Harcourt Hotel

Comfy bed, good sized room. Just a bit noisy, from nightclub and late nighters returning to rooms.

The hotel was great and conveniently located. Everything worked well and was functional. Hotel is located above 2 nightclubs, which is noisy! We arrived from out flight late and parking was at a public car park 1.2km away, with a minimal rebate on the rate. Staff checkin was functional, but no offer to assist my wife with bags, while I walked back from parking. Otherwise, highly recommended for a city break.

The room was too noisy - from LOUD, LOUD music from below in the bar / nightclub. This was not only at night but during the afternoon, on a Spanish Day! Given the hotel was not full, I should have been given a room on the road side. The music was deafening. The water was never hot enough for showering.

Incredible hotel. Property was like nothing I've ever seen before. Bar/food prices were very reasonable AND it was great food/drinks. The room was wonderful as well. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is how disrespectful the bar manager came off. On different occasions, he treated my wife and I as if we'd never stepped foot in a restaurant in our lives. Very condescending. After first picking up on this, we sat around and noticed other patrons being treated the same way. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place. The entire staff was great aside from the aforementioned bartender. You'll definitely enjoy your stay. Just don't be surprised when someone treats you like you're stupid.

Centrally located hotel next to pubs, restaurants, public transport (tram/luas/ airport bus stop) & coffee shops. If the weather is nice you can walk down to Trinity / Temple Bar or take the tram for a 5-8mins journey. Given it’s an old historical building, the hotel only has elevators to floor level 3, so if you’re staying on upper floors, the porter will be a godsend. There’s a lot of construction around currently, so it does wake you up early and nothing Harcourt can do about that.

Trevligt hotell på lagom promenadavstånd till Dublin centrum, Temple bar området och övriga intressanta sevärdheter som Guinness Storehouse mm. God frukost. Högt ljud från Beer Garden (väldigt trevlig) störde genom fönstret. Öronproppar rekommenderas om man är känslig.

Within walking distance to Dublin centre and St.Stephen's Green. Had amazing burgers with our Guinness in the bar. Staff very helpful and professional. Discount car-park provided some distance away. Great historic ambiance.

Decent hotel and value for (reasonably) central Dublin. Although parking was 0.5 mile away and area was a bit noisy with people partying and walking by. Check out the HUGE beer garden if you go, great bar and decent breakfast. Thanks!

A great location within walking distance from temple bar area, quiet at night even though the bar and club was underneath the hotel.

The parking situation is not desirable. It costs $24 for overnight at the nearest parking garage, .5 mile walk. Would be great if they offered a service for this- shuttle service or discount on fees?? Hotel was nice until we found a discarded sock from previous occupants on floor between the bed and side table on our last night. Also no air in the rooms. Showers steamed up entire room and kept everything humid throughout the night.

Excellent hotel in central Dublin. I was in town for a class reunion and this was just what I was looking for, great location and price, all while being very comfortable. Room was on floor 5 and lifts only go to floor 3, but I knew about this in advance from other reviewers and this wasn’t an issue for me. Seagulls on the roof were loud in the early hours but hotel provided earplugs in room. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Very clean hotel, would recommend.

The room was tiny but clean. Saturday night there was loud, techno music from a nearby club until the early hours of the morning… Sunday night was fine.

I was in room 5106, 5th floor where the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor. Luckily I had a small suitcase, but climbing up to the 5th floor would have been really tough. No sitting chair, bed comfortable, but pillows were like paving stones - need replacing.

Helpful check-in. We arrived early, so they were happy to store our bags until room was ready & we went off for lunch. Room was large with huge bed & a lounge area with easy chairs. Very nice.

The good: - front staff were very nice, arranged taxi for early morning to airport, and in terms of location, there are some cool pubs and restaurants in walking distance, and a little less touristy ... The less good: dated, small, no ventilation (we had to open window), room facing street on 3rd floor, and yes it was Friday night, so partiers out past 2, and we heard them and the metro passing by... so if looking for a great night sleep, this is NOT it. And of course the price was jacked way up due to the Steelers/Vikings game - little choice was left when we booked (thats on us)!

This was the most pathetic stay in my lifetime. The staff was extremely irresponsible and carefree.There were multiple issues with hotel that I had faced: 1. Wi-Fi did not work at all. On complaining of same they said they will get the router guy come and check the same, and then no follow up. On complaining the second time they said we can give you another room with better connectivity the next day, keep all your stuff at reception. Come on who does that ,I am your customer on a business visit I can’t wait till tomorrow! my work gets impacted but they were pretty cold towards the issue & did not bother to check later either. 2. The cleaning staff won’t put the basic shower gel soap etc in place if u use it the next day. 3. You will have to call them again and again for water. The housekeeping won’t even keep the water in the room. 4. I asked them to book a cab when I checked out, which they did using FreeNow, however the cab did not come even after 10 mins. Upon requesting the receptionist to help and share the number of the cab driver , she lied saying she doesn’t have access to the drivers number. All because she didn’t care or bother. Using the same app, I booked the cab and was able to contact my driver. 5. Last but not the least, if you are on a business trip avoid hotel on Friday or Saturday night as they have a night club and the area is very noisy and crowded till 3 am. I was staying at 2 floor & up whole night, after travelling for 15 hours. Totally not worth it!

Our hotel was so convenient to the city centre. Rooms were lovely and clean, beds comfortable, the only drawback was, the room was small but as we were only staying one night it was fine

Good location. Room and area very clean and neat. The hotel Wi-Fi did not reach our room, was not told when we were allocated the room, received the password, actually. It is on the tram route, very handy for getting into city centre. Only a small point the Wi-Fi, and would definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to return to it. Hopefully a different room.

Quite noisey/traffic, LUAS constantly outside around early morning.

This hotel was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. They even let me leave my bags at the front desk before checking in so I could venture around the city without lugging a suitcase behind me. They did the same when I checked out! Wonderful staff. Only down side was the bar and restaurant were wayyyyy to overpriced. I went in. Sat down. Saw the menu and walked out. It's wild BC really nice pubs and restaurants are cheaper than the hotel bar. Not cool guys. Other than that, it was amazing. Great room. Beds were so comfy and the shower was perfection. High pressure and you can have it super hot, if that's your thing.

We were aware of the nightclub noise but not the construction jackhammer noise. We requested a room change from the day staff and was told nothing could be done. Later we checked with the night staff - Maya who switched us with no problem. The rooms had no heat which we were told hasn’t been turned on yet

On our last night we had a drunk female intruder in our room. She walked in and used our restroom then locked herself in there. Our door was locked but she was able to gain access. The hotel took zero responsibility and had no cameras near our room to show how she was able to access it. The police and management took 4 hours to arrive. We were terrified and traumatized at 4am when everything happened and throughout the ordeal. Thankfully we were checking out that morning. The hotel has stated it was our fault she was able to gain entry. They have not allowed us to speak to upper management. They are not offering a refund. They showed no sense of urgency during the ordeal to have management onsite (they arrived 4 hours later). Management stated it was our issue and negligence even after we showed them the door could be opened without a key (which we were not aware of until after the incident). Police couldn’t site fault due to the video footage being away from our door. This seemed to be a regular occurrence for the hotel based on their demeanor, lack of empathy, and lack of urgency or care. I would stay far far away. You’re better off on a park bench than this extremely loud, run down, non-secure hotel. But don’t take my word for it, just wait for the 4am naked drunk person to use your bathroom while you sleep then be woken up in terror. This place deserves negative stars!!

The Harcourt hotel is in a great location for accessing points of interest in Dublin. It's also extremely noisy late at night, making it difficult to sleep. We got by the noise by having a fan on next to our bed, which drowned out the partying with white noise. I would not want to stay here in the summer as I expect it would be stuffy and hot (no AC). Late September was ok, which is why I went ahead and booked our room

Staff are very welcoming and professional. Bed was comfy and clean. Bathroom small, but efficient. Have hot water maker for tea in room as well as tea,sugar and cream, very nice. Hotel old, but well kept. Breakfast was fresh and buffet style so you can eat as much as you can, though no to many choices of food. Location is great a walkable distance from everything. Took public bus from DUBLIN Airport, like four euros and left me a couple of blocks from hotel. It took like one hour to get there, but hotel checking wasn't until 4pm so we got plenty of time. Only negative was the checking time too late at 4pm is outrageous you don't know where to go to kill time when you are tired ater a long trip

Great location right beside the Luas (tram) stop. Street has a lot of night clubs but it was quieter than expected (though staff gave us ear plugs so sometimes it must get loud). Huge room and modern bathroom. No air conditioning if there's a hear wave though. Key card access so feels secure.

The property is very central and just a few minutes walk to shopping areas, St. Stephen's Green, Trinity and has great dining options nearby. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful except for one rude front office agent - which really ruins your first impression of a place, bit the other staff was very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel muy cercano al centro. A unos 15-20 min a pie de la zona más céntrica de bares y tiendas en Dublin. Parada próxima de tranvía de la ciudad. Cerca también de parada de bus directo al aeropuerto. Servicio y habitación correcto. No probamos la restauración

We had a one night stay in the Harcourt Hotel and it was great.....Food was excellent in the 1900 restaurant, the rooms were very comfortable and there was a great choice for breakfast. I would highly recommend The Harcourt Hotel and hope to stay there again in the future.

Place clean and comfortable, ensuite small but adequate, one little fault, no tray in shower for soap/shampoo. Breakfast excellent, one of the best buffets I have seen with very attentive staff. Great connectivity, Luas almost outside the door

Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was small with a small shower which was in an awkward position. Location of hotel was good- 10-15 minute walk from Grafton Street. Breakfast was lovely. I opted to eat in the hotel bar one night and the pizza was delicious.

Breakfast was very mediocre, had to get it reheated.

The check-in was easy and fast. We mentioned that one person was lacto and gluten intolerant, and we needed lacto free and gluten-free products. I had mentioned this when doing tge booking too. The first morning we had to leave early and staff kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us. One of the sandwiches was gluten free but it had cheese inside (same than the other sandwiches); all the yogurts contained milk. The breakfast on the second day was good. Gluten free bread and oat milk available. The service was very good. Staff friendly and attentive. Several coffees were offered. Unfortunately the service during our last breakfast in the hotel was disappointed and lacked the professionalism from the previous day. We had to wait over half an hour to get a coffee, we asked several times and when we got one, i had half a cup, very weak/watery coffee and my sister had half, the waitress/supervisor came back to fill my sister's cup but not mine. She said they did not have oat milk and it was Sunday, so they couldn't buy any more. I found it unacceptable that non-dairy alternatives are not available wbe you have informed the hotel and they know how long you are going to stay there for. We were not offered a second coffee, so i approached the same waitress and ask her if i could have one. She said she had gone back earlier to fill my cup (I'm sure she was thinking about my sister's). Is it too much to ask for a second (or first full and hot one in my case) cup of coffee???
