I booked this room at this price for two reasons: 1) free breakfast and 2) it stated it had a hot tub or spa. Breakfast was great, they even had an espresso type coffee maker in the lobby 😊. The room was clean and comfortable as well as the hallways and other public areas. But ….. the hot tub was another story all together. The jets did not work and the water was not clean. We notified an employee and she sent a maintenance person to check it out. When he got there he said unfortunately the jets were not working before even checking it out. Mind you I called ahead and asked if the hot tub was working and was told yes indeed it was working. He proceeded to clean the floaters from the water and check the temperature. After he left I went to check it out. It was hot, but the water was still not as clean as I would expect it to be. He cleaned out the floating bugs and leaves with a net but there were still smaller particles floating in the water that a net maybe would not capture. So that makes me think that not only were the jets not working but the filtering system was not working either. Needless to say we did not get to enjoy the hot tub. We could have stayed elsewhere for a less expensive price and not had the use of a hot tub so …..

The location is excellent — with easy access to the freeway and just a short drive to Napa Valley, it made exploring the area effortless. For the second year in a row I have stayed here on Christmas Eve to visit family for the holidays in Benicia. The staff is always so friendly, and the entire hotel is immaculate. Plenty of parking and literally a 2 minute drive to Main Street. Definitely recommend it when you're looking for a clean, friendly, convenient place to stay in Benicia.

I had to request towels daily And they had carpet beetles Packing up breakfast before it’s time and being rude to the kids The kitchenette is very small it’s just like a hot plate but it got the job done. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful

When we entered our room a strong musty, damp smell was present. We opened the windows, but being that we were on the first floor, we couldn’t leave them open. Three hours into our stay, our air conditioning unit shorted out and wouldn’t restart. We let the front desk know and they said they were going to call a maintenance technician to come and look at the air conditioner. Maintenance never arrived, and we asked to switch to a different room. The front desk attendant agreed to allowing us to switch rooms, but only after we insisted. The hotel is aging and needs a good upgrade and deep cleaning, but the breakfast area was very nice and the grounds were well maintained.

The staff was very friendly, the room was beautiful. The issue was how loud it was. The walls must have been very thin and the place turned into a full blown party hotel on Saturday night and there were other guests who were incredibly loud in the rooms around us and outside in the halls. For this reason we will likely not stay there next time we go to town.

Keys wouldn’t work most of the time, a/c did not cool the room down at all. Room was uncomfortable and not for us. We won’t be staying here again. The staff was excellent but the maintenance is poor.

Service is great grounds were perfect. The only major complaint was our room 207 was directly next-door to the dining hall and it was incredibly loud, like they were doing construction at six in the morning. We had a horrible time, trying to enjoy our mornings due to all the noise

Check in was fast and friendly. The room was immaculate. The room was quite even though a thoroughfare was close by. Excellent continental breakfast, even had biscuits and sausage gravy and a four-choice juice dispenser.

Our Flt cancelled and they wouldn't refund our money for the one night we had booked. I know they have a 24 hr cancellation policy but they should be flexible and more understanding when things happen.

I didn't get his name, but a young man working on floor two outside noticed I wasn't finding my way and asked me if I needed assistance. I agreed, and he literally took control and helped me find my room work out whether it was going to work for me worked with the staff and the main desk to get me set up the room. Then we got all my bags out of my car and into the room. Made sure I was comfortable. He was very nice and helpful and professional. This was my first time traveling along with my Parkinson's disease. Was later that evening when I left my keys in the room, and he quickly politely helped me get in. I appreciate his help too. He was very kind and helpful.

Property itself is fine, and rooms are clean and acceptable for the price. Front desk service at this location could use some work. We have had the same attendant twice (two different stays) and both times this person has been rude to me and to other guests. There was no precipitating event that lead to this behavior, we merely rolled up on this person in what I assume is their natural state of annoyance with the public at large. Unacceptable.

Is what i expected from best western: room is standard. Food (breakfast) is highly processed and below average, cleaning and front desk staff excellent. The location of this particular hotel is not great. Next to a freeway, about 10-15 minute walk to downtown. The reason we stayed here is because we needed 2 queen beds in a room. Otherwise, we could have stayed downtown for same price. The inns in downtown are a bit more rustic, but the breakfast quality will be much better and you can walk outside your door to other shops and amenities.
