This has become my go-to for my work visits and family visits. Wife and I are bodybuilders and the gym choices in SF are super dirty, crowded, and spendy for a day pass. This hotel has a great gym. The main reason we try and pick this hotel every time. The room is great and clean. Service is good. I asked a few times for a microwave for the room and they say they will bring one up, and that has yet to happen.

What a wonderful stay!! This hotel is HUGE, but still had extremely good and small hotel level service. We arrived early, and thankfully, had a room ready! Our room on the 28th floor was the biggest I’ve seen for a standard room in a downtown hotel. It was modern, comfortable, and was very quiet! Our view was stunning, and the elevators for us up quickly. Gym was the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel! So many new machines. The destination fee is a bit of an annoyance, but it was easy to use the $20 room credit. We often picked up dessert before we headed back to our room. Safety was also top of mind here. We felt extremely safe with the hotel security team explicitly visible, a nice perk in the SF downtown area. We will definitely stay here again when our travels bring us to SF!

Fantastic location, close to public transit, great food, and coffee. Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Only issue (kinda big) is the valet only $90/night parking. We ended up using the Hearst Parking center nearby ($35/night) instead. I get that it’s common in SF for bigger named hotels to charge a lot for parking, but just because it’s common doesn’t make it right. Didn’t outweigh the positives though and we’d definitely stay here again.

Was a nice hotel, though on hotels.com it stated "parking available" but once we checked in realized it was valet parking only and it was over $90 a night. It would have been nice if the listing had noted that, as we had to park in a garage a block away and lug all of our belongings with us. The parking garage was $44 for 24 hours, so notably cheaper, but added to the cost of our room, wasn't a great deal. The hotel also charge a $33 destination fee, which was also annoying and an extra charge. Would not recommend for those on a budget as the cost of the room just kept going up.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Marquis and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience during the check-in process, primarily due to the parking situation and traffic. This is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location to base yourself and explore San Francisco. Standards are very high, rooms are fantastic and the bed very comfortable. Some of the services are a little pricey, but the standard and quality is excellent. The only thing missing for us as a family was a pool. If there had been one, this would have been a five star review.

Love Marriott properties, this one was nice. Room was mostly clean, (all the typical surfaces and areas were clean) the top of the shower had was coated in dust, there was some sort of vent/exhaust in the shower, if you looked inside it was caked full of dust and definitely hasn’t been maintained in a while. You could definitely tell at one time in this rooms lifetime it was a smoking room, definitely wasn’t as fresh as I would typically expect from a Marriott property. The M-Club was great although kind of dark. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

This resort had a false fire alarm go off for 20 minutes on the second night of our stay. The shampoo, body wash, and conditioner pumps in the bathroom were halfway used the room bathroom was not fully clean. And the desk people at check in / out counter lines were very long they kept servicing to incoming pilots that were staying at the resort and let them skip the entire line and also only catered to elite member only members we had to wait 30 minutes to be checked out of this hotel I would not recommend this resort for your San Francisco stay.

The staff were great. Very friendly and welcoming. Everyone from the person who checked me in to the staff in the View and the downstairs shop. The hotel has a great 2 Floor gym and my room was spacious. If there one’s only thing I wish could improve and that’s the room sound-proofing. Although the room does come equip with a sort of white noise machine. I certainly would come back to this hotel if I visit San Francisco again.

Staff Support was awful. The desk associate amd Manager(Parwinder Kaur) were very rude and difficult to deal with. I experienced almost an hour of interrogation from both women who constantly asked me for a confirmation code for my stay. This is in addition to me providing my Driver's license and a receipt. I had to finally resort to contacting Hotels.com to inquire about a confirmation number. After asking the manager Parwinder for assistance, she approached me aggressively, raising her voice and drawing attention to me with other customers looking on. This was absolutely the worst experience I've received since using Hotels.com. I truly feel this was a discriminatory act. After this experience, my wife and I will not consider staying with Marriott Marquis again.

Hospitality was very responsive. We were at the airport when I realized my wallet with all IDs and credit cards were missing. Called the hotel. They put me through to housekeeping, who went to our room and found my wallet. Then lost and found arranged for a company car to get my wallet to the airport. All in time for boarding. What a relief. Extremely thankful to the hotel staff in responding to a crisis situation.

I am very disappointed at the level of service provided on the day we checked in. On that day we were attending an event at the hotel that we were late to. The check in was absolutely ridiculous. It took us over an hour to check in. Initially there were only three people checking in(two of which went to the back for approximately 10 to 15 min.).When they came back, one employee had an attitude and proceeded to check in people from the elite check in line when they already had a rep. serving them and the regular check in line was literally out the entrance door of the hotel. A customer called her on it, and she made a comment that they were elite(as if their business as a customer was more important). When we got to the front desk, the customer service rep said he would upgrade our room to a room with a view at no charge( not asking, but telling us). We got to the room and it was ADA room, (which had I known, I would have declined.).We were stuck because I wasn’t going back to the check in line and we were running late for the event on the premises. They did not have room service. You had to go and pick up your order. I tried to check out using the tv to avoid the check in line again and the that didn’t work. An error message appeared.

The staff at the front desk who were overwhelmed with too many people to check in and then not enough. Staff were very nasty. Took us almost 45 minutes just to check in as we stood in line. Hotel is incredibly loud and has many conferences going on. Do not stay here if you want a warm nice environment.

The hotel was nice, but the directions were for the wrong side of the hotel. Not the actually valet parking, which made it a pain to drive 5 blocks to get to the valet parking side. Went to the view lounge, great view, but there was a hair in the food. Super over priced food at the view lounge, especially since there was a hair in it. Would recommend the hotel, but not eating there. Breakfast was 42 dollars a plate for a basic hotel breakfast, which is usually free at a hotel.

Property is modern, clean, and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a great hotel if you’re here for work/business. But not a place I would book again if I was looking for a relaxing weekend away. There’s only one restaurant which is only open for a breakfast buffet and dinner. No room service available. In walking distance to the Moscone Center.

It was good, classic big hotel vibes. Clean and well located. The only thing I did not like was the sky bar. Yes, the view was pretty, but service was beyond terrible, the cocktail I had was forgettable and insanely expensive, and they charged $9 for a soda water.

Do not even bother with the ridiculously expensive buffet breakfast. It was absolutely terrible and cost 150 for 2 adults and 2 children. Most of the food was inedible. The staff was really nice though.
