Customer Service- Upon arrive, the gentleman in guest services provided great customer service. Checking in was easy and fast. Cleanliness-Room was ok. Bed were comfortable and clean. Pillows can improve. The chairs in the room had some stains. The tub upon arrival had a couple strands of hair. The toilet flushed slowly. Recommend wearing room slippers on carpet. The mini fridge was cold, but could be wiped down after each stay. Safety-overall we felt safe in this location. The location is quiet. Breakfast Food- decent . Breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal, oatmeal packets, toast, bagel, boiled egg, waffle, yogurt, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, and tea offered for breakfast options. Front desk staff where all nice and helpful. Our check in was quick, greatly appreciated after a 6 hour drive. The room was quiet, beds where comfy and clean, only complain is that bathroom had some mold looking black dots on the ceiling. We enjoyed the hot tub and early breakfast. Pool area was very clean as well. We bumped into a few housekeepers during our stay and they were all rude when asking for help or directions , one of them even told my husband “don’t ask me”. I understand they’re job may not be to assist the guest but we just needed directions to the breakfast hall, helping when your familiar with the location shouldn’t be that much of an inconvenience. Overall our family enjoyed the stay and will most likely stay again if ever in town again.

My grandmother had to go out of her way to use the stairs since the elevator was not in service. Not to mention once arriving to their room on the third floor, there were roaches in the room on the tv stand.

This is our 11th or 12th stay at this property. The staff is always friendly. The breakfast is really nice although I wish I was open a little later than 9 o’clock. Plenty of places to park that are well lit. A good value.

For the three star hotel is okay, but mostly, I think the whole property need renovating the pool was dirty. of Dabri. Lost of leaves. a did not really use it for that reason the deck furniture was hundred years old I only used because it’s convenient who we need to be.

Receptionists are not friendly and are always wondering around making people wait around or making people go looking for assistance. The entrance needs vacuuming, and the garbage cans outside were overflowing with trash. The pool was super dirty and the hot tub was broken. The cleaning attendants were inattentive and got the job half done. We had to go get the toilet paper we had requested from them at the front desk. The AC was on auto pilot all night long making it difficult to sleep and they claimed it should have been working well but didn’t care to come check it out themselves. The breakfast was mediocre. Over all they are guilty of false advertisement because they should not have photos of a clean entrance nor of a clean pool or of a working hot tub, because it wasn’t so. The location was also a bit shady with shady people hanging around the parking lot, acting and looking suspicious.

I rented the suite room with balcony for me and my gf and I was sooooooo disappointed that best western can’t even provide a heater for their pool. I was advised to not swim in it. $500 for two nights and no pool. There’s really no excuse. Do better. Why even have a damn pool if it’s not maintained right ?

Have stayed here a total of 4 times (two times in the last week, one week apart) and every time there have been cleanliness concerns (I.e. hair in tub, toilet and floor, things under bed like wrappers and someone else’s dirty sock, and splatters on the bathroom door. I’m not a hotel snob, but the fear of what else is not cleaned/ changed does concern me. For that, I don’t think we would come back. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

The particular room we were given smelled of mold and had mold in the bathroom. We called the front desk and requested a different room as we had kids and didn’t want to stay in the smell. They said there were no other rooms but maybe we could get a discount. We never heard back from the front desk and Expedia wait time for cancelling was too long.

It’s NOT worth saving money to stay here. Feels unsafe. Dirty, mold in the shower, stained carpet and completely outdated. The room smelled, so we tried to open the window, it wouldn’t open, then turned the air on and that was set at 69, so it hardly kicked on. We were afraid to sleep under the blankets. When we drove up to the property, there was someone dumpster diving.

The capitol City Inn was very convenient for a 3 night stay. Clean. Quiet. Bathroom was redone and very clean. Carpet was clean but stained. Time to replace. Very good room rate for Sacramento. Only about 10 minute drive to downtown.. Bed comfortable. Good breakfast. Staff very pleasant. Car distance to restaurants.

Dirty hallway carpets. Sink stop disconnected in our room. Refrigerator was turned way down causing water from full drip pan to flow onto the carpet when opened. House keeping asked us. not to use white shower towel to wipe it up as the carpet is too dirty and gave a clean rag to us. e. Electrical outlets on lamps were worn out. No problem with the staff. No bed bugs roaches, or mice living there. A/C and heating worked, Mattress was ok, a newer one would be better. My wife and I stayed there for a week over Christmas..

The room smelled of animal urine BADLY!! We reported it and the front desk stated he would be up with deodorizer. They were full so we couldn’t switch rooms. And due to baseball and softball tournaments there were no affordable options. We sprayed our perfume, left the window open as well as kept the fan on. I reported it again as we were leaving this morning and told them about the staff from last night as well. You would think they’d comp at least 1/2. Never again.

The hotel was dirty carpets restrooms and floors it ffelt like motel 6. It was very noise in the morning cause hotel I right off the 99. Dining space only fits 3-4 places to eat and very ghetto. The breakfast is sausage and fake powder eggs. They ran out within 40 min of serving breakfast we ask for then to re-fill the food and they said thier out of food. Place is very ghetto and unsafe

The staff and service were awesome. The room didn’t have a remote for the TV, so the front desk person had to bring up a new one after being swamped by check-ins. The thermostat had repeated errors, so the front desk person had to fix it. The room isn’t very sound proof, and I could hear every single person walking in and out of their rooms and walking down the hall. I was awaken at 3:30 am, and couldn’t go back to sleep.

We only stayed for the night. The only negative was that the bed, we could feel the springs and only 1 very thin "blanket". Luckily we had with us a comforter, otherwise it would be like sleeping with just sheets.

Great for a quick stay. It has what you need however everything seems super outdated. Old carpet with moldy bathroom. Housekeeping will wait for you literally right outside your room for you to leave so they can go in.

First thing was me calling the hotel to inform them that there was two of us traveling, and the one person would get to the hotel before me I called the front desk and told them that the person that was traveling with me would be arriving first, and I wasn’t quite sure if their name was listed on the room so they took down my name which is on the reservation and the other person‘s name, so obviously I thought that was it. So when my partner arrived at the hotel, they did not see his name anywhere any notes passed along or anything of that nature. So once I arrived, I go in there and give her my license. She looked at my license and said that there was no room even with the itinerary number confirmation number, so me and my partner were discussing things and just going to rent a room without the Expedia booking and settle up with Expedia later, and I asked for her information so I could be covered because I didn’t want be charged for not showing up for a room that I obviously booked and was confirmed for. Once I asked for her information suddenly the reservation appeared so I don’t know if it was a race thing or incompetence thing but it was very disappointing to say the least .

I liked how it was easy to check-in. The staff was really nice, especially the Hispanic lady who was patient and let us get breakfast at the last minute before she started cleaning up. My in-law enjoyed their first stay at a hotel.

Needed room near Kaiser hospital. We were on the 3rd Floor. I'd stay here again when in Sac. Facility was quiet and CHP office was across the street. Easy access to fwy. Breakfast provided had hot and cold options. Every staff member we spoke with was professional and pleasant.

The girl who checked me in was really nice and assured me of my reservation. The lobby is a bit small but it looked clean and pretty with the decors. The room for breakfast was a bit smaller than I thought. Breakfast was great, there were a variety from waffles, bread, muffins, bagels, yogurt, milk, butter, pb & j, coffee, creamer, sugar, cooked scrambled eggs, sausages, and Sunkist juices. The coffee was less than basic, because we had dark roast and it was not anywhere near dark. It didn’t taste good too. The bed was not soft or plush; my dad got a backache from the bed. The room was not rundown but better than average. Coffee machine in the room was missing parts, the window had no outside blind so I could stick my head out..kind of liked that. Minor stains and scraps here and there. Great customer service; I was on my period and asked if they had a vending machine but the receptionist offered to bring up some up to my room! This was 5 in the morning.
