Hotel Des Indes The Hague - The Leading Hotels of the World

Een prachtig hotel en geweldige staff, je wordt er op je wenken bediend. Wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van de bar en de foyer. De cocktails en drankjes waren ook voortreffelijk, daarnaast stond ook mijn favoriete rum op de kaart. De hotelkamer was schoon en netjes maar weerspiegelde mijns inziens de grandeur van het hotel verder niet, de tafel en de fauteuils pasten niet bij elkaar (fauteuils veel te laag en de tafel te hoog waardoor je daar niet fatsoenlijk aan tafel kon zitten), het bed was prima maar om de kamer een luxueuzere uitstraling te geven is gekozen voor een messing stelling met gespannen doek om het idee te geven van een hemelbed, de schroeven die gebruikt zijn om dit alles te bevestigen staken behoorlijk uit hetgeen zorgde voor een slordige en geenszins luxueuze uitstraling ook hing een van de messing kappen los van het plafond. De ligging van het hotel is heel centraal. Op loopafstand ben je binnen vijf minuten bij diverse musea (Haags historisch, Escher en het Mauritshuis), het binnenhof en loop je het centrum in. Het Malieveld bereik je binnen 10 minuten lopen. Ook kwa restaurants kun je in de directe omgeving van het hotel voldoende variatie vinden, bijv. Argentijns, Italiaans, Indiaas, etc. Dit is overigens letterlijk om de hoek van het hotel, met name restaurant Impero Romano is aan te raden. Het hotel biedt ook een uitgebreide keuze aan opties van ontbijt tot high tea tot aan diner, op zondag is het niet mogelijk te dineren in het hotel. Al met al een prima

I like the location of Des Indes but it's a little old-fashioned. Some would say it's charming, but waiting for an outdated lift for 3 minutes is a little bit too long. Also in the morning, when I wanted to shower, I discovered there were no amenities in the bathroom: no shower cap, no toothbrush of razor, little sewing kit or whatever, nothing. For a hotel in this price range it's a bit of a disgrace. Having said that, the valet parking is great, staff are friendly, breakfast is decent. They also apologised profusely for the lack of amenities. The room was also quite small but since I was only there for the 1 night, it wasn't a problem. All in all I am not sure I would stay there again, since my previous experience at the same hotel was fantastic and this time it disappointed a little. May have had to do with the fact that the hotel was quite full with tourists.

L’hôtel bénéficie d’un cadre historique et soigné, mais l’expérience ne correspond pas au standing attendu. Le personnel est courtois, sans toutefois se démarquer par une attention particulière. Le service voiturier a rendu mon véhicule couverte de résine et de feuilles, et s’est contenté de répondre qu’« une pluie arrangerait cela ». Résultat : deux lavages inutiles et un polissage à prévoir. Très décevant, car inacceptable, pour un établissement se revendiquant du luxe.

From the moment you step inside, the building feels like a destination in itself. The reservation system is a brilliant touch—it keeps the space peaceful, organized, and ensures you get your own private, relaxing experience. Overall, it’s a place that effortlessly blends beauty, comfort, and thoughtful design. I wish i can return in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous hotel with a very friendly and attentive staff. The location was excellent in every way. I highly recommend it to even the most discriminating of travelers. Only downside: pool. It’s very small and you need a reservation.

Very central location, large room with a nice bathroom featuring separate shower and bathtub. Large and comfortable bed. Gym a bit small and crowded, pool also rather small. Dinner options a bit limited on a Monday night. Breakfast good with good coffee which did not come out of these horrible self service machines but was brought to the table. Would stay there again!

Prachtig hotel en heel vriendelijk personeel. Je kan er mits reservatie vlakbij parkeren. Het hotel ligt heel centraal en dus vlakbij de musea, de shopping en ernaast ligt een straat met tal van restaurants.

I have known this hotel for all my life but finally booked a stay there for New Year's Eve. Excellent place to stay, especially remembering the poor performance we experienced in the Kurhaus a few years ago. You notice they are striving for perfection and all areas where clean, beautiful and stylish. We had a bit of an issue with the room window but the very helpful staff told us not to hesitate in the future to seek assistance. Expensive stay but a great experience

Elegant, comfortable, beautiful and convenient to everything. I loved my stay! The staff was excellent and the rooms were clean and lovely. You won’t be disappointed.

Albergo in pieno centro Pulitissimo e personale super gentile

Prachtig historisch hotel, fantastisch gelegen in het hart van de stad. Het personeel is aardig en sommigen (de conciërge) zeer competent, de receptie medewerker die ik trof aardig maar nieuw en was een beetje onzeker over wat er al betaald was en wat nog niet, een beetje verwarrend. De kamer (4e verdieping) was niet geweldig, bij vorige verblijven op andere verdiepingen was dat aanzienlijk beter. De kamer was wel schoon, maar niet 5 sterren waardig. De minibar is leeg (via een QR code kun je wat bestellen) en het krappe bad heeft een hele hoge opstap. Er staan 2 mini glazen flesjes water. De TV is ongelukkig aan de muur geplaatst naast de badkamer. Er is beperkte TV zender keuze en geen streaming. Deze kamer heeft echt een upgrade nodig naar de huidige tijd.

Voor ons het beste hotel in Den Haag - geweldige service, ruime, nette en sfeervolle kamer voorzien van alle gemakken en een uitmuntend restaurant. We komen zeker terug!

keurig hotel met fijne kamers en centraal gelegen, minpunt is wel dat je voor sommige dingen moet bijbetalen zoals meer dan een uur in de spa of egg benedict bij het ontbijt

The hotel was nice and clean. Not too long a walk to be in the center. Breakfast staff were not great. We were completely ignored as were other guests too. The older gentleman who showed us to our table at breakfast was friendly, the rest were not.

Beautiful, elegant hotel within a fifteen minute walk from Hague Central Station. Posh rooms with high quality furniture. Good breakfast buffet. A bit expensive.

We always stay at the Des Indes in Den Haag. It is so elegant and well located. Our room was quiet, comfortable and had a very nice view over the city. Breakfast buffet is always nice though a bit pricey. Overall a great hotel.

Een prachtige plek met veel historie. We hadden een mooie kamer op de 3e verdieping die erg ruim was. Het bed was een van de beste die we de afgelopen tijd hebben gehad in hotels. De klimatisering was erg rustig en de temperatuur in de kamer stabiel. Een ander hoogtepunt was het ontbijt. Erg uitgebreid met ook war a la carte opties. Voor wie ervan houdt: dagelijks wordt een high tea geserveerd, ook een aanrader.

Beautiful historic hotel. Service was impeccable. Our room was small and up a steep staircase but was full of charm. Lots of nooks and crannies in the hotel. Gorgeous chandeliers and ceiling work- really wonderful atmosphere. Concierge very helpful with reservations. Could have done without the steep and narrow stairs to our room but otherwise wonderful stay.

Aangenaam verblijf. Nette kamer en vriendelijk personeel. Enkel het straatgeluid was wat hinderlijk en een kamer op het gelijkvloers tijdens een festival of straatfeest is geen aanrader.

A very nice and unique building. The location is perfect. Service was wonderful. Breakfast very tasty and rich. The room is a bit small, and a bit dark (not enough lights).

Stunning hotel and foyer, 5 star for sure. Staff however, with the exception of the porter very poor. Dining a nightmare, waited 15 mins to be told dish was not available then reordered stakes which arrived 1 hour later cold.

Excellent rooms if a bit quirky, comfortable with excellent bed and bathroom. Staff variable, cheerful but disorganised; better training of front desk staff needed. Location excellent. Not a five star hotel, a good four at best.

Service staff seriously understaffed! On a few occasions during breakfast I was completely forgotten and had to go into the service area to serve my own coffee juices and no one checked in on me. The staff however are very friendly but there’s only so much they can do. This is not the way an establishment of this expected caliber should be operating. I have stayed here on many occasions and I’m disappointed by the lack of attention in the dining area. I hope someone looks into this and brings the staff up to the level of professionalism one would expect from the Des Indes otherwise there are many other establishments that can meet the service expectations. Just to be clear, everyone was friendly and do their best. It’s management that is responsible for the understaffing and lack of attention to the big picture.

The hotel is our go to place in The Hague. We are never disappointed. The people working here are a nice mix of new personell but also long time employees. They are the gold of this hotel. One may expect service here but you really get SERVICE.

The property itself is beautiful and wonderfully positioned. Safe and central, walking distance to attractions, cafes and restaurants. The property lets itself down by poor restaurant/bar/breakfast service. The Staff seem disorganised and are not attentive to the needs of customers. They are not seating customers, not returning to take orders, are unclear of who ordered what. I feel that the supervisor needs additional training in order to ensure the team runs efficiently. I could go on, however, I feel that overall it was disappointing on a number of issues.

Zalig verblijven hier, vlakbij centrum Den Haag. Vriendelijk personeel dat ‘really take’s care’. En dat in een omgeving die nog de grandeur van vroeger uitstraalt.

The hotel is located at a very convenient quiet area yet close to many attractions and restaurants. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Staffs are friendly. I will stay at the hotel again if I am going to visit The Hague in the future.

It seems that the chef has left. The menu offerings are uninspired and very limited. The hotel itself is beautiful and well equipped. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We will be back.
