfectly. Great area for the local bars and restaurants. Staff was hugely helpful and were professional in all regards. We'd consider staying there for a future trip.

Area was very busy but rooms were relatively quiet. Parking can be difficult, there is a local garage but access is not exactly easy. Staff are great and hotel was very clean

Great for nightlife eating out and entertainment all easily close by. Disappointed now no pool available. Might be an idea to do a deep clean room by room..as shower was showing signs of rushed cleaning.

Convenient location in Temple Bar/central Dublin. Pleasant staff, clean room. Simple breakfast buffet. Orbitz says there is access to an indoor pool. That is no longer true.

Not worth the price they are asking. Only good thing was location. But out bathroom had a rusty drain, the metal strip where the carpet meets the rug was bent and sharp. I would not recommend this hotel. Other things that were off was the grout in the shower was moldy

Staff were very friendly and helpful, even helped us book our excursion. Also, the bartenders were very friendly. One area for improvement, our room smelled of mildew/mold. However, it was kept clean by the housekeeper each day. The hotel is in a great location.

Staff were lovely, hotel is spotless, close to temple bar and shops.

The location is very central but Fleet Street is really noisy, especially Saturday night. Very loud music was played until past 11pm which meant we could not sleep until very late. The room was spacious but carpet was stained and looked dirty. Staff was helpful and professional.

Clean and well maintained

Hotel location was brilliant staff very welcoming. The room was nice, a little tired but it was the bathroom that let it down. The shower had a lot of mould and when in use just leaked all around ver the floor Nice hotel but the bathroom would put me out ff returning

The room was spotless, friendly professional staff

The mattresses in the room were incredibly worn and painful to sleep on. The king is two twins pushed together, but they were so old we could feel every spring, the middle edges of the twins poked up, as if the stuffing was completely gone and just metal springs and edges. For 600 dollars a night, you should have a comfortable mattress. Also, disappointing no exercise room, but likely normal for the area. Lastly, the breakfast was fine, but not fantastic, and every single morning the buffet was the exact same foods. Most hotels mix it up slightly daily, but this was a carbon copy.

The bathroom tub was outdated. The lightning in the bathroom was very dim

The positives: Great location (if Temple Bar is your thing), very friendly staff, reasonably priced. The negatives: The air conditioning turns itself off after a little while - on purpose! This is apparently due to eco considerations. Fair enough, I guess (tho Ireland couldn't affect climate change if it wanted). But I don't stay at hotels without air conditioning and I don't think this was clear on the listing - at least, I certainly didn't see anything to this effect. Wouldn't stay here again for this reason. The coffee shop down the street has AC - I assume this is because they like their customers to be comfortable. I also like to be comfortable when I sleep. Also while the room was orderly, there was a couple of stains on the carpet where it looked like maybe someone had barfed. These things happen and it looked as if an attempt had been made to clean it, but I could still see it. Also some noticeable splotches on the tiles in the bathroom that (I hope) were just water or something. Another small item but kind of annoying: the TV has wireless connectivity for Android but not Apple. My last hotel could connect an iPhone easily and without issue - so this is a decision someone has made. Apple has a near 30% market share of global smartphones (and near 60% in North America) - it may be worth exploring a solution for such a huge portion of your customer base (there is hilariously an option to connect using some connection kit nobody has but I'm talking wireless).

Was great overall. Hairdryer was not usable in the bathroom because the outlet didn't support three prongs. That was annoying. AC kept turning off on a timer that you couldn't disable. Otherwise a great stay.

Room was too cold (AC on in 50 degree F weather), light in bathroom flickered, then went out completely. Noisy in the mornings.

This is a nice hotel in a very lively location. While the room was on the small side, it was nicely furnished and clean. The bathroom was great. The room was very quiet at night.

Everything was great except the room was sooo dark! I get that the window didn't bring much light because of where it was located, however they should over compensate with lighting in the room. There were only a couple lights which must have had super low-wattage bulbs. It just felt dark and grungy even though the room was clean!

Our room faced Fleet Street and it was as if we were right there in the pubs with everyone else at night. The walls are very thin. If you do stay, see if you can get a room the doesn’t face Fleet or bring ear plugs.

Needs updated. Bathrooms with large very high tub surround. I am 5 feet tall and could barely get into shower/tub. Small lobby. Awesome location. Great breakfast.

Comfortable and spacious bedroom which was well maintained and brilliantly located. 4 rather than 5* review as the bathroom whilst functional was unnecessarily small to the point of being irritating that there was no space for your toiletries.

The Morgan Hotel was conveniently located in Temple Bar and despite the location, our room was very quiet. The service was average and there were several things that could be improved. We were not informed about the breakfast at check in and so were not able to pay the reduced price. We ordered room service at 12:00am, which never came and we weren’t told it wasn’t going to come until we called an hour later. The staff were overwhelmed that weekend, as there were several events, so some of the issues may have been because of that. Overall, I would still stay again but would also look at other options in the area.

Shambolic Experience” After traveling from the Scotland and looking forward to checking in for a 2 night stay, which had been booked nine months earlier, what a disappointment awaited. Upon arrival we were advised the booking had been cancelled by their Reservations team that morning due to an “issue” with my card (note that this was a pay on arrival reservation). No waiting for me to actually arrive to sort things out. Straight out cancelled. Apparently I would have received a cancellation email and a phone call. However, I had no missed calls & no emails. I doubt they even tried. They also informed me they were fully booked and no rooms were available. Front of House staff showed no empathy and did nothing to help in finding alternative accommodation. We were left waiting in the reception area for almost two hours with not as much as a glass of water offered. The manager was apparently not onsite and we were left to arrange another hotel ourselves. This was far from easy as Dublin was full! We eventually had to pay extra for an alternative hotel which was not in the area we wanted, resulting in extra costs not just for the room but for travel, with the Morgan washing their hands of us. Utterly abysmal service and a complete lack of communication. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel. Avoid.

My go to hotel whenever I travel to Dublin so stayed many times. Always great service and comfortable rooms so would recommend

Staff professional and so helpful - check in staff member even walked us outside to point out parking entrance. Parking safe with secure entry. Very smooth check in and out procedure with clear concise directions. Great location and room quiet in spite of proximity to late night venues. Hair dryer in bathroom would be a nice addition.

Great location, amazing staff!

First off - the staff at this property were wonderful. Helped with complex logistical questions, made great referrals to Rx and other important resources we needed to find, made sure the rooms were clean and everyone was friendly and attentive. (Gave me a nice umbrella to use in a pinch! What could be more Dublin than that?) Second - despite its location in Temple Bar, our room was in the back wing- and it was amazingly quiet. We were worried about that (for good reason) but the party noise outside never came in. Pricing was fair. That is all you can ask for. Sure, I have a few minor complaints (lighting in the room was not really sufficient, there were not a lot of cabinets or furniture - so expect a rather minimal vibe) but this was a 5* stay all the way.

What makes The Morgan shine is the staff - Maria and Carolina at the front desk and Sara in the bar are fabulous and provide top notch customer service. Location is central, but keep in mind it’s in the lively Temple Bar district, so if you like something a little more quiet ask for a room towards the back of the building, which is nice and quiet. Because the Temple Bar district is so busy the property has some signs of wear….but the staff makes up for any imperfections. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hotel was located in a great area and made getting around the city real easy! I want to give a special thanks to Jack at the front desk for his help was was very accommodating to our needs! The food was excellent also, and we loved the room service!

The hotel was really nice. The staff was great, nice on-site restaurant and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the center of Temple Bar, which is good and bad. The good is its centrally located and within walking distance to many of the city attractions. The bad is its noisy at night from the drunk bar patrons and there is a stench of urine

Location perfect within walking distance of everything. Saturday can be noisy due to the crowd at temple bar. Breakfast is excellent and the staff are too, the staffs were polite helpful and welcoming. Decor and ambience of the hotel is very nice, nice bar area and a small courtyard. Comfy beds with good blackout curtains. TV is smart but does not have apps. Great size rooms we were very comfortable and had very good night sleeps.

Great clean location in the temple bar area. Very convenient for walking. But it was a bit noisy at night.

This is right in the heart of The Temple Bar neighborhood and everything is right there. We wanted something easy and accessible for our last night before we flew home. I feel this would be great for a weekend away if you want to be near all the action. Quite a noisy neighborhood.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! What an impressive hotel! The room was top class, very spacious and extremely comfortable too! Walking anywhere for touristy things from that location was a breeze. Will definitely be back!

Great location right in the heart of the Temple Bar district.

The Morgan Hotel is situated right in the convenient location in the Temple Bar, making most of the attractions of Dublin a walkable distance. There is a shopping area that is 5 minutes away from the hotel as well making it an ideal hotel to stay. Despite it being right in the middle of the Temple Bar nightlife, it was pleasantly very quiet in the room so you won’t have to worry about any noise disturbance There is also a Tesco Express one block away in case one needs a convenient mart as well as plenty of food options around the area. They do have a doorman security late at night to check for identification to separate the drunks from guests, I suppose. The one minor gripe I have is in my room that there were brown scuffle marks on the floor in the bathroom whether due to mold or scratch but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Overall, it’s the perfect hotel to book if you want to be in the heart of Dublin and convenient to most of Dublin’s attractions

The breakfast buffet was a great deal - all the Irish classics, well cooked. Set us up for the day.

The breakfast in the hotel is not much of anything at all. It’s not really that good at all not worth the money I paid for it. That’s for sure.

Lovely hotel right in the heart of Dublin. Very comfortable. Amazing shower, nice toiletries nice big comfy bed. Friendly helpful staff. Only remarks would be the breakfast food was overcooked. Hard pancakes and burnt breakfast items. Would definitely stay again but not take the breakfast.

Very attentive staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast

The only disappointment was our dinner at the hotel restaurant. We ate there last year and were blown away by the food. We had soup and that was ok the side caesar salad was witty. The crab and fig entrée salad was not very good. The signature drinks at the bar were excellent and the breakfast was very good.

Nice, comfortable, renovated property directly in the middles of Temple Bar old town. TV needs replacement as it has 10 white spots where the pixels are not working properly. Missing non-fat options in breakfast Buffett. Otherwise stay was very nice.

Nice and central. Location could not be better. Good facilities. Room good size. Has an elevator or two. Breakfast was good. My only recommendation would be get a coffee machine for breakfast so you don’t have to keep asking for a coffee.
