Oceania Saint Malo

Only issue we really had was with parking and charging electric car. As we were on holiday we had a roofbox on. Although I did reserve a parking spot, I was not informed about a 1.85 Metre height restriction on the parking. We had to find our own parking and could not charge our car overnight.

We stayed on the fifth (top) floor with a nice view of the ocean across the street. It’s within walking distance to the downtown and many restaurants. The breakfast was diverse and sufficient, the room was clean. The bathroom was small but not the smallest in Europe. Our daughter had the loft which had two singles and room for luggage and clothes. Although the stairs are closer to being a ladder. The parking in the underground was really really tight and required a lot of maneuvering and neighborly consideration and caution to avoid denting vehicles.

Très bien situé. Plage juste en face de l hotel. Bonne sélection de restaurant proche. Les employés sont très serviable et gentil. Parking sous terrain (payant 20 euros par jour) mais très sécurisé. Possibilité de location de vélo sur place. Bcp de resto proche mais aussi bcp de gens, besoin de réservation. (Nous c etait un samedi donc je ne sais pas si c est toujours comme ca)

Lovely hotels recently renovated. Have been twice this year and really enjoyed the experience. Rooms are clean and have everything needed. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room are a great plus! The staff is very polite, nice and friendly.

Parking on site was very convenient but snug.

The hotel is renovated everything is new. The location is very good outside the old city on the Cornich along the bay. They have an inside pool hamam and Jacuzi open untill midnight. The Ocean view is relaxing.

Nice, clean, modern hotel recently refurbished. Nice staff. Particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, hammam, jacuzzi area on a rainy morning... perfectly located less than 5 mins from the Intra-Muros area!

Very good hotel, lovely staff friendly and helpful, nice breakfast with lots of choice, beautiful views over the beach. Hotel was clean and immaculate. Rooms well stocked with tea coffee water, biscuits, beautiful rituals toiletries, everything you could need, dressing gowns and slippers provided. Couldn’t fault it - the swimming pool and jacuzzi tub was lovely , plenty of towels and loungers to relax. My only complaint is that the bar was closed throughout our stay, but there is plenty of places to get drinks nearby, if the bar was open it would have been near enough a perfect stay.

Good overall - best location to walk easily into Intra Muros. Room was lovely, we had an executive partial sea view. The sea view was much better than I expected. Downside was that the room behind us looked right over our (small) balcony and into our room depending on where they were standing. It was a squeeze to get two people on the balcony but it was lovely to have the option to go outside. The two main things in the room that could have been better was that there were cheap paper cups to drink the coffee from and no glasses to use. Also the fridge was less than useless - a strange slim fridge that could only hold two small bottles of water and did not even keep those cool. We stayed 3 nights and the storage was adequate but we would have struggled for a week as storage very limited. Most of this I could have got over but the main downside for me was the garage. Parking is tight in St Malo in the summer, also we had planned on doing some small furniture shopping so we didn't want to leave the car in a public car park. It costs 22 Eur a night which is bearable for 3 nights but... Firstly you cannot book in advance so you arrive not knowing if you will be able to use the garage. Secondly, it is the tightest garage I have ever been in, with small spaces for the size of the cars and a really odd lay out which made it really difficult to get in any of the spaces. As we were doing our 30 point turn each day it was quite funny to watch new guests arrive and hear their curses

Very good hotel, although the corridors had a musty smell. I’m told it is being refurbished this winter. Room was good with good air conditioning. Looked at the breakfast offering but didn’t bother at 20 euros each. Parking underneath was worthwhile as it is a nightmare trying to park in St Malo at this time of year.

Hotel tres bien situé, petit plus avec la piscine. Petit bemol pour la moquette sale du couloir et quelques petites finitions dans la chambre qui ne devraient pas être pour un 4 étoiles et manque de mini bar dans la chambre. J y retournerais avec plaisir.

Pulizia da terzo mondo: siamo arrivati con lo scopino del bagno sporco di feci e non è mai stato pulito, mi è caduto un asciugamano bianco umido a terra, una volta raccolto era sporco (segno che il pavimento non era stato ben pulito. Il parcheggio interno della struttura è comodo ma si tenga conto che non è adatto a vetture di grandi dimensioni, sopratutto se più larghe di 190 cm

Placard de rangement en salle de sport ... juste sale ! Pour le reste, de ce que nous avons vu, rien à dire de négatif.

Ce séjour a été très agréable, le personnel est avenant et efficace, la propreté est irréprochable, le PDJ très bien Il manque juste 1/2 mètre en largeur à la chambre pour qu’elle soit parfaite. Elle est idéale pour une personne mais pour deux, elle est un peu juste. Le grand lit a été privilégié par rapport à la taille de la chambre, je pense que c’est le plus important. Je donne donc la note de 8,5/10. Renée

Beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beach across the street and lots of restaurant choices within walking distance.

Ett fantastiskt hotell vid havet och nära till restauranger samt till gamla stan. Rummen är små men rena och badrummet är mycket fräscht. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, mycket rent och välskött överallt. Frukosten var mycket bra och serverades som frukostbuffé. Staden var underbar och vi kommer gärna tillbaka.

Chambre un peu petite pour un couple, Pas trop de place pour mettre ses valises. Gobelet en papier dans la salle de bain. Pas café n'y thé dans la chambre

Luxurious hotel with good service and breakfast. Rooms are a bit style over practicality. For example a lovely big room with seating area but TV could only be seé from the bed

Nice location outside the old town. Close to the beach. Rooms are tiny. We were 3 adults in a premium room which I guess is supposed to be the size for 3. But it became very fast very crowded. Breakfast is ok but nothing special. Very nice crew -service minded.

Extra large bed meant no room for suitcases. The soap/shampoo pump in the shower barely worked

Bien placé, mais la gestion est pas optimale. Mais au 1er étage, on a plus vue sur les WC publique que sur la mer. Draps pas doux. Lit trop grand pour la chambre. Manque d’endroit pour poser les valises.

Nice hotel directly on the beach, walkable to St Malo walled town (about 15-20 min walk). Family room has a loft with 2 twin beds but the stairs are narrow and steep so a bit scary to have the kids walk down at night should they need to use the bathroom which is downstairs. Also absolutely impossible to cool down the loft space - no A/C vents up there, so no matter how cold you make it, the cold air doesn’t reach the loft. The only way to cool the upstairs area is to open the skylight assuming the air outside is not too hot and that you can sleep when the sun shines through it in the morning. We asked the reception for a fan but were told they didn’t have any suitable ones.

Very nice hotel with the best location at the seafront. Our room had a stunning view over the sea. The only minus was that the room was very small, but on the other hand - we didn't go to Saint Malo to stay in the hotelroom :-)

This hotel had great staff! Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were beautiful, the bed and bathroom were comfortable The location was just across from the ocean and I had an ocean view room The breakfast buffet was full of delicious choices I’d love to stay there again someday

The staff was more than helpful. The young man who helped check us in even gave a tour of the hotel.

We had to add a second night when Condor cancelled our ferry to Jersey at the last moment and the hotel staff were super helpful. Great location and easy on-street free parking.

Long wait at unattended desk for check-in. Very difficult car park with very narrow spaces. Otherwise good, comfortable, clean room and varied breakfast buffet.

Excellent hotel. Value for money. Staff friendly and polite. Bar staff clearly had never made cocktails before. Took over half an hour and needed prompting. Not a problem if we were not going out after but frustrating to have to drink the whole lot in a hurry. Would definitely recommend

Séjour au top : je tiens à remercier Cédric que j'avais eu avant mon séjour au téléphone et qui a été efficace,rassurant et bienveillant.Je voudrais également remercier la personne (pardon je n'ai pas retenu le prénom) qui a enregistré notre arrivée et notre départ.Il a été très agréable,efficace et à l'écoute.Au petit déjeuner nous avons rencontré une hôtesse (une dame blonde )disponible et de bon conseil, un rayon de soleil.Tout a été parfait l'accueil, la chambre,le petit déjeuner. Si je dois revenir à Saint Malô je n'hésiterais pas à revenir dans votre hôtel situé en bord de mer.

The reception staff friendliness and customer service was absolutely outstanding. They went over and above to try and accommodate us with special request. They were stars!

Vue magnifique, emplacement idéal pour être un peu à l’écart de l’agitation tout en étant à distance de marche des restos, boutiques, etc.

This large clean hotel is a convenient walk outside the walled city of Saint Malo. Lots of public parking around the hotel. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Lovely hotel with super friendly staff and in the perfect location. The beach is right across the road and so is a fabulous seafood restaurant. The hotel has indoors secure parking and is a short drive to the ferry port

Very nice hotel. Good location, clean room, good breakfast. Were in back part of hotel so no view of water for us, but lounge and breakfast area had good views. If you must have the views, paythe extra and I'm they would be great.

Great location close to the beach. Walking distance to old town. We were able to upgrade our room, had a sea view. Could also see the old town. Room very clean, spacious. Just needed a fridge to keep drinks like water cold. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

Très bel hôtel avec une localisation parfaite. La vue sur mer depuis la chambre était magnifique. Par contre, le prix du petit déjeuner (22€/personne) est très largement exagéré.

La vue était incroyable, les équipements de l’hôtel sont très bien. En revanche, pour le prix payé, le petit déjeuner n’est pas au niveau, le parking a 22€/jour n’est pas adapté (nous nous sommes garé dans la rue pour 1,50€ pour le week-end…), le service n’à tien de spécial. Pour le prix payé, nous nous attendions à mieux.

Tres bel accueil, chambre spacieuse, impeccable, parfaitement équipée et agencée avec goût et modernité. L'espace détente est très agréable. Petit déjeuner parfait.

Comfortable beds, quiet room with double glazing. Cleaned daily. 15mins walk to Intra Muros. Good for watching the tides. Excellent breakfast, no other food available.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, face à la plage du Sillon et à 15 min à pieds de l'intra-muros. Le personnel est très arrangeant et accueillant, et il y a un parking sur place (20 euros par jour) ce qui est très pratique en période d'affluence! Nous avions une chambre confort: le lit est de taille king size ce qui est top, cependant le matelas est très dur et il n'y a que deux oreillers! Hôtel très calme et bien insonorisé. Le petit déjeuner est varié, bien que les produits soient de qualité inégale: œufs brouillés en poudre, crêpes industrielles (vraiment pas possible en Bretagne!!), sélection de fromages très passable....par contre le far breton était excellent, les thés également et les petites confitures de qualité. En bref, ce fut un séjour agréable malgré ces inconvénients.
