Staying 3 nights at Grand Hotel Majestic, Verbania (Superior Double Room, Lake View). Hotels.com states free parking, but reception tried to charge us until we showed the app. Dressing gowns are listed, yet none were provided until we insisted. We also found extensive dark staining/spotting around the ventilation grille, raising concern about possible mold/mildew. The room also differs from the listing photo. Only after we made a complain through Hotels.com they proposed to change the room in the last day, which didn’t make sense for the last day. They proposed to make a free dinner for us, but we booked much better place. If they really wanted to fix that they could reduce our bill for the past dinners at check out time.

We stayed in the apartment which was amazing and only 2 years old. The main hotel was a 3 min walk. If your looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay this is it. The food at the hotel was great. A little gorgeous town was a 5 min walk away. We stayed on the little beach at the hotel and swam in the lake the entire time. Only issue I had was out of a 4 day stay the apartment was cleaned once. By cleaned I mean they swapped towels and did nothing else. The staff in the main hotel was extremely helpful and nice. If you’re looking for shopping I didn’t find anything. If your looking for beautiful views this is the place to stay!

Great location and amazing gardens to relax in. The bar has an amazing selection and great views over Lago Maggiore, the restaurant serves high dining also with view of garden and lake. The breakfast room next to a good selection again overlooks the view. Walking distance to the town centre and to the amazing Restaurant Milano. The rooms are quite and comfortable.
