I am not normally a review writer but I felt this one was warranted. The 2 star review is for the location alone. If you want to be close to dining, scenic views etc it’s a great spot. But the room was mildewed and the smell was overwhelming. There was a dehumidifier in the room and a strong air freshener that did not help. And on Saturday night the entryway turns into a club. So if you want to relax that’s a no in this spot. It’s a cute place but the smell was so bad and there was no one to address it with. It’s a negative for me all around

Room was good. Humid and kind of smelly. Carpet and bathroom a bit dirty but overall easy stay. Saturday night the restaurant downstairs turned into a night club so was kind of noisy after 10:30pm. Not sure if I would stay on the weekend again.

Room was comfortable and clean except for the dirty sheet left on the sofa bed.We arrived late and parking was a nightmare to find with no pull up. Access is through a nightclub bar so very confusing and the bouncer was unfriendly and hostile. There was a party in the room next door that went on til the morning so not very peaceful. Neighborhood was sketchy… 4 police cars at the gas station the first night. A couple hogged the pool the next night and looked like they were having sex. Door access is inaccurate. You need to state that the code provided should be followed by a tick sign. The star does not work and there is no hashtag. Would not recommend to families. If you are there to party it’s probably okay but otherwise I would steer clear.

I found a condom wrapper behind the dresser, the shower head wasn’t completely on so the water shot everywhere. The pool stopped working and was dirty I asked them to come fix it and nobody did so I couldn’t use the pool at all my entire stay which sucked!!! I also couldn’t get in and out of the hotel due to technical issues with my code. Staff tried to help but there was too many problems for my liking. Oh and they don’t clean your room until you leave which is pretty ridiculous to me.

Room was small but comfortable and very clean. Very quiet neighborhood, two blocks from the beach. Our only complaint was the A/C was set too cold (64 deg!) and no matter what we did with the thermostat, the temperature stayed the same. We notified the property manager and were told that maintenance would look into the problem, however, it wasn’t fixed during our stay.

Upon entering our room, we weren’t very pleased. The bathroom was not clean and the hot water took at least 10 minutes to warm and it still was not hot. Our tv did not work/turn on. We had an issue with the safe in our room and we were told that someone would come help us at 10 am the next morning. They did not come until 2 hours later. Checkout was at 11 am.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of South Miami Beach. Online check-in and check-out is great option, but I would love to have more human touch to this visit. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazing, clean pool. Very spacious and clean room. Hotel smelled amazing, and even though it’s under renovation it didn’t bother us during the stay. We always travel on budget and this was the best budget friendly stay in South Miami Beach. Highly recommended if you travel with kids.

The room was small, but comfortable! We were just a little bamboozled when we found that our window looked into another room with inoperable blinds so it was dark even during the day. Threw us off in the morning. There was also a lot of construction going on including painters in the hallway that we had to navigate around. Also construction on the street. But the staff was very nice and the check in / check out process is all digital and super easy!

Loved the property! I had a two bedroom and one room had an en-suite. The living room had sliding doors that lead to the pool. Both bathrooms had stand up showers no tub. The “kitchen” area has a mini fridge, a microwave, and a toaster, utensils and plates/cups. It’s walking distance from the infamous Collins Avenue and south beach. Right down the block from stk and walgreens.

There are no personnel onsite regularly, so when there is an issue, you have to depend upon text messaging for any assistance. Overall the location is acceptable and reasonable for the location. We would stay there again.

There is an app to self-check in. My room was switched last minute but passcode was not updated; thankfully a staff member was able to assist and contacted the app service to change the passcode. Without him, I was surely locked out with bags in hand. Otherwise, the facility and room is clean. There is an air of humidity in the room, but the AC runs cold. Bed is comfortable. There is no room service.

This hotel was a last minute decision and I don’t regret it. It was in a very quiet secluded area. The staff were very helpful. I found it a bit different because it’s not a person on site at all times, but they are very responsive via text and I found it nice because I didn’t have to actually TALK to someone every time.

We only stayed 1 night but would totally book this hotel again. It’s such cute, clean, little boutique hotel. It’s clearly going thru a remodel but it’s still beautiful. The only thing I can say negative was I wish my shower was hotter the first night (but it was nice and hot the next morning), and the street noise. But it’s a nice neighborhood so it wasn’t awful. The staff we did see was VERY nice. He showed us to the room and helped us navigate the check in due to their being no front desk. When I needed to get in touch with someone the text option was awesome and I always received a quick response. All in all this cutie is a 10/10. Would definitely recommend.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of South Miami Beach. Online check-in and check-out is great option, but I would love to have more human touch to this visit. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazing, clean pool. Very spacious and clean room. Hotel smelled amazing, and even though it’s under renovation it didn’t bother us during the stay. We always travel on budget and this was the best budget friendly stay in South Miami Beach. Highly recommended if you travel with kids.

We just stayed at the Daydrift. While I understand people’s reviews, I’ll keep it unbiased. The property is obviously taking guests while they are finishing up their extensive renovation. Pros: The parking garage across is the cheapest in the city for a day rate, and you’re two blocks away from the amazing W beach block. There is a nice park to take your dogs. The decor style is amazing, and the rooftop is a perfect place to relax, maybe get some content etc. There’s also a gas station on the corner with an authentic little cafe with empanadas, Latin pastries, coffees etc but also tons of walkable dinner places, cafes and more Cons: Just going through renovations. Once the property is done this will be an amazing small little boutique hotel nested away in a residential quiet and safe neighborhood on the beach side. With parking convenience

Room was small but comfortable and very clean. Very quiet neighborhood, two blocks from the beach. Our only complaint was the A/C was set too cold (64 deg!) and no matter what we did with the thermostat, the temperature stayed the same. We notified the property manager and were told that maintenance would look into the problem, however, it wasn’t fixed during our stay.

Hello! I loved my stay at The Daydrift. Great option for a quick trip to South Beach. Beach access is important to me, accessibility to restaurants and everything Collins Ave. has to offer. Convenient location, clean rooms, quiet lobby and hallways, great for my short and fun trip!

Easy access to beach. Property was clean and well maintained, except the renovations but if renovations weren’t being done I’m sure the property would be much cleaner. Gas station access was clutch. I enjoyed my stay and this property will be my go to whenever I visit for vacation.

Loved the property! I had a two bedroom and one room had an en-suite. The living room had sliding doors that lead to the pool. Both bathrooms had stand up showers no tub. The “kitchen” area has a mini fridge, a microwave, and a toaster, utensils and plates/cups. It’s walking distance from the infamous Collins Avenue and south beach. Right down the block from stk and walgreens.

We recently stayed at The Daydrift and had a great time! Even though we never saw any staff and weren’t quite sure when the coffee bar was open, the overall experience was still enjoyable. The location is super walkable to the beach, and our two-bedroom suite was perfect for four adults. We especially loved that our doors opened right onto the pool deck—such a nice touch for a relaxing stay.

I understand there were still construction in progress but, no eating facility available. My initial room was dark with no window lighting and the TV was not operational. I got a room that was somewhat better but there was still no window lighting. I felt like I could’ve been accommodated better since it was my BD.

There is an app to self-check in. My room was switched last minute but passcode was not updated; thankfully a staff member was able to assist and contacted the app service to change the passcode. Without him, I was surely locked out with bags in hand. Otherwise, the facility and room is clean. There is an air of humidity in the room, but the AC runs cold. Bed is comfortable. There is no room service.

Not as advertised. No breakfast, no housekeeping, no turndown service, no swimming pool. Some of the photos are not even of this hotel! The “swimming pool” is a cold spa. There is zero housekeeping, no matter how long you stay. They will exchange towels, but you must ask each day and even then it is hit or miss. All of the food machines shown in the lobby have been torn out. There is no room for your laptop on the “desk”. The toilet paper is the thinnest, cheapest I have ever seen. Just not what is illustrated or advertised.

My stay was quite comfortable. The only issue I had with this place was at check-in. There was no physical person to check us in. They leave a QR code for you to scan but we were having issues with that. Someone did come eventually to help us out. But it was a bit frustrating to start the trip off.

The host failed to clearly disclose several important rules before our stay, including the presence of 24/7 surveillance, which made us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, on our second night, another guest was checked into the room next to ours, which was unexpected and not communicated in advance. The cleanliness was also below expectations. We found bug spray left on the counter, and during our stay we encountered and killed several ants and other bugs. There was also no parking, when that was not mentioned.
