We had a great stay here. The staff are very friendly, room was clean, and it is close to Old Town. There were a few homeless wandering around at night by the street but none in the lot or by the rooms. The Mexican restaurant that is in the same parking lot was really good too. We did use the laundry facility and several machines were out of order but we were able to wash and dry with no issues.

The bed was comfortable, the room was good size, BUT, I was surprised to see a two-story building had NO ELEVATORS. People with large luggage have to carry them to the second floor, which is quite inconvenient.. In addition, there was no fan in the shower/bathroom area.

There was no pool towels and the pool was not clean. We ended up cleaning the pool ourselves. Husband went and asked about pool towels and none were ever brought out to pool area, they were instead put into our room without us in there. Miscommunication issues. Breakfast was good though

The front staff was very accommadating and very helpful. The breakfast was decent since it was included in the price. Machine that gives you dark to light coffee, rotating menu. I had bacon, eggs, and pancakes one day and eggs gravy and sausage and pancakes. Truckers are often staying here as well. Small pool, hot tub, and small gym which I used for the treadmill. Place is very doable for the price and its a older facility so don't expect Egyptian 500 count thread sheets, lumpy bed.

First room keys didn’t work second room missing towels and body wash this key didn’t open the laundry room for ice. The staff was not very helpful. The hot tub and pool were closed early as the lights didn’t work ….

Floor turned bottoms of feet black. Housekeeping every other day. Asked first night to have floors cleaned the next day when housekeeping on site. At checkout, finally told that the problem is they haven’t found a cleaning solution for the asphalt tar residue sticking to the vinyl flooring. Otherwise, good location for walking to Old Sacramento. Beds were decent. Breakfast adequate.

LITERAL ROACH MOTEL. Large dead roach by toilet, live roach in bathtub, and live roaches in room by fridge and desk. White comforters covered in gross stains. Tweakers in the parking lot and dancing in the streets. It was late when I arrived but after roaches skittered around my feet I bailed and didnt stay the night, ended up sleeping in my car in a truckstop parking lot and still got a better sleep then I would have if I'd stayed. DO NOT BOOK HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE ROACHES, TWEAKERS AND MYSTERY STAINS.

We checked in late on a Friday night. We discovered that the floors were visibly dirty and sticky. Saturday morning we requested the floors get a quick cleaning. Someone came and made the bed, but clearly did not attempt the floors. All of our socks were black by the end of the weekend

Stayed in room 115 the air conditioning was horrible made the loudest noises even when switched off kept me up all night and also since it’s kinda a corner room people stand out in from of room to smoke and keep you up!! Because seems like that is the only place where they have an ash tray… also the bathroom door didn’t shut and the left corner on the bottom off the bed was broken so it would tilt…

We usually come here when transiting Sacramento. The rooms are clean and the staff is prompt and courteous. The local PD needs to clean up the area. This isn’t the hotel’s fault. The satellite TV reception is poor in the evening in Room 130. The wifi works well. We’ll stay here again.

One of the noisiest rooms we have ever stayed in. The floor of the room above ours squeaked loudly at every step and the bathroom fan in our room groaned. On the plus side, the room was nicely decorated and the breakfast buffet was very good.

The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean, but old. It has been cheaply renovated, think painted over wall rot in the bathroom, a toilet so low to the ground an adult over 4' is going to have issues standing, an AC that runs but never cools the room, doors that have been replaced but don't fit the jamb so they don't shut properly. Bed and pillows were comfy. Fridge was clean and cold. Pool, spa and gym looked clean - didn't use so I have no idea how they functioned. The area is old and run down. The homeless and drug induced come out at dusk and frequent the gas stations down the street. An evening stroll may be safe, it may not be.

The hotel was nice for the price. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Friendly service. However it was really noisy. There seems to be a lot of people living at the hotel long term. They were very loud. Arguing and babies crying at 3-4 am. The people across from me were very loud in the early morning. Pounding on the door and loud talking in the hallway. Not good for business travelers.

The location was too far a walk from destination in 100 degree weather. The room design was very poor. The air conditioner is right next to the bed. Due to the excessive heat it blew on the bed all night making it uncomfortable sleeping

I’ve booked many hotels for concerts before, and this was by far the worst experience to date. The woman at the counter had no idea what she was doing, it was her second day on the job on a Saturday and anything we needed she couldn’t help us with. We were an hour early for check in, and they refused to let us check in early…and when we came back in at 4 they still told us 10 more minutes for cleaning even tho we were waiting by our room the whole time and it wasn’t serviced at all that entire hour so we ended up waiting for no reason. We later tried calling the hotel to put us thru to the room my baby brother was in with his babysitter, and she couldn’t even do that. If it was anyone else, my stay would’ve been fine…but she made it so hard to stay when nothing we needed was met.

This hotel was fine for the one night I stayed. Staff was helpful and the room was clean enough. Those of us who have traveled to Sacramento over the years have seen this area of Jibboom St start to get seedy. The hotel is surrounded by iron gates (what choice do they have?) and depending on your size and gender, you may or may not want to walk to the nearby restaurant or convenience store. I went to the vending machine area which is outdoors on ground floor, around 11:30pm and felt vulnerable in the dim lit area while reaching into the machine to get my snack. Didn’t trust that someone wasn’t coming up behind me because the lighting is not good. Also heard a warning alarm telling trespassers to leave the property. All these things create the atmosphere of a motel, and some were good and some not. I feel for the managers of these motels because there is a lot wrong that they cannot control. I would not recommend this area for travelers with kids or travelers who like to walk from their hotel to food or drinks. Fine for folks who are looking for reasonable price, decent free breakfast, clean enough room, and are comfortable in slightly sketchy areas. These models need support!

Great clean hotel. Sacramento has cleaned up the area in the last year and it is a great walk from old Sacramento along the river to the hotel. Great pool and an amazing Mexican restaurant next door.

Nothing was unique about the Motel because it was a deceitful advertisement of the place as a Hotel instead of a Motel. Not enough breakfast for whole stay duration period. Had to wait for limited food being prepared by rations. Last day of Sunday was even worse when we were told that the manager who wasn't on duty decided what breakfast to be served to people. Worse service ever, very poor, will NEVER recommend to anyone.

The property had big trucks all around it and our room looked out on an adjoining property with barbed wire and a large dumpster. We did back up to a bike path but it had homeless people huddled nearby. Our room was uninviting, the blankets very thin, and the towels were threadbare with strings hanging from them. We had breakfast and the eggs were powdered or something and tasted like sawdust. However the dining room staff was very friendly and accommodating. We've stayed at Best Westerns before and been pleased. This hotel needs upgrading or more truthful photography.
