I’ve stayed in several Doubletree properties around the world and this has been the poorest experience by a country mile. Check-in: very small area, positioned in a corner. This means when other guests are standing around chatting, it is difficult to access the reception desk, especially with luggage. Room: I stayed in a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, Corner room. Other than the entrance to the room being in the corner of the corridor, you cannot tell this is a corner room. There is a single, long window on one wall which the bed faces. Air conditioning is fantastic. Shower pressure is very good, though the ceiling is low, which doesn’t make for a comfortable experience standing in the bathtub (I am 6’). Cleanliness: average to poor. Clothing, which I assume belonged to the previous occupant, was left on the window ledge. Thick dust covered the glasses in the bathroom (there were no glasses in the room itself). I dropped some medication and had to retrieve it from under the bed… needs a mop! Breakfast: abysmal. The kitchen has been being renovated since 17 April (it is now 2 June). Juice positioned in the far corner making it inaccessible, especially when busy. A single toaster (bread pictured was after 3 toasting seasons), food either being cooked outside in a can or microwaved in a make-shift kitchen. Waited for hash browns and chose two as soon as they arrived: chilled in the centre. Fire alarm went off at 05:30. I’ve never had such a poor stay in a premium brand.

It was not fun walking up the stairs when the only working elevator stopped working for a day or so. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant but confused at times. They attempted to give us other people’s orders on more than one occasion. Leaf blowing around guests eating was also not good.

The property was wonderful and clean. We spent a lot of time in the restaurant, watching England, play in the Euros! Walking distance to so many places, easy access to the tube and tons of local restaurants and pubs.

The lift(s) where broken for our whole stay, five nights. We had to walk up 5 floors each day. If the lifts had been working we would have been very pleased with our stay and had nothing to complain about. But broken for five days is a long time, when celebrating a 70-year birthday.

lift was broken so had to go in 1 lift - 1 floor then walk through carpark to service lift (needed staff member to take you - always available , parking charge waivered due to lift issues. Breakfast was really good quality and loads of choices from hot to cold. Never got our cookie on check in, couple next to us did- but never mind!! 12 check out is fab! opposite Hyde Park and close to tube , pubs, food, tesco express! will book again

The room was pretty basic for a £200 a night room. The secondary glazing was good as my room faced onto a busy road. Their restaurant was 'broken' so my breakfast was a cereal bar and a croissant in a plastic box. Wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent location - tube stations a couple of minutes walk. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Small supermarkets a few minutes walk. Leisurely walk through Kensington gardens to Knightsbridge. Staff very helpful and polite. Rooms quiet, clean and modern and a decent size. Bathroom clean and modern with a lovely hot shower with good water pressure! Crabtree toiletries - shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner. I would definitely stay in this hotel at this location again. The area has a lovely quiet, safe feel but lots around you to do and quick underground links to other areas of London.

The room was poorly maintained. The pillows smelled of body odor. The shower tile was mildewed. The shower-head did not spray well as it was leaking volumes of water. The desk in the room was stained with multiple water stains. Many happy dust bunnies! The AC worked fine. Employees were helpful if you could get their attention. The front desk would not answer the telephone on multiple tries. Had to walk down to the desk to get help. Employees behind the front desk ignored eye contact, would not offer help, and would not offer to direct me to someone responsible for helping. One of these persons was obviously a supervisor. The restaurant food was not good. The decor was cheap and dated. Food was poorly prepared. The restaurant reeked of old/spoiled fish whenever they fried fish and chips. The restaurant smelled as bad as a dirty fish market. That strong fish smell permeated our room when it was cooking.

Construction ongoing directly next the Hotel. In Addition there was a Generator(?) runnig 24/7 directly in Front of our window. Also the floor was dirty as they would never had heard of a Vacuum?!? If you think of Hilton, you would NOT expect something like this.

Pretty standard Hilton hotel… good but not exceptional. Breakfast was very busy at 7am and items were being restocked slowly. Other than that the room was comfortable and clean… a few bits that could have done with a bit of TLC - the toilet roll holder was broken, the tv kept flickering and one of the drawers wouldn’t close properly.

The hotel is ideally located near busstop and metro, with convenient stores and eateries! Service was good too and room came with 2 cans of water each day. Everything are not bad, except that the shower water's tempature kept fluctuating between very hot and hot.

Ideal location with Hyde Park across the street and buses right outside the door. Our room was very small which was ok but woken up at 6:30 am to someone vacuuming. Toilet was running constantly and shower didnt drain so we had a small flood. Housekeeping knocking on our door at 8:15 am to clean room. No peace.

Positives: Reception staff very friendly | Hotel was in great location - 5 mins from Underground station and right across the road from Kensington Park. Lovely area. Very close to Notting Hill. Vibrant area. Room was on the small side but well appointed and more than adequate for our requirements during our stay. Didn't eat in the hotel. We had a disappointing over priced Aperol Spritz in the bar on the 1st night. Negatives: Our room on arrival was incredibly hot despite it being no more than 15 degrees outside. Even stepping out the lift in to the corridor leading to the room was very hot. We had a dinner reservation so put on the AC in the room and hoped it would cool down but no luck. On return, room was still unbearably hot. Reception brought up a fan and looked at AC and assured us room would cool down. It didn't! We were so tired after a days travelling so went to bed but had a very restless and sweaty night! It was like sleeping in a room in Italy in July with no Air con! I contacted reception in the morning and asked to be put in a different room. In their defence, staff were again helpful and moved us to a room on the 1st floor. What a difference! Air con worked and room was very cool and we slept well. Shame we couldn't have had this the 1st night! In hindsight, for what we were paying per night, I should have insisted on swapping room before going to bed on 1st night. Dissapointed that no compensation was offered. Had to pay for the spritz too!

I had 2 nights reservation June 10th through June 12th ( booked 45 days in advance and fully paid). As I stayed in this hotel before I booked a king size bed knowing that it’s a larger room to be more comfortable, in addition I paid for breakfasts. I was looking for a comfortable stay in London, and this is what happened instead: I arrived to the hotel on June 10th at 11:35 PM. The hotel staff at the reception informed me that they are overbooked and there are no rooms available. The fact that my reservation was confirmed and fully paid meant nothing to them. The hotel staff was not taking responsibility for this problem , they were rude and borderline aggressive. They basically gave me an ultimatum: either to sleep on the street or accept their offer of alternative hotel nearby. In the middle of the night I had no choice but to go to the hotel Corus . I paid $385 a night in Doubletree, and the room I stayed in Corus was horrible: filthy shoebox! The pictures are attached. On top of that I had my medications that needed to be stored in the fridge- the room in Corus hotel didn’t have a fridge. Therefore I want to request a full refund for my ruined trip to London.

Room was clean, amenities good but the front desk staff was exceptional! Vijay spent so much time printing out directions and reviewing them with us for a special ABBA Arena Show that we had tickets to attend. The night if the show on the way to the tube I fell and injured myself. Louis was amazing when we came back to the hotel in helping in hwlping my roommate contact the venue to cancel, print up the forms needed for a refund etc. couldn’t have done it without him!

It was an amazing experience at this hotel. We loved the warm welcome and cookies upon arrival, all the staff were friendly and efficient. The dining area was kept cleaned quickly as the tables were vacated. Even when we left we were treated as old friends. We would go back and stay there again, and we highly recommend the property.

Check in took far too long . We had a clogged sink and after to two calls to fix, they just took the piece out of the sink and left it on the counter. Staff not too friendly and they never had water available!

Having stayed during a super busy time right before Christmas and the week after, the reception team were so professional, friendly and helpful! While the entire team was great we often interacted with Namitha and Vinay who were unbelievable! My wife and I were hugely impressed by their kindness and professionalism. Namitha was amazing and she would immediately address our Asks and needs. we will never forget the time excellent client service from Vinay, Morabi, Sebastien, Anjali and Anastsia! If we go back to London we’re staying at this hotel! A side note, the location is great!

Checked in, the person behind the desk took a while. No welcome cookie, as advertised. No details given about checkout etc. There is also a £5 charge to leave your baggage at the hotel, or £10 if you leave it overnight. When i callled the day before and asked about storing baggage they never mentioned this! Room was clean but bath was tiny and bed verging on uncomfortable. The room itself was terrible for noise, you could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hotel and directly outside the window. Was woken up by the cleaners bannging the hoover. When checking out there were 3 staff behind the desk, yet only 1 was serving a customer. The other 2 were chatting. When we finally got called over we were only asked what room number we were. Not great customer service!

Perfect spot for a quiet yet enjoyable London experience. Kensington Gardens provides an easy and pleasant walk to tons of restaurants and shopping options. Hop on hop off bus stop is right in front of the hotel and the Tube station is a 5 minute walk. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was lovely to be across from the park and so close to the Tube. Easy walking access to Notting Hill and Kensington made dining a pleasure each day. Great, kind and attentive service in the hotel. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant too.

Convient to underground station for travelling & buses at the doorstep. Room size excellent for London. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had good selection and worth the money. Will definitely stay again.

View from one room was ok, other was the rear of the hotel with building works. Hotel clean and breakfast was good. Issue with checkin and Hotels.com reservation was unconfirmed so when we arrived they couldn’t find the reservation of two rooms for two nights. The afternoon receptionist did recover this by giving 4 breakfasts for the two days which was very much appreciated.

Really impressed with value for money considering location and cleanliness of room etc. Smooth check in and were able to check in early which was great. Only improvement could be was breakfast was very busy meaning the buffet was running out quickly and there weren’t any clean tables when we first turned up but I appreciate we went at peak time! Still a good breakfast and selection for the value.
