Clean, pleasant service, elevator not working was a hassle but property warned ahead of time, great breakfast. Suggestion to make parking exit as entry point - current entry to parking very tricky- easy to miss and end up on freeway

Roof top was awesome, place was clean, staff were great but the elevator took forever and I almost missed Uber as a result of having too much luggage to be able to carry down over the stairs.

Very convenient and ample handicapped parking spaces. Quick check-in and very friendly staff throughout our stay. Hotel is really convenient to UCLA, VA hospital, shops and restaurants. Appreciated the extra pillows, and the open-air, rooftop lounge area.

Next to a busy highway but we were on the street side. Lots of police noise but typical for any large city. Only saw one homeless person on our walk to dinner. It looked new or newly remodeled. My husband fixed the squeaky bathroom door by rubbing the liquid soap on the hinges. Set the heat for 70 at night but it wouldn't go past 73. Told the front desk in the morning and was told we should have called they have 24-hour service!!! I don't want someone in the room at 2AM working on the heat. No discount. It was ok.

Very nice staff , comfortable beds, good breakfast. Easy parking below hotel. It is $30 a day which I did not see on the website but worth it. About 8 minutes to UCLA .

The hotel is in a convenient location on Santa Monica Blvd, although right next to a big freeway (I-405) so you'll want to request any side but east. North faces Santa Monica Blvd which is a busy street so south and west are probably best, with west being the quietest. While the exterior looks a bit dated, the interior was remodeled not that long ago so it looks fresh and modern. The rooms are in good condition and clean, both in materials and housekeeping. No bugs at all. Overall it was quiet except for the noise from people walking in the room above, although it was mostly the first night only. Bathroom was bright with good furnishings. Fridge and microwave in the rooms was also a nice touch. Parking was easy and plentiful in April. (Pro tip: use the exit to enter more easily.) Free breakfast offered many choices including hot food (hashbrown patties, sausages, odd bacon, pancakes from a pancake maker, oatmeal), bagels, bananas, yogurt, juices, coffee. Not great quality but on par with hotels of this level. The dining room is nicely furnished. There are also two computers and printers to use for free to print out stuff or browse if needed. Finally, the service here is really great. From our check in to check out, they really went all out to provide friendly and attentive service that was really appreciated. Shout out to Azela for checking in with us after we left and painlessly resolving an issue with our bill.

Why do you charge for parking. I want stay there again

It is a bit noisy off the freeway (construction and motorcycles ) but I had good quality earplugs for that!

There is 1 elevator for the entire hotel, and it is SLOW. We stayed there for 4 days and our room wasn't serviced once. When first checking in, our bathroom sink had an issue that was never resolved by the hotel staff. The continental breakfast was great, the location was perfect for traveling, and the beds were comfortable. But the staff of this hotel needs to likely be increased to maintain the property better.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, but the constant hum of the AC unit was so disturbing all night. There was also an aroma of smoke and weed wafting through the ventilation.

Clean hotel but had a mushy smell everywhere. Parking was convenient and breakfast could've been better.

Noisy area but great location. Ants were inside our room. Water pressure was low. Shower and Bathroom had hair on floor. Carpet under AC was wet so mold might be under it. We left early after these issues and they charged us full price for 1st night despite all the issues.

The breakfast has a variety of options. But there's an ant in the room which drop my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars.

We arrived after a long drive, my kids were out to bed. When I went to go use te restroom I noticed there was blood on the bathroom door and light switches. I came down to the lobby and let them know what I had found. They offered to come clean but given it was 4am I de lined and asked for a rag to clean it myself. The next night when we got back the bed my daughter and I slept it was full of ants. My husband and I tried to shake the bedding but we continued to find ants that we found were coming from under the mattress. I went down to the lobby and let them know again the problem. They offered to switch us rooms which we accepted. The next morning I let management know and they were very concerned. Overall the amenities and breakfast were great. I just wish our room would of been clean and aunt free.

Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and for a business trip it has everything you need. Wifi, basic amenities, parking, etc. I will definitely be back on my next business trip.

Ok for a basic stay, no bells or whistles. But cheaper than other places. Breakfast was fine. Room was smaller than expected. Extremely noisy as it is literally next to the freeway and we could not escape that noise.

The room on 4th floor has terrible wifi signal. The smell of old building in our room, have to run the ac for a while to “soften” the scent. Breakfast is great and staffs are very polite.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing to knock was the outside noise - the windows could aren’t thick enough for this urban sprawl and the door is even worse. The outside noise from people came in like we were staying a cheap motel at times. But, it’s still a good place to stay. Better if your room isn’t facing the freeway or Santa Monica Blvd

I LOVE the Holiday Inn Express beds! I have consistently the best sleep there.

Was placed in a room facing the corner of an extremely busy intersection. The noise level coming through the windows was horrible. Couldn't sleep and cars were so loud and always honking their horns. Staff were amazing.

Decidedly an average hotel. I was confused about how to rate "service" - but here's my experience: 1. When checking in, there were two people at the counter. The guy who checked us in and a girl. Both seemed courteous - but the girl for some reason laughed really loudly, disappeared and came back with a straight face. Don't know what that was about - but to make the guest feel that it WASN'T about them, she could've said something. That would've been courteous. She also asked if we wanted our room cleaned the next day and apparently we HAD to tell them that a day before. 2. We asked for extra towels twice - and both times it took a reminder as even after about 30-45 minutes, we didn't get the towels. Even after asking, it took a bunch of time for them to bring towels. When they could see that there are 4 people on the reservation, why put only 3 towels in the room? Overall, the operation seemed rather amateurish. The breakfast is your typical Holiday Inn breakfast. Below average kind. The hot food included dry scrambled eggs. There is a per night charge for parking ($30). The parking is rather small - and you get out of the garage into a VERY busy street - so plan on a bunch of time just to get out. I thought the sound proofing wasn't great. If your room is facing the busy street I mentioned, good luck with that!

The Hotel Managers especially Raphael are exceptionally kind and helpful. The 5 stars are for them. All the staff here is very helpful and kind and accomodating.

The property is right next to the freeway on-ramp and off-ramp. The first night was pretty noisy, and the second night was horrific. When checking out, I asked if they could comp something due to the issue since I did not sleep well (the second night, I didn't sleep well one bit). However, I was rudely told upon checking out by the front desk person that I should have asked the front desk to swap my room. Fair enough, but the second night I was already in my underwear in bed trying to fall asleep. I wouldn't pack everything up and change my room in the middle of the night. Sure, that would have been the optimal resolution. But the hotel could have compensated my $50 parking fee for the inconvenience. It's about hospitality, not blaming the guest for the hotel being next to the freeway. I definitely won't be back because of the noise from the freeway. If they at least tried to make it right at the end, I would give it another shot. I would rather spend more money to sleep in a decent hotel that is not right next to the freeway...

Staff was excellent. Hotel was just what I needed. Close enough for quick uber to ucla. Clean, affordable. Great staff. Top notch service. Two thumbs up.

We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express. Raul at the front desk was so welcoming and helped us prepare for our stay. Candy in housekeeping checked in on us making sure we had everything we needed. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel!

Property and location was great being close to the highway. Quite a few homeless people across the road which,as foreigners,made us feel unsafe.

Convenient to area hospitals which was my reason for staying here. Unfortunately it is a noisy and high traffic intersection. My room was right next to the 405 with an on-ramp as a neighboring feature.

Great location. I felt safe walking, even at night. I staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had my needs met.

The hotel in general is good. The area surrounding the hotel, not so much. Travelers beware. However, I did enjoy my stay and it's a go to hotel for me when in this specific area.

Great location...easy access to freeways

The exterior and direct surroundings were a bit worrisome but once your on the property, we found a very clean, safe hotel with wonderful customer service, perfect rooms and yummy breakfasts. The location was convenient for many great attractions.

The staff was extremely friendly and provided efficient room service. The breakfast options are good but the menu remains same which is disappointing. The location of the property is unbelievably poor - right off the highway, extremely noisy and in a sketchy area. You will not be able to walk around for sure.

Seemed either new or recently renovated. Beds comfy, great breakfast. Immediate area had dining options. We walked a block away to eat but it was kinda sketchy area.

Everything was great. We had 2 rooms. We walked across the street to get some food & came back to the eating area (breakfast area) to play games with the kids & have our dinner together. The Breakfast & the hosts were amazing Lolie & Antonio were great & served us a wonderful breakfast.
