The Red Lion Hotel

It’s a very comfortable and convenient hotel. I needed such place in order to pick up passengers from T5 Heathrow. The room was very warm and clean. Adjusting the heating was easy. I didn’t try the restaurant but the bar was very pleasant and I enjoyed the Fullers real ale as I wiled the evening engrossed in a book,

A lovely historic hotel in an excellent location. We were given the ‘Charles I bedroom’, with a lovely four poster bed. Apparently he stopped at the Red Lion for a drink during the Civil War. Live music in the beer garden at the front on Friday evening. Good food and pleasant staff.

Well lit car park with good size spaces. Warm welcome by friendly staff. Clean room with comfortable bed. Room temperature perfect. Everything we needed for our stay. Particularly liked the coffee, paired chocolate, biscuits and chilled milk and water. Appreciated the large bottles of toiletries rather than the usual travel sized sachets. Bar and Restaurant great. Conveniently located for picking family up from Heathrow. Good value for money. Our second visit and we will return.

Stayed with the family for a visit to see a family member. Staff is lovely, pub is fun and location is in easy walking distance of the train station and shopping. Will definitely be back!

Quiet room despite proximity to busy road. Nice touches like artisan coffee bags, biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. Good meals in the pub/ restaurant. Only downside was my van was broken into in the car park despite cctv.

This is a really lovely hotel. Breakfast was really good too. It would be a great place to stay if you were flying from Heathrow, car park is a little small, but we were lucky. We would definitely stay again.

Surprisingly quiet given its on a main road. Restaurant is excellent

Staff friendly. Food lovely breakfast service was poor only 1 staff member forgot our tea we had to ask again. Given room key to find room not cleaned so was given another room

Hotel was OK overall - room was a little tired but nothing terrible. Cleanliness was, again, OK but not immaculate. What really let this place down was the service at breakfast, advertised as being served 8am-10am. We had opted and paid in advance for the continental breakfast. Arriving at 9.38am, there was barely any food - no pastries, bread, fresh fruit etc., just empty platters; there was cereal but no milk, and there were jugs of orange juice but no glasses. I asked a waitress at the buffet if any food was being replenished and was told she would go and check - nothing materialised. My teenager asked if there were any glasses and was simply told "they're in the dishwasher" whilst walking away. A waitress came to our table (where I had coffee and the children had dry cereal), and asked if we wanted to order off the hot menu (at additional cost). I said no just continental, but there is no food, will there be any? I was flippantly told 'breakfast is till 10am and it's 10am now, but I'll go and check' (15 minutes after the first one supposedly went to check), again, said whilst walking away. At this point, it was 9.55am and we'd been there since 9.38am. Guess what - she never came back either, and no food ever materialised. I intended to inform reception at checkout but there was nobody there. On the plus side, the receptionist at check-in was lovely and very welcoming. Maybe she could train the breakfast staff on how to treat customers.

Had an enjoyable stay at the Red Lion, although my old knees struggled on the stairs to our room, and I did bump my head a couple of times on the low doorway

This is one of the best pub-hotels I've stayed in - modern, clean, great food and very good service. The only slight negative was that the walls seemed a little thin - I could hear next door on their phone much clearer than I normally would be able to.

A great stay and breakfast, just a slight downer in that told after check in the air con was out of action due to a lightening strike! Room was pretty warm! Although window did open and I still managed to sleep alright.

The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy!

Service fantastic, room nicely decorated and very clean. Only issue for us was we were 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers in a family room. Room very small for 4. Sofa bed was too small for teenages definitely more suited for younger children, because of this sleep was not great. Would suggest re advertised as a 3 person room or for 2 kids no order than 10.

Really comfy beds, spacious rooms, good air conditioning and excellent breakfast

Wonderfully helpful staff. Air conditioning was a saviour on a very hot night. The deluxe room is very special with four poster bed. Like stepping back in time. Thank you!

Very convenient for Heathrow. Staff friendly and efficient. Food and choice good. Bedrooms beginning to look tired.

Nice clean well appointed room. Chocolates and decent coffee. But room was gloomy and cold on entry. Took a while to warm up. If you have bedside lights they need to be bright enough to read by.

Amira was great checking in and Harry went above and beyond checking out. This was wonderful service in an ultra clean hotel. Lovely dinner and great breakfast. A 10/10 from me; I’ll be staying there next year as well as when I return

Dinner and breakfast at the red lion was very good. Staff very accommodating and arranged a late check put for us. Would definitely stay again if in the area or travelling from heathrow.

Sat 30th Nov the MANAGER would not serve us a drink after arriving back late from a show, we were told the bar had closed, we noticed a full table of full drinks were near us and stated this, and were very rudely told NO with no manners or people skills at all, we even offered to take this drink to our room as we were residents, this did not change the so called MANAGER mind at all, we took this as a racist reason. We spend nearly £400 on a 2 night stay, i find this behavior shocking and disappointing!!!

The Hotel was lovely. The breakfast was an absolute joke, its not self service so you have to wait for everything. The breakfast for four, we ordered and was written down by a boy, this was brought to us wrong twice and had to be changed twice, so by the time it came back again our guests had eaten theirs, so watched us eat ours, which with all the back and forth was cold. We had to wait for tea and coffee, then we had to wait again for the milk, we had to wait for the toast, which came without butter, so we then had to wait yet again for butter. It was a boiling hot day and the juices were literally warm, we asked for ice, but the bar was closed so the could not get any, ridiculous and very bad as all the cold drinks should be in a chiller. The boy waiter was not good at taking our orders or brining it to our table correctly as they wrote it themselves seems crazy, it was very quiet only two other people at breakfast and they were finished, so they were not over run. It was just very very bad service and the food was cold with all the changes made to correct their mistakes, we paid for this and it was un edible. Such a shame at a nice hotel. This needs addressing urgently.

Both members of staff on reception (evening and morning shift) were very welcoming and hospitable. Went above and beyond to help us with extending our check out time in order that we could attend a funeral locally without having to worry. Lovely touch being given a voucher for a free drink from the bar on arrival. Pleasant stay in difficult circumstances.

Lovely quaint piece of West London. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly.

Unfortunately it was an unplanned stay as my mother had an accident on the way to our holiday destination. I booked in here as an emergency measure as it is near the hospital. The staff were excellent, understanding and friendly (especially when I had to book an additional night at short notice, I was able to stay in the same room). The rooms are great with more free extras than a lot of hotels, plus I got a complementary drink at the bar with a voucher upon arrival and residents get 10% off of food and drink at the bar. If you don’t fancy that, there’s nearby shops and takeaways.

Ideal location for Uxbridge town and travel links to central London

Great stay here. Room was perfect. Very clean. And I was there during a heat wave and thankfully they had A/C and this made the stay perfect. Close to bus line and tube. The food and drink was also great at the bar and the included breakfast looked amazing although I only had time for their buffet continental which was more than sufficient with croissants and fruit and yoghurt teas and coffee and juices. I will certainly use again when back this way. Thank you.

Really enjoyed my stay. Very accommodating staff, friendly and professional. Lovely room and short walk to the station was perfect.

The Red Lion inn was lovely. Wonderful history behind it. Food was great, pub was great. My room was very comfortable. Bed linens were lovely room was nice and clean. Bus line right in front. Uxbridge town center and Brunelle University were right down the road.

Although the hotel is situated on a busy road, we had no noise problems. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. We didn't eat in, so I can't comment on the restaurant. The pub has a friendly atmosphere. There are several bus routes available to cover different travellers needs. For a visit to the centre of London this hotel is quite a distance away, but therefore also a better price.

It was a good price for our stay with cleanliness at the best we have seen for a hotel with excellent complimentary items too. The restaurant menu would benefit with a little more choice but cant fault the hotel would definitely stay again.

Room was lovely and cosy, nice extras in the room too such as Nespresso. Voucher for drink at the bar was a nice surprise too. Breakfast was really nice and everything was good quality which made it all the better. Staff have been very friendly and polite too.

Nice property near to where I needed to be. Only downside was the kitchen was closed so no evening meal option or breakfast, which having booked via Expedia was only communicated after booking, and no chance to cancel then, as booked 2 days in advance. Host recommended a place up the road for dinner which was fine.

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel, not a style of hotel we usually go for, but certainly will do again. Felt cosy and was well equipped with iron etc. Lovely tea tray with fresh milk in the fridge. The welcome drink was also a lovely gesture and breakfast was superb both in terms of choice and taste. The whole experience surpass the price paid and we would use this hotel again and try others by Fullers.
