Hotel was conveniently located across the street from the beach. You could see the ocean from the rooftop. No parking but Ubers were readily available within minutes. Literally less than a minute. Happy Hour was free for an hour everyday which was amazing. Just wish complimentary breakfast was for everyone

Everything is excellent there. This was my second stay there, back after a years, and it was better than remembering it. I am travelling a lot, 50 days per year sleeping in various hotels - and Croydon is the best considering what you pay for and what you receive. Great room, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, room size accurate with all you need. Rooftop area and swimming pool are amazing. Close to beach, which was really nice, clean sea, white sand. Happy hours free coctails starting the evening. Tavern, the restaurant there, serving a tasty food and very nice staff - also the staff in hotel was very nice. Breakfast was much better than american standard is. Simply, all was great, next year if I come to Miami beach I will not search anything else - I will be back in Croydon.

Loved this hotel! It has a swimming pool, great food at the tavern, friendly staff, free beach towels and water, rooftop terraces with excellent views, small gym, yoga space, comfortable beds and a great shower! Just one street back from the amazing beach and boardwalk.

The room was clean and adequate for the 3 of us. It was a shame there weren’t more facilities to the room (eg: tea and coffee making) and the pool was absolutely freezing cold so we couldn’t use it. There’s no parking at the hotel and whilst this was clearly stated, if you haven’t been to Miami Beach before, you won’t realise how important it is to have parking! The free Trolley Bus stops right outside, which is great, but having now been to Miami Beach, I would have just stayed in South Beacj as the facilities around the hotel in terms of restaurants etc. are very limited. The immediate area is a little run down just outside the hotel. But it was pretty quiet. Good for a quick stop if you don’t bring.a car and don’t mind using the trolley bus each day to get to the better areas.

All the staff were very friendly. The email I received prior to arrival directed me to two public parking lots that were only for 4 hours which was frustrating considering all the traffic. We walked to the hotel to ask where we can park for the entire time of our stay. We had to drive 4 tenths of a mile which took us 40 minutes with traffic. Very disappointing. Then we had to carry our luggage back to the hotel. The restaurant and bar had great food. Hotel rooms are very small. The location was very close to the beach boardwalk.

Negatives: - No AC running upon entering hotel room. - Got placed right next to an elevator, despite it being off-season and half empty hotet. - Non-working pool filters, hair clots and debris floating around the pool (not a little but ALOT). - Noisy neighbors both nights around 1AM - Leaking ceiling outside room, which required a repair job all morning one day (lot of power tools). - Room keys that stop working just one day into the stay - Evacuation Alarm at 1AM in the morning, with no reason explained on why nor any apology from the hotel staff. - Offered a partial refund for our stay upon checking out, only to be an empty lie from the hotel front desk and not honored. Positive: - Proximity to beach and ocean. - Decent food at Tavern Bar.

Excellent boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Very nice decor. Rooms very well decorated and spotlessly clean. For me the mattress was too soft and pillows need upgrading. Apart from that we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend the Croydon !

We really liked our stay. The personal is very nice and helpful. The only thing is that the WiFi is not very good, I had to work some days and it was an issue sometimes. Other than that the hotel is excellent, it has a very convenient restaurant/bar with happy hour. We had a nice stay for the price and location.

I searched online for a hotel and I chose Hotel Croyden because of the bathroom! And I wasn’t disappointed. The size of the bathroom is spacious unlike some other boutique hotels where the tiny sink is in the bedroom and the toilet and shower are in a closet-size space. The only thing is that the water pressure is horrible. The water comes out in a trickle and that was disappointing. But other than that the room was beautiful. It was large, we had two queen beds. From looking at other hotel rooms on South Beach this is a luxury. The hotel did not smell musty or like mildew. The restaurant in the hotel is good as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall i enjoyed my stay at hotel Croydon. It was good for the price and in a quiet location. You can definitely hear everything in the hallways when in the room but i can’t complain. If i stayed in Miami Beach i would choose hotel Croydon. The Tavern was pretty convenient and food was good.

While I greatly appreciated the affordable price and location of this property (steps from the beach), I was very underwhelmed by my room. The photos listed are misleading and not accurate. I booked a queen room and the description says each room has a desk, mine did not. The photos looked very spacious and my room felt cramped. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was for the room’s appearance/amenities so I was a little disappointed upon arrival (As was another guest, who I overheard complaining to the staff). The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food at the Tavern was great. My suggestion would to be more upfront about the room sizes and offerings.

It was ok, the room was good size but the furniture is better suited for staging than usage. I like nightstands with substantial space for items; phone, portable speaker, CPAP, magazine, watch, etc. the nightstands here offer little space for anything larger than a champagne flute. The on/off switch for the nightstand lights requires contortioning of the body to reach the switch, small details like this say volumes about the actual level of care the interior designers put into the user experience.

* Key cards got deactivated at least 4 times regardless of where we stored them * Rooms only come with two towels - we had to ask multiple times for more towels until they came up (prob waited 45 minutes) and when the person came up with towels he would not stop looking my friend up and down in her pajamas and laughing repeatedly without saying anything else * They have a weird policy where if you get makeup or blood on towels it’s considered “damages” - super weird considering both of those come out in the wash and it seems weirdly targeted towards women * They don’t have space to hold luggage after checkout and that wasn’t clear from the booking - wasn’t notified of this until the day before we arrive when it was too late to cancel. However, saw other people storing luggage on Sunday of our stay even though they told us they could not store luggage. * Both the faucet and shower leaked, the handle for the shower came off in my hand once.

It’s a good hotel with reasonable fares located in a nice area of Miami Beach, few steps away from the beach. The overall service however is very poor and staff don’t seem to care. Our room was not made up on Sunday and instead of apologising we were told that we did not put out a sign requesting room service which doesn’t make sense. Very disappointing. Coffe in the morning came without coffee creamers and I was told there was no more. Ridiculous. Also elevator is very slow. I had to take the stairs to go up and down to the room

I can't express how much I loved this hotel! It was the first time I stayed at a boutique hotel which offered everything that a resort hotel has! The staff was professional and very friendly! The manager Carlos was amazing! He totally went out of his way to make sure our trip was the best ever! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Miami. I can't wait to come back

Loved the excellent services I received from all the staff, especially the front desk. On departure day, our flight was not until late that evening, nevertheless they offered use of Hotel and ground facilities at no additional cost. When on a budget, that is the sort of service that is so valued, especially when travelling with two teenage girls. Loved the location and close proximity to the beach, just across the street. They are very helpful with beach towels as well. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, with great washrooms. The girls really loved that. Hotel Croydon has a great onsite restaurant, The Tavern, with a great menu that will not break your budget. We had dinner there 4 times, and the waiters were the best. It offers live music, which is a definite plus. That Restaurant is always full, which says it all really. The housekeeping staff was also very warm and accommodating. The gentleman who helped with the suitcases, etc., was extremely polite and generous with his time. I cannot say enough about this lovely Boutique Hotel. Thanks to everyone there who helped make our stay in Miami a very memorable one. Diane from Canada

Never staying at Hotel Croydon again. Our room’s A/C was broken and replaced with a noisy portable unit that barely cooled to 80–82°F. The hotel claimed it was sold out and we couldn’t move rooms without manager approval—yet the manager was off until the next morning. Reviews from other guests show this is a recurring problem. I couldn’t sleep, my wife couldn’t sleep, and it’s hard to believe this is acceptable. Apologies instead of solutions—completely unacceptable.

Rooftop was amazing with a great view. housekeeping was very prompt. Front desk was outstanding and friendly. One problem with our stay we had was Thursday night we got back and when we tried our room keys they didn’t work. No big deal we just went back down to the front desk to ask for new keys. Front desk was very accommodating however it was a little concerning that they did not ask for any form of identification to know it was actually are room. A little shocking to know that anyone could ask for keys to our room and get in with no questioning of identification or anything. Other than that concerning incident, everything else with our stay was fantastic!! Restaurant had amazing food too!!

This place is amazing. We stumbled upon it scrolling through hotels. So glad we did. All the staff from the front desk to house keeping to all employees at their restaurant “The Tavern”. If you go make sure you ask for Payton or Robert behind the bar. The management there is wonderful. Maria is the GM and she deserves more than 5 stars. Then the other manager Marcos was awesome. If there was more than 5 stars I would give it in all aspects. I will definitely make this my hotel choice any time I’m in Miami. So much better than the larger $500-$600 dollar a night hotels on South Beach

We originally booked another hotel during this trip but it was awful. Finally found Hotel Croydon and booked based on the reviews. We were NOT disappointed. Perfect location (steps to the beach). Clean room, friendly service and great ambience. Extremely reasonable price, especially compared to the other hotels in the area with similar amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

Censored TV. If I had known this before arrival, I would not have stayed there. TV had many 1950& 60's Black and white re-runs and did not carry the number 1 rated news show in the U.S. Management tells me that there are many complaints about this. It is very un-American to censure news. The restaurant look svery nice bu the food is average and the service is SLOW. It took 2 hours to order and eat. Tried to order food on the way back to the hotel after a long day of business meetings, so I could take it to my room on arrival They do not have a call in number for such orders! Cute looking hotel BUT no parking and terrible restaurant, censored TV politically motivated. You have much better choices in the area.

This hotel has good food through The Tavern restaurant and the pool area is super relaxing. The room was spacious, but not the most sound proof. For the price and location it’s pretty decent and excellent location for walking to the beach!! DO NOT book a massage at this facility. It’s through a separate company and they no showed without an explanation. That was a huge let down but it’s not apart of the hotel management. The hotel staff was great and very helpful which help bump this up to a good stay at the Hotel Croydon.
