Nice area. Great little dining spots and bars within walking distance. Hotel is doing some renovations. Woke to a very large crane being set up outside our room window which was used to drop off building materials on the roof/floor right above us causing thundering noises shaking the room and rattling the ceiling lights. Not sure why they would put any guests in that room given how early in the morning they started delivering materials.

Historically this has been a great property with excellent service, high-end. Now it is run down and in need of renovation and repair. It is overpriced - and now both of the restaurants are insanely expensive. On arrival we didn’t have a working sink. We had to leave the room for that to be repaired. Loud DJs kept us up late into the night with walls shaking and bass at ridiculous levels. When we requested late checkout we were given til noon and at least 4 people from housekeeping entered our room from 10 am until 12 pm. When we attempted to valet we were told it was full - mind you the restaurants were full and those patrons had used up valet spaces, limiting options for guests of the hotel. When we initially arrived at the hotel we weren’t even greeted by a valet and I had to get my own luggage cart and unload myself and my small child. This is not like the CH I once knew. We will no longer be making the CH part of our Christmas experience.

I appreciate the history of the hotel. The staff were all wonderful. Decor in room was a little outdated but clean. Small TV. Service was a little slow at One Eleven but everything that we had was amazing! My favorite was the mushroom tortellini. However, the other restaurant, Capital hotel bar and grille, at the hotel was dark and overpriced the food was good but not great. Overall it was and older crowd but convenient, beautiful entrance/lobby, great staff, and food was good.

Lovely restored hotel with gorgeous lobby, 2 great restaurants and impeccable service. Truly a fabulous place to stay in the middle of everything. Angela at the front desk even allowed me to visit the possibly haunted room 438. Such a lovely place that is my go to in Little Rock. TV technology a little inconsistent and frequently went on the fritz. The tv app options were LIMITED nee Spotify, prime or youtubetv but if you are seeing the sights you won't care.

It is very expensive to stay, eat and drink at the Capital. I don't feel very safe walking from the hotel down to the Riverfront Area. But I love the facilities and staff. And the entire hotel and facilities are very clean.

This is a 5 star hotel. The hotel has stains all thru the halls on the carpets that need cleaning, the fingerprints on the glass and brass and the elevator was not clean! My room didn’t have waters the way they have offered in the past for guests! My TV wouldn’t work without connecting each time and to the box and selecting the right input , I was so disappointed because we have always loved staying at the capitol Hotel!

The staff at the Capital Hotel was excellent. From the valet who met us at the curb to take our car (parking was free), to the front desk and the concierge. All were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the historic architecture and beautiful lobby. Our room was very quiet and we were able to sleep well. My only complaint was there seemed to be something off about the plumbing for the hot water. It fluctuated during showers for no apparent reason. Even with the plumbing issue, I would stay again in this gorgeous hotel!

This hotel was majestic and beautiful from the time we walked into the magnificent lobby, boarded the elegant room sized elevator, and entered our grand and spacious room. The bathroom was roomy and well equipped and there was a great closet as well as a separate space to open and place suitcases. I ate a late night snack at the restaurant and was greeted warmly by the staff there. The food was delicious. Water pressure was nice in the shower and the bed was comfortable. The only downside was that there was occasional noise from motorcycles or trucks in the street below. It was a Saturday night. The a.m. staff was very accommodating by offering tea in the lobby while we awaited our ride. All of the personnel were exceedingly friendly and went above and beyond the norm. I would highly recommend this hotel.

So checked in, my room was ready….but it was not. Then I waited 20 minutes, told me it was ready, still not. 25 minutes later was told it was ready again, but we waited outside the room on the staff to finish, about 15 minutes. Anyway, there’s no coffee pot in the room, or a fridge. While beautiful, this hotel is dated. Valet is excellent. Downstairs bar & grill is overpriced and the food is mediocre. The fancy bar and restaurant across the lobby is still pretty good. Right in the center of downtown near the river market and Arkansas river.

Beautiful room!!! However, the lack of a coffee maker in the room and no mini-fridge seemed silly. Coffee was available in the lobby from 5 AM to 9AM..maybe great for people staying on business…not necessarily those of us on a leisure vacation. Also, I don’t mind paying for parking, but I could see my car and yet was required to use a valet. I would have preferred to pay the same amount but have free access to my vehicle, Loved Little Rock…so much to do!!!

The hotel itself is in good condition and the room was very nice. Just what I expected from the Capital. The staff at the hotel was good. However, the bartender was an absolute joke. I ate at the bar bc I wanted to eat and go to bed as I was tired. But, the bartender was paying no attention, I asked for a napkin 3 times and still have not seen it. If I knew his name I would give him a negative number. I had to ask for a menu, had to remind him of my drink order. Gumbo was lukewarm. He gave me the bill for the couple next to me. I made him give me my bill. Paid it still without a napkin. In the morning, the restaurant was not open but they finally opened it about 20 minutes late and there was no one in it. Sausage was raw and eggs were not hot. Food and restaurant service was horrible at best. I could run it better and I definitely do not know how to run a restaurant, but my son is a trained chef and hotelier with a degree from an Ivy League school. He is out of that business due to COVID and working for a gaming company now so I have seen it from both sides. Just bad!

Have stayed at the capital in the past, and was sadly disappointed this time around. Our check in took 30 minutes, the 2 employees trying to assist us said they could not find the reservation, moved us to a smaller room than we had prepaid for, and were very unapologetic and borderline rude. Room itself not up to previous standards, noted bed linens and towels were frayed. No room service offered and not even a coffee maker in the room. Will unfortunately not be staying again.

Exterior and common spaces were very well done. Fantastic Christmas decorations. Room was a big let down. Sparse, no amenities, not even a coffee maker. Bed was ok, nothing special. Carpet and curtains seemed worn and out of date. Overall vibe was that this hotel has seen better days. My biggest issue was the service. My daughter and I were not allowed into the breakfast service because they were “full.” There wasn’t even an attempt to apologize or make it up to us. The valet team seemed harried and were curt, almost rude. Reception was not particularly friendly. All in all, pretty disappointing considering the reputation of this hotel. Next time in LR we’ll definitely choose another property in the area.

The valet, check in, room, hotel everything was perfect, staff with those responsibilities was excellent. The Capital Bar staff was rude and unpleasant, not just once, not just one person, several from hostess to waitress to even clean up. We went at 3:00, had bad experience, then went back at 8;30 and encountered same attitude. Obvious culture of Capital Bar is not up to Capital Hotel expectations.

This our go to hotel in Little Rock. Elegant charm with a historic feel. Drinks in the bar were delicious. Room was large with beautiful furnishings. The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
