What I didn’t like, they now charge 12.00 dollars a day to park. Parking at the Norwood is limited to there parking only, there is no other options. I resent paying a parking fee when the hotel room rate is high enough

The Norwood is one of my go-to hotels in Winnipeg. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly and the restaurants are very good. I feel, however, that parking costs should be covered as a guest of the hotel.

Hotel overall is pretty good. The new renovations to the Wood Tavern and the other lounge are great. The room is comfortable and clean. The area around the hotel is ok, not much you can do about that. The concern I had was that I would have been charged $12 per day (with taxes) for parking. I asked the check in staff "what do I get for $12 a day?"...because it\'s not coverd parking it\'s not indoor it\'s not heated ,there are a limited number of plug ins for car heaters, and most concerning the security is only there till 2am. So I didn\'t park in the lot...I parked on a street and walked for less than 1 min. It\'s disappointing when I spend $169 a night and parking is not free....AND security is not there after 2am...thats when security is needed most. I hope this feedback is valuable.

With the beer vendor across the street, many shady people hanging out in the parking lot. Had to pay to park, when booking I chose parking which I expected to mean free parking.

We got charged for an unpublished parking fee. Told they were still working on adding it to Expedia site. Both beds were also terrible, low water pressure in the shower and toilet hardly flushed. Other than that pretty average. Stayed there in the past and it was a much nicer hotel.

There is a lounge, dining room, and breakfast restaurant attached to hotel. There are also 2-3 restaurants within a 2-5 min walk. The staff was friendly, and check in /check out was fast. It is an older hotel that has been nicely remodeled and the rooms were clean and nice , large walk in shower . Taxi cab right outside hotel, which was very convenient. The only downside for me was there is no gym facilities , hot tub, or outdoor areas ( balcony) to lounge and the hotel is on a very busy street

The pullout bed was disgustingly dirty. When asked the front desk for a garbage bag….. they said they didn’t have one. They were not helpful at all.

I noticed the smell of cigarette smoke early am accompanied by an hour of heavy coughing. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke when I was leaving my room. Not a good smell in a confined space! I did enquire at the front desk and was told they are only no smoking rooms. Obviously not a rule respected by all quests.

Good location but there was an incredibly bad smell outside in the area that evening. Rotten. The front desk clerk did not know what was going on. Front desk guy was unprofessional and did not occur as interested in my checking in. Lobby was not clean. Same with the areas around the elevators. My room was clean. Definitely nothing wrong with the room. The rest of the hotel seemed to be unkept.

The hotel was very clean!! Even the corners of the shower were absolutely spotless. It was a great location with tons of great little restaurants all around. There was a few loud guests at 2:00-5:00 which was disturbing because we had to get up before 6:00 to head to a marathon. But that was not the hotels fault. I would recommend to stay here again!!

Large room with couch and chair. Comfortable bed and a nice walk in shower. Great service and lots of options for food in the neighborhood. Was woken up by people arguing and shouting in the hallway one night. A microwave would be nice in the room.

Our bathroom sink held water when it was run and didn’t drain properly. Our tv was not watchable because it flickered so had to mute or turn off. Beds were fine. Cleanliness was fine but needs some fine tuning. Rm 301

Stayed here a couple of nights while having a procedure done at St, Boniface hospital. Great location to the hospital. I felt comfortable in this area during the day but not in the evening. Hotel has some upgrades (bathroom was nicely upgraded) but floor of the room had old carpet and was very “lumpy”. Staff were great. Restaurant had a very tasty breakfast. I would stay again if I had to be at St. Boniface hospital because of convenience. If just staying in Winnipeg for a vacation I would not likely stay here.

I gave such a low ratings, because a few things happened during our stay…when we checked in, the staff was not friendly, it was late, we were very tired from traveling all day, and we had a truck with a trailer. The hotel states that they offer RV parking, our truck and trailer are the size of an RV. They were hosting an event and the parking lot was full, so they said they were going to help us Find a place to park. We had to ask twice for the help that never came and the person they finally sent was unable to help much. They also charged us $25 to park our truck with the trailer, and also charged our son $12 to park his car. The room was fine, tired, but bathroom and bed was clean. In the morning, we left very early and needed the trolley to bring our belongings and pack the car. We asked for assistance and the staff could not find the trolley, and nobody offered to help with anything. They just kept watching us as we did all the work. Nobody went above and beyond, that location is very tired and the staff is not friendly. We only stayed there and paid more than the average hotel in the category, because of the location, but I would not recommend it to anybody.

There was a massive fight on the second floor and no one in the hotel would do anything. They would not phone the police as the front desk said they wouldn’t come anyway. so good luck having a good sleep when there’s nothing but fights going on in the middle of the night and no protection for guests. Bad neighbourhood and bad hotel. I couldn’t say anything positive about the experience. They didn’t clean our room. They said they would give us two nights back but because we booked though Expedia they couldn't do anything. Can you?

Very clean, modern property. Close to St. Boniface Hospital. No information about hotel services in the room. I called the front desk 5 times to get the wifi password (free wifi was listed in description), and no one answered. This would be concerning if it was an emergency.

I liked close for early arrival to hospital surgery. I liked staff friendliness and cleanliness and comfort. The tv didn’t work and because staff couldn’t fix it we were offered a new room. We decided to keep our room and they gave a discount. I think if was not so busy a time with fire season this be 5 stars. Will come again. Thankyou

Very clean hotel located directly across from tge St. Boniface hospital. Staff were very friendly. Our first room air conditioning did not work so after contacting the front desk they quickly sent someone to check. As it wasn’t able to be fixed they upgraded us to a different room which was more updated than our first. The furniture in both rooms could be updated as it was old but the rooms were very clean. Bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. Location was perfect for us.

overall was not horrible , but was not good. Check in was ok, not overly friendly. It would have been nice to know there was a wedding going on and that the restaurant was booked so we couldn't have supper. The floor of our room was lumpy and furniture is out dated. The bathroom was nice. check out was very un personable , probably would not stay there again for that price

Check in was miserable. Computers were apparently down. But they made me wait 40 mins to get into my room. They could have given me the keys. Room was already paid for. They just sat there and didn't even apologize for the wait. Otherwise room was nice. Also was overcharged at their Wood Tavern restaurant. Very unfortunate as the bartender there was quite good

The hotel was a 6 min walk to St Boniface Hospital which was very convenient for me. It is an older hotel with somewhat recent Reno’s. Staff were friendly and the restaurant and lounge had really good food and service. The neighborhood is a bit rough for my liking but it is what it is.

The hotel is in a good convenient downtown location but this unfortunately makes traffic noisy and the area a little dirty. The price seemed higher than similar hotels as well. On the other hand the restaurants were excellent, both the breakfast restaurant and the night restaurant.

This is a built up area. Conveniently located to where I needed to be, but it is a city area and not much greenery. Although it is close to the trails system along the river. I would stay here again

A very modern and well kept property. Traffic is heavy in the area but that is to be expected given the location. Close to the Forks and downtown while other areas of Winnipeg are accessible. Staff were very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this property. A hospital a McDonald's and a Timmy's are across the street. What more can you ask for. Very quiet for a property with a tavern.

Stayed here while husband at St Boniface hospital. Was conveniently close for going Back and forth to the hospital. Restaurant onsite has excellent food and exceptional service. Highly recommend

The stay was great, it's clearly been renovated. The bathroom is well designed and modern. I would have liked for my parking to be included in the price (not obvious on booking site) and not find out about the fee when I got there. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Best part is the Pauline restaurant that's attached.

I love the two dining options available in the hotel - Pauline's and The Wood Tavern. great food in both places. there are other excellent dining options available close to hotel. Winnipeg transit stops are nearby for those needing to use the bus.
