Good: very near the airport, nice pool, decent bar and lunch food, access to the beach is easy (and the front desk gave us towels and vouchers for beach lounge chairs), several excellent restaurants on the beach only 5 minutes away walking, clean and comfortable room. Bad: the breakfast buffet is horrible and not worth $18; no late checkout (which is inconvenient because many people who stay here have departure flights in late afternoon); the bar across the street is loud until about midnight, with lots of engine-revving by motorcycles Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Needs pool chaise lounge’s need to be upgraded.

The only thing for me, was I paid for breakfast for my entire stay. Due to renovations and change of ownership. I last 3 days. Which wasn’t a big deal due to Restuarant being close by. Everything else was good.

Safe. Super convenient. Nice breakfast area. Refreshing pool. Great beach across the street - lovely walking paths along the coast to follow into town. Needed an accommodation for one night traveling solo before joining rest of group at a villa rental. This was perfect. Not expensive and very comfortable. Room on first floor interior, walk out to pool! Plus microwave and mini fridge which I didn’t expect was great for a quick trip to Superfoods.

Nice clean rooms, close to surfside beach, short walk to downtown and easy taxi rice to airport, friendly staff, clean pool, and good for both adults and families with children. There is some street noise at night from a street side bar opposite the hotel as well as some young crown doing stunts on the road with bikes and cars…but not too bad The hotel bar is average, and the convenience store doesn’t remain open long hours.. However we liked our stay overall. Will revisit.

There is a great beach across the road, staff were great, it was really nice to have the pool. For the most part we had a nice 21 days there. Not the Hotels fault but the extremely annoying and loud bikes that show up at the bars / park across the street every Friday / Saturday / Sunday night till very very late at night revving their engines and doing burnouts. Not good for the Hotels business.

We needed a one-night stay before going to our timeshare property and were very happy with this choice. Clean, comfortable, convenient, nice staff, and a short walk to Surfside beach. And you get vouchers for lounge chairs and umbrella at Reflexions Beach Bar and Club, where you can get drinks and food and use the pool. The resort’s own pool area is attractive and serene. There’s a bar and a cafe on site. We had breakfast at the cafe. My husband’s made-to-order omelette was the best he’s ever eaten, he said. I don’t know if I should be annoyed by that 😆😏 but our compliments to the chef. My only complaint - and this is minor - is that when you buy ala carte instead of the buffet, you still have to serve yourself. You get your own coffee, no one refills it but you, you get your own forks and knives, you make your toast in that ever so slow toast rotisserie in a line of people making toast while our eggs get cold. You also get your own eggs from the buffet if you want scrambled. Go with the omelette and you’ll be happy.

This is a nice property with great location close to a beautiful beach Vouchers provided by hotel for beach lounges Good restaurant/bar at the the hotel and on the beach. Staff was friendly Room is outdated, there was a terrible smell from the drain in the bathroom. Pool was not clean and both jacuzzis were cold and didnt work,With extra efforts required to maintain and upgrade this place it could be a great hotel to stay

Una joya tradicional en el corazón de Aruba Nos hospedamos en el hotel Talk of the Town y fue una experiencia encantadora. El lugar tiene un encanto único que te transporta a otra época: sus arcos y arquitectura evocan una hermosa hacienda tradicional, y no es sorpresa, ya que según un amable taxista arubeño, fue uno de los primeros hoteles en la isla. La tranquilidad del lugar es inigualable. Nadie molesta, todo está impecablemente limpio y cuidado. Las habitaciones parecen pequeños apartamentos, muy bien equipados y cómodos. Aunque algunos detalles podrían beneficiarse de una leve remodelación, me encantó que se mantuviera ese estilo tradicional tan hermoso que lo hace único. Los empleados fueron siempre cálidos, atentos y hospitalarios, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Las terrazas son preciosas y perfectas para relajarse en total paz. Sin duda, este será nuevamente mi lugar de estadía cuando regrese a esta isla que robó mi corazón. ¡Gracias por tan linda experiencia!

Having a small coffee maker with cream and sugar would have been nice instead of going out of our room in the morning. Dining room opened too late for early risers. Our room was clean and housekeeping was great.

The room smelled bad. The bed skirt,the bed decor, and the walls were filthy dirty! We visited a week which included Easter weekend. The beaches were packed with the locals camping and partying on most of the beaches. The bar directly across from the hotel is where huge parties took place every night. Also, this hotel is on the main drag so it was very noisy! The hotel definately needs some upkeep repairs. The saving grace was that the food was good and the employees were very nice. We were very disappointed in Expedia's description of the place and didnt know why they would offer a stay here.

We booked a 7 night stay here from Friday to Friday as we had read good reviews on this place, but we were extremely disappointed from the first day as there was a strong smell of mould as soon as we entered the room! We thought it would go away but the next day we noticed a lot or mould especially inside the bathroom door. We called the manager who inspected the room and agreed there was mould. They told us they would give us another room so we packed up our things and waited for over an hour but no one came back to us. We decided to have lunch while we waited and sat in the dining area,but no one came to take our order either, so we left and went into town for lunch. We left our email and phone contacts so they could let us know when our new room was ready but no one contacted us! We got back up the hotel hours later and was given another ground floor unit right next to the main road,but it was so noisy we could not sleep! Both my husband and I had come down with a flu just before our trip and we could still smell mould in the new room which we felt was making us even sicker. Finally on Wednesday we decided to check out of the hotel and was told that we could not get any refund on the room. We booked the remaining 2 nights in another hotel and had to pay over $1,000.00 for the room, but it was worth it to have a clean room and finally enjoy a good nights sleep. That was our first and last time at TOTT as it was a horrible experience and we certainly will not be going back!

At 12:30am we could no longer take the chaos. There were loud motorcycles and cars revving engines. The parking lot across the street hosted parties for people tailgating past 1 am with loud partiers' and music, The police were called several times. We finally confronted hotel staff at 12:30am and realized the lobby was full of very unhappy guests with the same complaints. The staff proceeded to inform us that this is a problem they have constantly and are trying to pass an ordinance with the city. Why was this not in the top of the reviews and how was this hotel ranked an 8?! Additionally, there were dead roaches in the halls of the hotel wherever you walked!

La ubicación es buena la habitación tiene lo necesario, el servicio es básico, lo que sí deberían mejorar la limpieza, la sábanas llegaban con manchas. En el baño al final me faltó jabón y shampoo y al ingresar el papel que dejaron era uno usado y que estaba a la mitad.

Wanted to charge an extra $85 for two hours! Bed bugs. Room smelled like mold.

We really did want to like this property, but staying at Talk of the Town was a truly a horrible experience. The property itself was run down and eerily empty our entire stay (which we soon discovered why). The beach across the street was alright, but definitely small and not exactly somewhere to spend more than a hour or two. Our original room faced the main street where there was loud noise, blasting music, and cars revving their engines all night long. The last straw was that the next day we discovered MOLD in the room right near our beds, which the front desk receptionist then proceeded to tell us was a common occurrence in many of the rooms because of the humidity. The only thing I can compliment the property on was that they "upgraded" us to another room for the last night after we refused to stay in the original one, but beyond that there was no attempt to remedy our experience at all. Truly a horrible property all around from location to management to service. Would never recommend anyone to stay here when traveling in Aruba.

The room was extremely dirty and the shower was broken, I spoke to the person in front and they said someone will come and when I came back room was still dirty with dirty towel around the room

Convenient to the airport but quite noisy. The room had peeling paint. It is definitely an older hotel that is needs a refresh.

Ik heb een fijne tijd gehad in Talk of the Town hotel. Het is op loopafstand van het strand (2 minuten) en Oranjestad (15 min). En je bent ook zo bij de airport (5 min rijden). Er werd elke dag goed schoongemaakt en er was elke dag een lekker ontbijtbuffet. Ook een mooi zwembad. Het enige grote nadeel vind ik dat de airco op je kamer niet uit mag en dit kun je dus ook niet doen met de afstandsbediening. Als je het te koud vindt, moet je naar de receptie om te vragen of de airco warmer mag. Maar hij mag niet uit omdat er anders schimmel in de kamer komt. Zelf vind ik het niet fijn om met een airco aan te slapen, dus een optie dat de airco alleen overdag aan moet en in de nacht uit kan als je dat wil zou een verbetering zijn wat mij betreft. Maar verder helemaal prima.

Overall, a lovely place. Clean and staff was nice. Had a two bedroom unit. Two burner hot plate was kind of tight and took a while to heat up and no oven. Biggest issues: no hot water in kitchen and the wifi didn't quite reach the bedrooms (it worked fine in family room). Beach across the street and Reflexions restaurant on the beach was nice and not overly expensive. Running trail nearby but no workout room. I asked for a can opener and bigger coffee maker and they were provided quickly. Individual A/C in each room.

Property is a great location great beach restaurants across the street would book again . Only issue the two bedroom room had an ac in smaller room that didn't cool as good great as the primary room and didn't have its own remote had to switch back and forth between the rooms

It’s good but a little bit old.

Terribly noisy. Unfortunately, the hotel location stands on a noisy road, with locals parked across the road chatting through the night and listening to very loud music from their car's speakers (especially at weekends). We had booked a superior room that despite the space had no real superior feeling - pretty basic tbh. Sometimes we were handed out tired beach towels, faded colours, not fluffy. It is fair to say the hotel needs a revamp from top to bottom. Staff are nice and genuinely do what they can. The pool area is okay, a bit small so at busy periods it could be crowded and perhaps even not enough loungers for everyone (ps it was not the case for us as we travelled outside peak times).

Need improvement with the WiFi.

Overall decent place to stay. Front desk was helpful. Has a nice pool and also close to the beach. Only thing I didn’t like was they will charge you for needing to check in early or even a few minutes past the checkout time. I would think that a place that expensive and somewhat luxurious would have some wiggle room.

The hotel is small and easy to navigate. The best part of the trip were the 2 ladies in the bar area. Very friendly and service oriented. The downfall was housekeeping and management in general. Our entire stay we had do not disturb on our room door, yet, housekeeping entered our room to put towels in the bathroom. Nothing else done, just the towels. When i brought it to management, he was helpful but only said he would let housekeeping know about it. You want to know your secure when out of the room. It just raised a red flag. The in hotel convenience store listed hours of 8am-8pm but was rarely ever open and always closed by 5pm.They also had many interns working the front desk without supervision and not muck knowledge or know where to look for an answer. I can let that slide because we've all been at that point in our lives. When you book a hotel of this class, you really do get what you paid for. Atleast Aruba is checked from our bucket list.

Old property and the lady at the check in was very rude.

When I asked for mine receipt over the day a stay they won’t give me one. What kind of hotel does that?

We enjoyed our stay at talk of the town. Liz at the front desk was excellent, super helpful she gave us all the information for excursions and got us booked. The beach is across the street with a lot of dining options and great views and there is a marketplace a short walk down the road

The staff was very helpful and nice. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The hotel is walkable to several restaurants and downtown Aruba.

This property was everything i needed for my short weekend getaway. It's really close to the airport and right opposite the beach and great restaurants. The room was clean , the food was great and the staff were courteous and prompt to cater to all our needs. Would def stay here again!

Great Staff

Such a quaint Hotel, away from the high rises. The staff was very accomodating, helpful to answer all of our questions, and took time to make us feel like we were the only guests there for our week long stay.The staff would offer their honest opinion to us about activities and choices for dining. Eugene, Elizabeth, at the front desk, helped us out a great deal, explained things to our many questions. The room was comfortable, AC worked non stop, and we felt like we were home. We would definately rebook a stay here at Talk of the Town when we return to Aruba.

For one night it will do. The pool area is nice, the shower was warm, the room was cool, and the bed was comfortable. The staff are rude and don’t communicate. They just stare and wait for you to speak to them. The front desk woman didn’t greet/welcome me, she just asked for my passport. She don’t tell me anything about the hotel, where anything was in the area or anything. The rooms need major updating for the price. The sofa was dingy and stained. The toliet was broken but operable. There were no wash rags, just two dingy towels. The area is very close to restaurants and the beach across the street, but it’s full of locals and stray dogs. It doesn’t look too safe after dark. Definitely I’m leasing pictures. If you just need a place to sleep and won’t be in your room or the area it will get the job done.

This hotel was insanely loud. Our room was right next to a club and the room literally vibrated from the music. Also, the street noise was obnoxiously loud with cars and motorcycles revving all night. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep at all.

Great spot close to beach. We were here for Aruba day festivities and were right in the middle of a lot of events. Great restaurants close by on the beach. We walked into town along the beach. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Five min drive to airport. Small resort feeling. Stay here again

quite a decent hotel for that kind of money. good breakfasts, polite staff. Although 7 minutes from the airport, it was not noisy. 6 minutes walk to the beach. but we were not at the hotel from morning until evening, we rented a car and drove around all the beaches and attractions of this island.

If you enjoy loud music and motorcycles revving their engines in competition with each other (rev-off) from Thursday - Sunday night (9pm-midnight) from the parking lot across the street, this hotel is perfect for you; terrible for me, and all those I spoke to, for those 4 nights out of 7. Sadly, I was told this is the norm and there is nothing that can be done about it. I wish I knew. I asked to change rooms away from the street but my request was refused? although the hotel did not seem to be full at all. Bad customer service. Unfortunately, although the hotel is across the street from a fantastic beach, good food, and close to port/city centre (15 min. walk) and airport, the evening noise across the street in the parking lot ruined what was otherwise a fantastic and beautiful island trip. Highly recommend Aruba!! Suggestion: call the hotel and ask about the noise from Thursday to Sunday evenings to see if this has changed before you commit! If it wasn’t for the noise, I would not be writing this review.

It was a great stay. The staff was good to us. The rooms were good. The pool, the bar, the food was good. 15 min walk to the downtown area, surfside beach wasn,t bad at all... nice clear water... the bars around it wasnt bad either. Had a overall pleasant stay. Would come back whenever we visit Aruba again.

We enjoyed our visit, staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the breakfast cost for buffet 2 people $36 and it was nothing special. I think they should have coffee makers in the rooms.

This could be a really nice hotel if they did a little facelift. The staff is very friendly, but the concierge is useless. She doesn’t know what she’s doing and needs training because of her. We missed getting any kind of a tour in the morning and she didn’t even suggest that we stay there for dinner that we’d have to get a cab to go into Aruba to eat. We did stay there and eat at the restaurant and the food was pretty good. The breakfast is OK, but not great, but the rooms are quiet and the bed is comfortable.

Loved my stay here! Staff is friendly, helpful, cheerful. Breakfast was nummy with good variety. Bar has great drinks and bkfst/lunch/dinner- soo fresh and delicious. Across the street is beach access with many great dining options. Staff at ALL the beach restaurants are so happy to see you and the food is amazing. Shopping is just $10 taxi to downtown. If you want peaceful though-this is not the place for you. Airplanes flying over head, bars across the street-music blaring all night, and busy road with cars revving, screeching all day/night will prevent sleep-just bring ear plugs and you'll be fine. If you prefer room temp 60-65 degrees-this will be perfect for you. I repeatedly requested room thermostat be warmed and maybe they misunderstood-because each time I requested-the room got one degree colder so I stopped asking! I had to purchase sweat pants/shirt to sleep in stay warm in Aruba! So, noisy and cold, but the wonderful staff, great food and convenient location to dining and beach wins out I recommend!!!

Room was freezing!! Difficult to change temperature. No Kleenex. No face cloth. Limited charging options for electronics, one in bathroom. No hair conditioner or body lotion. Nice location and pool but probably won’t stay again. Breakfast Buffett was not good. Fruit was the best part.

The food, pool, and staff were amazing! It is super convenient to the airport, and the beach is located across the street. The front desk staff is very helpful in explaining how to get the beach chairs across the street. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the umbrellas were not included and were an extra charge. That was disappointing. Overall, it is an adorable little boutique hotel to stay in.
