The Croke Park Hotel

Probably the best so far per my experience of hotels in Dublin. Best amenities, good food, and good gym with water and towels.

Stayed for a couple of nights ahead of the Oasis concerts. Hotel is great, very quiet, comfortable beds and pillows. Used the gym once, which is adequate for a quick workout, though being connected to the GAA could have expected it to be more of a showpiece. Breakfast was fabulous and great value too. Getting into Dublin centre is approx 30 min walk, or easily done from nearby Drumcondra which is one stop on the train. We found the public transport excellent for service, reliability and value compared to home in the UK and used it extensively throughout our stay.

I was surprised we had to pay a parking fee, especially when told if we had booked directly with the hotel there would have been no fee!

Pretty happy with the hotel, there is under ground car park although I am sure I was told it was included when I paid at the hotel but had to pay on exit, I didn't have time to check so potentially reception told me it wasn't included and I misheard. We booked last minute due to ferry time changes. They accommodated a travel cot at a last minute request and it was set up in the room for us. Reasonable price and was a nice and clean hotel.

Everything was fine with the stay. Main complaint was when "parking available" is indicated, i wasn't expecting to pay 15Euro/night to park. It should read Fee for parking. I specifically picked this hotel as because of parking. Other hotels indicate there is a fee. Then had to stop by deask to have ticket validated every time we left.

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms were clean and a good size. Very convenient for an event at the stadium. Staff accommodated a slightly early check-in. There’s parking for a surcharge which was ver convenient.

The room was nice and the room service was great. There weren't any laundry facilities on site. Our first night was very loud. It seemed like a club, but the music could be heard on the third floor.

I got trapped in the elevator. Couldn’t go up and couldn’t go down. Couldn’t even open the doors. Had to bang on the door and ask for help when I heard voices. When I checked out I mentioned the elevator trouble and they said it’s a known issue with the key cards. Also we got one hot shower this morning and mine was cold.

Fabulous stay, as ever. Outstanding service. Excellent food - both restaurant and room service. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful decor.

Nice enough. Kind of run down. Stained carpets and furniture. People yelling in the halls at 8am. Not the best.

The “Crook Park” is More Like It Where to start… 1. This place is WET. Moisture can be felt as soon as you enter the room. It’s in the linens, the carpet, the curtains. Everything is damp and musty, and I’m quite sure the peeling wallpaper has to do with that moisture. 2. Upon unfolding one of the towels, there was dirt in the shape of what looked like a handprint. I nearly gagged. 3. I reserved a room with a queen bed, and we received a room with a full bed plus a flimsy roll-away bed. Overall, this was the worst hotel stay I’ve had in a very long time. The whole night was spent uncomfortably, and we ran out as soon as we could the next morning. I’m not sure how this hotel has the rating it does, but something must be rigged because I’ve had more comfortable sleeps sitting upright on a plane.

There are a few pubs and restaurants that are walkable. We stayed on a Monday also and a lot of places were closed. Our goal for this night was just to be closer to the airport. However, aside from the entry floor that was lovely (lobby, bar etc.) the place is clearly beat down from the event clientele across the street. The room floors corridors are all carpet (carpet aka “spilled beer and food stains, etc 👀 soaker-upper”). Also, replace or reupholster fabric chairs in rooms to a wipeable surface - for the love of better reviews! We had a chair removed from our room for reasons that I’ll spare the reader. That hallway carpet was disgusting. I don’t even recommend staying here for events. Find a place that’s being taken care of properly. I know I’ve mentioned the carpet enough except I haven’t. Remove it! And if the room furniture is obviously disgusting like ours was, train your crew to address the problem before sending guests to their room. My other room that our travel companions were in had a similar furniture issue, though not as bad and they did not have them remove it. The service at the desk was fantastic. It has potential to be as nice as the entrance floor but someone needs to know what they are doing. I would not label this hotel as “Luxury”… yet. Did I mention the disgusting carpet in the hallways? 😉

I’ve stayed in a right few hotels both in Ireland and abroad but this was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in and also has the most pleasant staff I’ve encountered anywhere. Always happy to help and nothing is a problem. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Dublin.

Rooms are spotless, really comfortable beds, great amenities. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Lobby and restaurant was good. Rooms were average and bathrooms weren’t great. Shower had a leak and flooded. Tub has a rusty spout.

We both really like the hotel. Clean, really big bed and comfy too. Spacious room with nice decoration. Nice pub downstairs for a drink. Hotel Staff were very friendly. Only downside is that it’s about a 20min walk to the heart of the city, but not much of an issue if you want to see the sights, recommend catching a taxi if you have luggage. Overall a great stay

Lovely big rooms, clean and very comfortable..

Everything here is comfortable and accommodating. The bathroom is spacious. The only things I didn’t care for were the noise level at times (we were there after a busy match day though) and the beds roll easily. But I would stay again. The staff is courteous and pleasant. I do wish rooms had the option to connect but they don’t (in case you need two rooms for family like we did)

Loved that there was A/C! We enjoyed our clean and cozy room. The area was also quiet, mind you I don’t think there was a game happening at Croke Park while we stayed. Lovely hotel!

Rooms were spacious. Bathrooms very clean with an oversized tub and shower. Extremely luxurious.

Only negative no bedside sockets and no usb ports

We were guests there with my children and there spouses. We are from the US. The staff at the front desk were polite, helpful, kind and patient. The breakfast was delicious and the apple juice tasted like fresh pressed apple juice. It was my daughters birthday and the breakfast staff helped us sing Happy Birthday to her. Michael was working at the front desk and at 2 am I was working on a project in my room and called down to Michael and asked for some tape. He said I will send it right up. There was a knock on the door and upon opening the door, I found Michael with some tape and a smile. I will remember that superb guest service!

Absolutely terrible service. I booked this hotel and arrived around 7pm. when I arrived, i was told my room was not ready and left to wait for 20 mins. The manager then told me they had over booked and there was no room for me. This was at 7pm, they had ample time to contact me so i could alter my plans. They obviously hoped i would not turn up. I was then sent to a differnt, much cheaper hotel despite not being refunded what i had paid for this hotel. On top of this, the manager ran away to a back room and refused to deal with my issue. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Staff at reception tried to charge me twice for breakfast. I had to show them the transaction on my phone, the receipt, and the last four digits on my card that I used to pay, before they would believe me that I had paid. The hotel is ok, but if it wasn't for the location being handy for my nearby business meetings, I couldn't stay there.

The property doesn't apparently know what a king bed is, and we had a significant check in issue that included giving us a key to an already occupied room. A mess.

Just average property, not that well located either.

Thai hotel is NOT in a safe area, the neighborhood is very unsafe and it’s very expensive to catch a taxi/uber to the main area. The hotel is only good for large tour groups that come with transportation.

Personnel très aimable, bon confort,calme. Environnement sans grand attrait mis à part sa promiscuité avec le stade. Le centre ville est à 45 mn à pieds.

We had a pleasant two night stay at The Croke Park Hotel. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel felt and looked like a four star. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel really but everything looked nice from what we saw. A 10 minute walk into the city centre.

Hotel itself is fine, on the soorstep of Croke Park Stadium. However, it is about a 20 minute walk from city centre if that is what you are looking for. No issues with the hotel, was a nice stay.

Amazing hotel, very clean & staff were outstanding. Food was beautiful & beds very comfortable. We most definitely be booking again in the near future.

Housekeeping was fantastic! The hotel front desk staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area when I needed to find things. I didn't care for the dining room, not enough food options, and not enough staff to handle the volume.

Absolutely loved it. Stayed for the all Ireland semi final. Perfectly located next to the stadium. Lovely staff, great bar, amazing breakfast! Will definitely go again.

the room was lovely, the breakfast was an absolute disgrace, i very much regret paying the 15 euro per day for it. Sat amongst multiple tables laden with dirty crockery, buffet breakfast was not hot, no glasses available for Orange Juice, 15 minute wait for a cup of coffee, no bowls for cereal. Terrible service.

I ordered some food after concert on Sunday night , Food was horrendous, burger was cooked I’d say 6 hrs previously for barbecue that was earlier, it was cold , burned , bun soggy and wet , chips were inedible , cold, hard, burnt and absolutely gross, shocking to say the least, Very disappointed because all other aspects of hotel stay was very satisfying, Please do better, Food matters 🙏

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had wonderful experience. Our room was quite, clean and very comfortable, perfekt for a good nights sleep. The breakfast was good with a great variety to choose from, and everything was fresh and tasty. You can also order extra breakfast like pancakes or vegan alternatives to the full irish Breakfast. Everyone from the staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Thank you for making our trip to Dublin even more enjoyable. We'd love to come back!
