The Wharf Inn is really what you pay for. It is more affordable than the other hotels surrounding it and is in an AMAZING location, just seconds from Fisherman's Wharf. Our room was clean, but had an interior view (down a hallway) and no ceiling fan. It just looked very different from the pictures shown. However, the location and friendliness of the staff made up for this as a place to stay while enjoying the city.

The first room I was given, had such a huge gap under the door as a solo female traveler I was incredibly uncomfortable so I asked for a different room. Second room I was put on also had a huge gap under the door in the room what’s hot and not set for a guest. The mass of chords tangled up on the floor between the TV and the desk looks like a complete fire hazard. It was so uncomfortable staying. I left the first thing next morning and did not even stay for my entire trip. Immediately booked another hotel room. It was much nicer, much cleaner, and much safer for a female guest. I was fine with the neighborhood, I walked several places even in the evening. I had no issues with that. It was just the property itself. I know they’re under construction, but it is not acceptable to stay in at this point in time.
