Metro Hotel Dublin Airport

Parking situation confusing and awkward. Cant enter parking without key but nowhere to park in order to fetch the key

The restaurant is very good. However, we chose this restaurant because it has a gym and that was a bit underwhelming. The machines were not well maintained and there were no mats or towels.

The room was nice and the front desk staff was good but we waited for well over an hour for the shuttle which had broken down. It would have been nice if they explained the situation when we called. The driver who did come to pick us up was fantastic

we waited at the airport for over an hour for the shuttle in cold wet weather Apart from this everything about the hotel was excellent.

The room is clean and the services was great. I would surely recommend. They have good airport shuttle system.

Underground parking difficult

Perfect in every way. Shuttle staff very friendly and helpful.

We did not have breakfast, it didn’t open until 7 a.m. Room was quiet. Shuttle was broken a taxi was provided on time. No issues. Room was clean, beds were comfortable.

This was an okay place to stay for 1 night during our layover, but i wouldn't go out of the way to stay here. The staff, however, was very friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with their provided shuttle and they reimbursed us for uber/taxi fees.

It was difficult to find the pick up point for the shuttle bus, the airport needs more so she and the hotel should provide more / better instructions with booking confirmation. Once at the hotel everything is great. Note shuttles run every 30 min except there is no 9am or noon shuttles. So plan accordingly for your arrival time

Lovely room, comfortable bed, and delightful staff. Fluffy towels were appreciated. Bathroom shower pan had a few hairs and lint, and the wall with the towel rail had several damaged spots, in an otherwise beautiful bathroom. Very nice restaurant with caring staff and good food. Will return.

Our very short stay here was perfect. The hotel and room was clean, comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. The staff was wonderful and the shuttle to the airport was of huge help.

The room was clean but very cramped. The hallways were a bit dirty. The staff was warm and friendly. The shuttle was very convenient and dropped us where we needed to be.

We booked this hotel last minute due to a cancelled flight. We booked based on the 4 star rating and reviews along with the airport shuttle which helped us a lot. We booked for 4 people and the only property type was an apartment. On arrival, the entrance to hotel was really nice and the reception were very welcoming. We were told our room was via an external entrance and on the 11th floor. When we exited the lift we noticed cracked glazing to the windows with several other maintenance issues. When we entered the room, there was a strong odour and the apartment was unclean. We called reception and they kindly moved us to the 8th floor which was no better. The flooring was all damaged and is poor condition. Food waste in the entrance hall, hair the bed, spillages on the heater and general feel of uncleanliness. This apartment also had a strong odour. By this time, it was late and we had a young child who was hungry so we had no option but to go the restaurant have food and just use it for a few hour sleep before our early flight. The sofa and chair in the living area was that dirty I wouldn’t let the children sit on them. The internal fire doors had started delaminating which can affect their integrity. I don’t know understand how the hotel management thinks these apartments are safe and in an acceptable condition for hotel guests to stay in. I never leave bad reviews but this stay was up there with one of the worst conditions we have seen in a hotel accommodation.

The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The general appearance of the hotel was good. Convenient transfer to the airport. My only real complaint was I found some kind of bugs in the room, which grossed me out.

The room and bathroom were both very clean and all the staff we engaged with were great.

Quiet area, decent room, towels smelled weird and bathroom wasn't especially clean.

In the room there were pistachio shells lying on the floor which made me feel like the room wasn’t cleaned properly. It was a very nice hotel though.

Wir brauchten für 2 Tage eine Unterkunft und das war wirklich mit Anstand das günstigste Hotel in Flughafennähe. Von außen sieht es wirklich furchtbar aus. Von innen ist es etwas altbacken. Unser Zimmer war recht modern. Allerdings standen die Flure voll mit Dreckwäschesäcken. Oder Müll und leeren Flaschen. Das Bett war bequem, Kissen und Decken waren bequem aber teilweise zerrissen. Die Vorgänge hatten Brandlöcher und die Dusche war nicht sauber. Die Dusche hatte ordentlich Druck Die Fenster ließen sich nicht richtig schließen. Alle Zimmer liegen an der Straße und es ist sehr laut. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Wenn man wie wir laute Nachbarn hat, ist es nicht angenehm . Der Fön war ebenfalls defekt

The hotel was in a good location close to the airport. The room was clean and nicely remodeled but the hallways were worn down. They had a great restaurant but the service for lunch was very slow.

Great room. Dinner was very good and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Since this was a hotel near the airport I thought I would hear planes but it was traffic noise well into the night that wasn’t great.

The people are really great - friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing - new, well planned and thoughtful The pillows had seen better days - compressed and flat. Fortunately, I’d brought my own, which probably tells you I’m picky I wish the doors banged less but they didn’t keep me awake

Close to airport, clean, lots of space. 8th floor 2-bedroom apartment was a little warm on a sunny day (with no AC) But did cool down at night. Good bed

Mediocre at best. Very expensive for the experience provided. Room was baking hot, unable to check in 15 minutes early, so had to leave bags and head back to Dublin center. Finish of rooms leaves a cheap appearance with vinyl flooring delaminating showing huge gaps. Additionally, the local area is very loud and the labyrinth of doors, which need improved dampers lead to a very loud and unpleasant experience. Premium price, poor experience. Would not advise staying here.

As a frequent business traveller I always request a quiet room. Unfortunately there were limited rooms available when I checked in and the room I was allocated was incredibly noisy. Directly outside my window, there was a steam of heavy traffic driving past or stopping at traffic lights then revving away. With totally inadequate sound-proofing I hardly slept at all. Having had this experience I checked the reviews and notice a number of other travellers have had the same experience. A shame as the staff were very good.

The TV only work from connecting to your phone and BlueTooth, however, as far away from the center of the hotel as we were, we had zero internet access. Two individuals at the facility were unable to fix this problem. Gratefully, we only were over-nighting to return to the airport. The shuttle was free! And hotel was at the end of the bus line, that was helpful.

Really awesome hotel just 20min from the airport, has free shuttle service to and from as well. Good on eco friendly, but you are unable to adjust the fan and temp in the room as it is locked to one setting.

The shower’s hot water unable to adjust cooler. Too hot. No air conditioning in apartment. Otherwise the apartment was good with a living room n kitchen.

The Hotel room we had was lovely and spacious but unfortunately overlooked busy road and the every noise could be heard from outside. We didn't get any sleep at all . They need to soundproof and get windows triple glazed.

Liked king-sized beds and airport shuttle bus. Staff in the bar/restaurant were terrible. Left people standing waiting to be seated for at least 10 minutes while they continually walked by without any acknowledgement that six people were standing right by them, three feet away.

I booked thru Expedia. But I had a few questions regarding shuttle bus and dropping bags early in the day. The Metro staff responded to my emails almost immediately. When we arrived, all was as they said it would be as well, the staff offered extremely helpful information about catching local buses, touring Dublin and other pieces outside of their hotel. The staff is excellent at this hotel. Yes I would stay here again

We waited at the airport for over an hour for the shuttle, which during the day picks up ever :15 and :45 at Zone 16. Finally we took a taxi for 22 Euro to the hotel and arrive at 5:10pm. The van was AT the hotel, just sitting there. According the front desk "They run on a very strict time schedule." How is that possible, as the airport is more than 5 minutes away and the van is sitting there? He told us he would look into why the van was not at the airport, and he would get back to us. Later that evening after not hearing back I went to the front desk, and the gentleman was not longer there. While the room was clean and comfy, we will definitely not stay there again after the lack of followup and communication.

This hotel turned what was an unexpected setback during our trip into a wonderful opportunity to visit this lovely city and this amazing and unique hotel. World class quality service and room that we would have missed. They went above and beyond twice to see us settled in, and back out to the airport. We are going to include Dublin and this hotel in our itinerary next holiday, because of how pleasant the experience was.

Clean, comfortable hotel that includes a free airport shuttle. The area around the hotel isn't that exciting but the place was perfect for our last night in Ireland before flying out.

Great hotel convenient to airport. Don’t expect anything with the aesthetics of location is you’re hoping to go for a walk or run.

Great location close to Dublin Airport. The free airport shuttle service is wonderful for a weary traveler. The staff was helpful. A lovely young lady at the front desk helped me with the WIFI. Plus, it is your last opportunity to enjoy a yummy Guinness before you leave Dublin!

The area is a little shady but other than that it was great

Excellent check people and the staff were very accommodating. The area around the hotel really isn’t a shopping or activity area. The rooms are nice and they have an excellent shuttle system to the airport.

There isn’t much around the hotel in the way of shops or restaurants.

This property is convenient for a one night stay near airport. Otherwise it's a 30+ min bus ride or a $20+ taxi ride to the city. The area around the hotel is sketchy, I wouldn't want to be at the bus stop or walking nearby after dark. The hotel itself is ok, the smell in the lobby was really off putting but the room accommodated me fine. The free airport shuttle is a plus.

Your front office staff (Ruta) and restaurant staff (Amanda) were exceptional. However, the quality of food we received after staying and eating there for 11 days was very poor. Your Chef watered down the Seafood Chowder to such an extent, it was like dishwater. I was so angry that we would be given disgusting food. From that day, we never ate in the Lounge/restaurant again.

We stayed one night to have convenient transportation to and from the airport. The room was wonderful as was staff. We ate in the restaurant… food was just ok (not great). We did, however love the staff there. Drinks were great!!

The food and beverage options at the on site restaurant were excellent and convenient.

Clean, modern, comfortable room. Generous early check-in policy, which was much appreciated. Restaurant dinner menu was very limited, and there was no viable alternative in the neighbourhood. Hot breakfast was very expensive for what was provided; continental breakfast was reasonable value.

Price for the room was resonable compared to other hotels in the area. Dining options in the area were limited - luckly the hotel restaurant was excellent

The room was super clean! One shortcoming was that there was neither a mini-fridge nor an ice machine available. There are many reasons that guests may need to keep something cool, so I wish you'd reconsider that decision. We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be good. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed and made some mistakes at various tables. I'm not sure if she was given too many tables, or what the problem was, but she was struggling a bit and it affected the experience. The neighborhood didn't seem very good, but we didn't go out walking, so we felt comfortable and safe enough.

Pleasant reception, great location near the airport, delicious dinner with plenty of choices, and a nice, comfortable bedroom made our stay truly enjoyable.
