Very unique property with lots to offer. Would never have considered an all-inclusive in Barbados, but this was good! Food had local flair and lots of flavour. Staff were good and we felt comfortable, all except the fact that people could smoke in the courtyard. Would stay again.

The Island Inn has an extemely friendly and attentive staff. It is so quiet and relaxing. The walk to the beach is less than two minutes and the beach is quiet and relaxing. Easy walk to Carlisle Bay as well. The pool is a perfect size to cool off and relax around.

The food was good Christmas dinner was buffet style and the food was good. The beach was right across the street.watched as they bathed the race horses and was able to ride them. George Washington house was within walking distance and very interesting entertainment was so so many mosquitoes in the area being everything is outside. Pool nice but small

Great place for 3 night stay on our 2 week self drive tour round Barbados. We chose the Island Inn for the location near to Bridgetown ( about 1 km and walkable along the Road and beach) and the beaches ( Peebles and Carlyle). Not the most attractive area with limited hotels, dining options nearby but it was tucked away and very private in the grounds. All inclusive so a bonus and the meals were fine, nothing fancy but varied and different choices every night. We had standard courtyard room which was basic but good size, comfortable with great A/C and a fridge. Our room ( number 10) overlooked the outdoor restaurant and the bar but there was no late night noise, the breakfast setting up from 0630 was noticeable though. Bathroom needed lots of TLC, everything needs painting and updating. The bath was cracked so could only use the overhead shower and with caution- the Manager was very helpful and offered us a move but we only had a few nights there so declined. No private parking but free public car park was few minutes walk away by the beach. We had a rental car and had no issues using the car park. Mostly mature British guests so hotel may be too quiet for some.

Really lovely quant little all inclusive hotel , it’s an old 18th century brick building , very friendly , comfy beds , clean , cosy , small pool for a quick cool down . Delicious food . Hidden gem a short walk to pebbles beach with bars and food trucks . Fantastic value for money . It’s like staying with family with lots of repeat customers. We have booked again . You can also do a day pass to the two sister hotels all included .

We first visited this small boutique hotel some 20 years ago it was very good then and continues to be so now. The food and bar service in this all inclusive hotel were very good and the bedrooms comfortable and kept very clean. There are also weekly evening entertainment programmes which were well received by the guests. The older staff were on the whole excellent with a very positive customer focus; however, it must be said that some of the younger waiting staff members should not be in the hospitality industry, this in spite of the high level of training they received. The hotel is situated close to excellent beaches and the capital Bridgetown. All in all access to the whole island is easy from the Island Inn with a myriad of taxis and busses all being close.

Small boutique hotel with good size rooms with small patios. All inclusive which was convenient for us. We only stayed one night so only had dinner and breakfast. The food was okay and portions good. Staff was efficient if not particularly friendly. Only has air conditioning in the rooms not in public areas.

Small quiet hotel with bungalows set out amongst the grounds. We overlooked the pool which was hardly used due to the proximity of the sea a few steps away. Dinner and lunch was a la carte with a buffet breakfast. Bar open from 10am until 11pm. Big surprise to hear and see the monkeys which ran across the roof at 6am’ish. Staff friendly and helpful. Has the ability to be a 4 star with a little attention to maintenance to the hotel. The pool deck needs a deep cleaning, gutters also need to be cleaned out. When it rains you are walking in deep puddles due to poor drainage. Food choices are very limited. Rooms are clean.

The Island Inn was terrific value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble and they gave us a sense that they were genuinely pleased to have us stay: the food was very good and the room was very clean and convenient to the small pool and main areas. I would thoroughly recommend it for a couple seeking a relaxing stay.

As mentioned in many previous reviews the Hotel needs a bit of TLC mainly in the bathrooms. We had a Junior Suite which was a good space as we were only a couple. We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed the holiday even though the rain was daily. Just a small point for the Ladies, the rooms are dark even with lights on so my partner struggled with makeup and daily complained that she could not see enough. At times we experienced heavy rain and the courtyard drains/ gutters could not cope so basically flooded out in some areas but as mentioned it was heavy rain. Food was excellent, as was the service in the restraint and bar. Initially, on arrival we were not sure we had made the right choice but the Hotel grows on you and very soon it’s all smiles and positive thoughts. No beach but it’s a 2 min walk to Pebble Beach and a 10 min walk to Carlisle Bay. Sister hotels Mango Bay and The Sands are worth a visit (mango Bay we thought a better hotel). Would stay again but only in Junior Suite as other guests mentioned the Garden View rooms were small and their really isn’t much to see in the garden

This is a very charming place. The rooms are very nice and clean with a little patio to sit outside. The staff here is incredible, welcoming and friendly. You will be right across the street from an amazing public beach (Raddison) and every morning at 6am you can watch the horses enjoy water therapy after their workout at the horse track. Very beautiful to watch. I highly recommend this place! Lisa

The evening dinner was good. Arrived at the Inn at 11:00 am & not allowed to have lunch. We left the following day at noon so did not get lunch. The tea had very limited food. The room was old & needed up date.

This hotel is very charming. Read a lot of reviews and some were very negative so was hesitant but there weren't a lot of options because of high season. It is all inclusive which is nice. The food was decent (we just came off a 6 start cruise with fine dining for comparison). Felt like good home cooking. Some items better than others. Some of the people were very happy and some not friendly--hit or miss--but no one was ugly. We were in the junior suite by the pool. The lighting is horrible in the bathroom, so I just didn't wear make up and no plug to do hair in bathroom. I couldn't get the blow dryer in our room to work, so I air dried. The climate is so conducive to it, honestly, felt like a break from the make up/hair routine--a true vacation. The junior suite was large but a bit dated, but the overall vibe of the place is nice. The outdoor dining is the best and because of the courtyard set up, it is a very social place. The location is great with a white sand within a 5 minute walk. It is between the Hilton & Radison. I was happy I stayed here and not one of the larger brands. They arranged our taxi to the airport and it was very nice and reasonably priced.

Elsie was so nice to us and very helpful. The room was adequate for our short stay but the air conditioner cycled a gurgling noise every 20mins so we didn’t sleep much as we had to use it .. overall great place with all inclusive.. meals where nice and the bar drinks where great. We would stay again but not with a noisy a/c unit lol

Small boutique hotel with good size rooms with small patios. All inclusive which was convenient for us. We only stayed one night so only had dinner and breakfast. The food was okay and portions good. Staff was efficient if not particularly friendly. Only has air conditioning in the rooms not in public areas.

The Island Inn was terrific value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble and they gave us a sense that they were genuinely pleased to have us stay: the food was very good and the room was very clean and convenient to the small pool and main areas. I would thoroughly recommend it for a couple seeking a relaxing stay.

This is a hotel that people keep going back to, and I can fully appreciate why that is. The building in beautiful and the gardens in the courtyards are well kept and lovely. It is the staff that really makes the place special— they are friendly, helpful, and do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one. The all inclusive element is a bonus— with good food and generous drink options.

The pros: The price is reasonable for the area, large rooms and a cute small pool and quiet courtyard. A Short easy Walk to the beach. The cons: With the exception of the bartenders and a security guard, the front desk and dining staff were downright RUDE. From check-in to meals not at all a friendly or helpful group. I'm a New Yorkers and I was shocked. I absolutely believe this made our experience at the hotel alot less pleasant. This could be a nice little place if they had a friendly staff and did some minimal maintence in the rooms they are showing there use. Food choices are slim pickings and rather plain. Travelled in a small group middle age couples. We will Not be back cute courtyard

Overall, this was a lovely and relaxing stay. The room was a little out dated, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. There was entertainment a few nights and rum tastings! The beach isn’t too far away and it’s beautiful! Torah, Tre and both Sharon’s were AMAZING!! Unfortunately, 2 of the staff members were extremely rude to us and that ruined the vibes. Especially the final day at dinner, where Ann brought over 2 ice cream’s for us however, we only ordered 1. When I mentioned that, she roughly placed both ice creams down and walked off. Ann and Elise were extremely unpleasant to us, but were kind and attentive to other guests. It was very disappointing and the main reason for my overall 4 star review.

We first visited this small boutique hotel some 20 years ago it was very good then and continues to be so now. The food and bar service in this all inclusive hotel were very good and the bedrooms comfortable and kept very clean. There are also weekly evening entertainment programmes which were well received by the guests. The older staff were on the whole excellent with a very positive customer focus; however, it must be said that some of the younger waiting staff members should not be in the hospitality industry, this in spite of the high level of training they received. The hotel is situated close to excellent beaches and the capital Bridgetown. All in all access to the whole island is easy from the Island Inn with a myriad of taxis and busses all being close.

Elsie was so nice to us and very helpful. The room was adequate for our short stay but the air conditioner cycled a gurgling noise every 20mins so we didn’t sleep much as we had to use it .. overall great place with all inclusive.. meals where nice and the bar drinks where great. This is a very charming place. The rooms are very nice and clean with a little patio to sit outside. The staff here is incredible, welcoming and friendly. You will be right across the street from an amazing public beach (Raddison) and every morning at 6am you can watch the horses enjoy water therapy after their workout at the horse track. Very beautiful to watch. I highly recommend this place! Lisa

Very good value for an all inclusive inn. Definitely not a resort but pleasant and quiet. Half block walk to beach where it is a treat to watch thoroughbred horses take their morning swim. Not in a good walking area of Bridgetown.

Fantastic. The staff make this hotel. Everyone is so happy and helpful. It’s well positioned with Bridgetown 20 mins walk one way, Hastings 20 minutes the other and the beach about 100 yards away.

Great place for 3 night stay on our 2 week self drive tour round Barbados. We chose the Island Inn for the location near to Bridgetown ( about 1 km and walkable along the Road and beach) and the beaches ( Peebles and Carlyle). Not the most attractive area with limited hotels, dining options nearby but it was tucked away and very private in the grounds. All inclusive so a bonus and the meals were fine, nothing fancy but varied and different choices every night. We had standard courtyard room which was basic but good size, comfortable with great A/C and a fridge. Our room ( number 10) overlooked the outdoor restaurant and the bar but there was no late night noise, the breakfast setting up from 0630 was noticeable though. Bathroom needed lots of TLC, everything needs painting and updating. The bath was cracked so could only use the overhead shower and with caution- the Manager was very helpful and offered us a move but we only had a few nights there so declined. No private parking but free public car park was few minutes walk away by the beach. We had a rental car and had no issues using the car park. Mostly mature British guests so hotel may be too quiet for some.

Nice little all inclusive . Great access to Carlisle Bay beach, and downtown is just on the other side of the Bay. Though not the nicest area after hours if you wanna stray away from the beach itself . Hotel is modest and quiet but well run, food was good and staff very professional. Mostly family and retired crowd. Green monkeys will come greet you in the mornings! Probably a much better value for money than the hotel chains next door.

Originally a rum storage way back in the early 1800's, Island Inn is full of character. The conversion to a hotel has been done well, maintaining the character of the original building, and the rooms are large and well appointed. The all inclusive nature of our booking meant we didn't have to worry about paying for food and drinks which were generous and very good. Dinner plates have been beautifully presented and the choice good - however, we would have liked to experience a little more Bajan food. The beach is close by and we walked to sights of historic interest and museums without difficulty. Savvy Bar on the Beach was fun too with food trucks and great pina colada on call.

This hotel is very charming. Read a lot of reviews and some were very negative so was hesitant but there weren't a lot of options because of high season. It is all inclusive which is nice. The food was decent (we just came off a 6 start cruise with fine dining for comparison). Felt like good home cooking. Some items better than others. Some of the people were very happy and some not friendly--hit or miss--but no one was ugly. We were in the junior suite by the pool. The lighting is horrible in the bathroom, so I just didn't wear make up and no plug to do hair in bathroom. I couldn't get the blow dryer in our room to work, so I air dried. The climate is so conducive to it, honestly, felt like a break from the make up/hair routine--a true vacation. The junior suite was large but a bit dated, but the overall vibe of the place is nice. The outdoor dining is the best and because of the courtyard set up, it is a very social place. The location is great with a white sand within a 5 minute walk. It is between the Hilton & Radison. I was happy I stayed here and not one of the larger brands. They arranged our taxi to the airport and it was very nice and reasonably priced.

The drinks were so good that I never made it for breakfast. Lol! The lunch and dinner were good though. This resort is for more of an older crowd, and everyone there besides me was retired. I enjoyed my stay there, the staff is friendly and helpful, the bartender Trey is hilarious and entertaining, and the manager is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

The only staff member that was friendly and welcoming was Crystal, the evening bar tender. I was by the pool and there were 3 guys in our room repairing something along with a cleaning lady for almost an hour. When they left, I could not figure out what they did because it was not evident at all and the room wasn't cleaned by the maid who was in the room. I straightened it up. Hours later, about 4:30 as we were resting for dinner, a maid shows up to clean the room. I told her not to bother as it was too late now. She gave me the dirtiest look. If you kindly ask to sit in the shade for a meal instead of the sun where they want to put you, they roll their eyes at you and their body language shows they don't appreciate having to move a place setting from one table to another. I had to wait for the desk lady to check out as she was eating in an air-conditioned room in the back. It was evident she was mad at being interrupted to check us out. I guess they didn't have anyone else who could do it. Wow!??

Hours later, about 4:30 as we were resting for dinner, a maid shows up to clean the room. I told her not to bother as it was too late now. She gave me the dirtiest look. If you kindly ask to sit in the shade for a meal instead of the sun where they want to put you, they roll their eyes at you and their body language shows they don't appreciate having to move a place setting from one table to another. I had to wait for the desk lady to check out as she was eating in an air-conditioned room in the back. It was evident she was mad at being interrupted to check us out. I guess they didn't have anyone else who could do it. Wow!??
