The Clift Royal Sonesta San Francisco

Decor was kinda funky and creepy, definitely gave weird vibes, long dim lightening hallways. My son said it gave cult vibes. There’s no valet, no direct parking lot (you have to use an outside parking lot down the street), no assistance with luggage. Room was clean & modernized.

Great hotel and room. Appreciate having real glasses in the room. Seems like a small thing but makes stay more enjoyable. Was upgraded to a high floor mini suite with great view of Nob Hill. Wonderful location.

My favorite sf hotel in union swuare

Great historic hotel in an ideal location for exploring the city or if you're on business. It's a short walk from Union Square. You can also walk to any part of town from there, or hop on a lime scooter/bike so it's super convenient like that. Something to be aware of: it's in the tenderloin district where there's a concentration of homeless people. That said, it never felt unsafe.

Great hotel. Neighborhood itself not so fun unless you are going to the theatre. Service elevator a bit noisy if your room is is in the back corner of the hotel. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast option. Comfortable bed. Clean. Nice bathroom.
