Fina rum med supereffektiv och tyst air-condition, stor och fräsch frukostbuffé, pool, gratis parkering, lånecyklar, låneparaply m.m. Bara 10 min gångavstånd till Lucca centrum som dessutom visade sig vara den stad vi uppskattade mest under vår resa i Toscana pga betydligt mer autentisk atmosfär utan att trängas med turister.

The Hotel San Marco is a modern hotel with every amenity for the traveler, including hotel bicycles and umbrellas! The location is just a few safe, walkable blocks to the historic walled city. A large buffet breakfast selection starts the day, and a glass of wine at the pool area is a welcome rest at the end af the day. Every staff member is cheerful, helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel.

The pool and patio would be a blast in summer and they serve craft beer and delicious wine. The room was comfortable and clean, though not flashy. The staff is super helpful and you can rent bicycles from the property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel San Marco The staff at every level were accommodating and pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well maintained with excellent linens and towels. Absolutely loved our stay here! Reception and staff are fantastic, the hotel is spotlessly clean and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful few days after a manic two weeks in some of Italy's busiest tourist spots. Swimming pool and garden is like staying in a villa with the added benefit of waiter seervice. Can't wait to go back!

We were fortunate to stay in the lower villa which was fabulous. With its own outdoor garden space and furniture we could relax at any time of day or evening. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection of continental foods as well as eggs, sausage and bacon.

Friendly meeting at reception, comfortable room, good air con, breakfast was very good, plenty choice. The pool area is well looked after and the pool although quite small is perfect for a cooling dip. All service was excellent, breakfast staff all friendly and helpful. Short walk to the city walls and some nice restaurants within 15 minutes walk. Carbone was our favourite. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Walls a little thin. A next door room guest was a loud snorer and kept us awake for 2 nights in a row. Guests in room above us were very noisy also. Staff were excellent particularly Alessio! Location very good and pool was good although works on the adjacent property were loud and annoying when lounging around the pool. Breakfast buffet was good without being remarkable. Shower floor in room 207 slightly damaged and needs repairing .

Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Hotel is lovated about 10 minute walk from the wall and about 15 from vity centre. Room was bit outdated but very clean. Only minus i have is the noise, we had a room in the third floor near the elevator and i kept waking up because the noise from the hallway. Earplugs must! Very good breakfast and good overall experience!

...You will never want to leave...This hotel and staff are what you would dream to have and not expect from any visit you have at a hotel. From first arrival we were treated like family and made to feel like we were at a new home we had yet to discover. Fabio was simply incredible as was the rest of the staff. From making sure we had everything we needed to guiding us through our journey in their magical town. The hotel itself was impeccable and one of the most friendly and professionally run operations I have experienced...and i travel a lot. It was my first trip alone with my Daughter after the passing of my mother and we could not have been more blessed to be welcomed the way we were into this wonderful space. We truly escaped here. We loved it so much and will return one day. Unfortunately Expedia took a review from another place with a complete opposite experience and posted it here. I cannot tell you the horror i felt when i learned of this mistake. Even when I talked to them they were very understanding. I am grateful of their patience and their constant example of professionalism

Hotel San Marco was a wonderful place to stay in Lucca. The location is great—just a short walk from the beautiful walled city, making it easy to explore. Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Service. Personal absolut Top, Freundlich hilfsbereit und Service orientiert. Zimmer sauber und funktional. Das Frühstücks Büfett ist sehr gut alles frisch und eine große Auswahl. Da ist für jeden was dabei. Gegenüber vom Hotel befindet sich ein großer kostenloser parkplatzt. Vom Hotel in die Innenstadt sind es zu Fuß ca. 5 bis 6 Minuten. Der Bahnhof von Lucca ist in ca. 15 min zu Fuß zu erreichen. Man kann aber auch mit dem PKW fahren am Bahnhof ist ein Kostenpflichtiger Parkplatzt. 1€ pro Stunde Max. 8€ Wir haben uns hier sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und waren vollsten zufrieden.

Leider war es ab 7 Uhr in der Früh nicht möglich zu schlafen da wir die Zimmer neben dem Frühstücksraum bekamen und es sehr laut war. Was uns extrem störte war es das wir keinen Tisch zum Frühstück bekommen haben weil alles voll war wir mussten wieder ins Zimmer und halbe Stunde später haben wir dann einen Tischen bekommen. In großen und ganzen ist Preis/Leistung ok.

Small and friendly hotel within walking distances of Lucca walls and river. Staff treated us like royalty- nothing was too much. Needed a dip in the refreshing pool after humidity of Lucca. Breakfast was brilliant and even had bacon and scrambled eggs.
