I booked the Grand Beach Hotel Miami Beach for my mom’s birthday, hoping for a relaxing, special weekend, but unfortunately the stay was disappointing. The hotel listing mentioned a spa, which was a big reason I chose it, but there isn’t an actual spa on-site. Instead, they offer “spa services” in your room or poolside, which didn’t feel private or relaxing at all. Several amenities included in the resort fee were also not working properly. None of the four Jacuzzis had functioning jets, so they were basically just hot baths, and only two of the pools were slightly heated. The adults-only pool area had no attendants, towels, or water available, and the Jacuzzis there were dirty. Both of our rooms had very loud AC units, mine sounded like an airplane taking off every few minutes, making it almost impossible to sleep. I had to use cotton in my ears the second night just to get some rest. Overall, I expected a peaceful and comfortable experience, but instead, it felt neglected and far from what was advertised. I hope management addresses these issues and updates the hotel description to be more accurate for future guests.

It was a BIT family/kid intensive in the pool, but not overwhelming, and they made up for it by having a bar right there!!! Very clean, smelled great when you walked in and had complimentary exercise classes in the morning which were incredible, with GREAT instructors!

The rooms and pool area and gym are all great - no complaints. The only snag is the elevators - always one or two out of service. And staff constantly use the guest elevators ( presumably the one service elevator too slow). Net result is a lot of waiting - and on holiday, time is precious.

The Grand Beach is a great mid-beach hotel with a nice pool and beach area. The $60/day resort fee is steep, but not uncommon in Miami unfortunately. The hotel is clean and very well maintained and the staff is awesome.

The hotel is very nice with large, modern rooms. I really like that they were able to accommodate my party and place us in connecting rooms without any additional costs. The hotel is very modern and cute. Perfect for a girls trip with over 2 pools and 3 hot tub areas. The area that the hotel is located in is mid beach and it was very affordable to take Lyfts/Ubers down to Brickell, Wynwood and South Beach. I would highly recommend.

We paid for the nicest suite in the hotel. When we checked in, our room was made up but filthy. The floor was sticky on our feet in every room. The coffee table was also sticky on almost every surface. There was food under the desk and sticky drink rings on a shelf from the previous occupants. The staff other than the front desk was kind and welcoming. The front desk was dismissive. We asked for our room to be cleaned again. When they told us it was clean after a two hour wait, it was still sticky, there was still food, and the drink rings remained. We took pictures and spoke with the manager. This time a very nice lady came and had to scrub the floor manually to clean it because whatever they were using wasn’t actually cleaning the floors. She was still cleaning when we went out to dinner. When we got back from dinner, the food was still under the desk and the rings were still there. We had to get the house cleaning manager to come completely clean the room. This is not what I would expect for a room that cost more than $1,000 per night. We were promised that our resort fees (about $60 a night) would be taken off the bill, but I had to argue for it when our stay was up. This used to be a great hotel. We wont stay there again.

The towels were super dirty. Sink was clogged- they came to “fix” it, but it remained clogged. There was no hot water, only cold water, so I had to transfer to a different room, which was dirty too. Towels are all dirty. I went downstairs to speak with the “manager” who has no managerial skills. She said she needed to speak with her supervisor and call me back, and she never did. I woke up today and my skin was broken out and either from bug bites or something from the super old and dirty towels!

This was our second stay here. The rooms and bathrooms weren't clean, floors were dirty. Both bathrooms had plumbing issues with running toilets, broken shower heads, clogged drains. Common areas were really nice, restaurant and service was good!

Food was very good, great location but room wasn’t very clean floors were dirty with crumbs and sand had hair all over the room, futon coach was stained witg either good or old puke couldn’t tell also found a dirty spoon in on of the closets. The TVs in the rooms are older they do not have the options to stream any apps.

Suite, 1 King Bed, Partial Ocean View The property is beautiful. The room was beautiful to the eye. It wasn’t very clean. There was hair / dirt in the tub from the previous guest. 1 of the towels had stains that looked like old blood. The shower head didn’t have the best water pressure but it was tolerable. That was the only negative to the actual room. The room was very spacious and had a living room and balcony with patio furniture. There were 2 bathrooms so that was an extra benefit. There are some toiletries provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, sewing kit). A section of the sink had multi toiletries like hair ties, makeup remover, and face masks at a price. The refrigerator items were at a price. 1 bottle of water cost $8 so just stop at the CVS down the street to stock your fridge with drinks for your stay. It’s cheaper that way. The adult only pool was a great space on the 7th floor with cabanas but there was zero shade options. It was over 100 degrees, shade was necessary. Property should add umbrellas or something over the top of some cabanas for some shade. We had to use the family/kids pools outside on the ground level bc it had plenty of shade. Private beach entrance with towels, chairs, and umbrellas included- no additional charge. They were of great value and super cute.

Let me first say that the employees/staff are amazing here! Very helpful and the housekeepers in particular seem very eager to please. The location is good and the food both at the hotel and nearby is excellent. The negatives however, probably outweigh the pluses. It’s very expensive for what is truly an “average” hotel. For example, the interior of the room is “rode hard” and dated. The beds are uncomfortable. The towels were all old and stained. The walls are paper thin and you hear everything in the hallways. Even the elevators are old and actually broke on us during our stay. We had to call for help and never received any help. I had to pry the door open to get out in between floors. It was actually quite scary. Finally, I only had a couple drinks while there but the beverages, particularly the frozen drinks, were awful - and at $20/each, they should be pretty good! I rated the staff a “10” for being so pleasant and overall accommodating, but the hotel itself, a 5 at best. For $700/night, I expected much better! In their defense, I am used to staying at a Ritz or the like when I vacay; but I use Marriott’s when I travel for work and I personally believe that a Marriott Courtyard or similar is much better overall. I would not return to this hotel again, unfortunately, even though I hate to say this because again, I liked the staff so much.

Overall the Grand Beach is a nice hotel. We booked the Ocean Front Suite. The room is spacious and the view is nice but the bathroom is a joke. Everything about it is small. In all my world trips, I have never had a sink like the one in the Grand Beach. The bowl is slightly larger than a cereal bowl.

This stay at the Grand Beach was disappointing. Our floor and many other areas smelled of weed every day. People slammed doors and had kids shouting for hours. As for the hotel itself, the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The valet staff could take a lesson from them—very stoic. Not one smile. Bar service on the beach was great. The room needs work. We had constant noise from the street despite being on the 14th floor. Glass should be soundproofed. The bathroom looked like something out of a two star hotel. No drain plugs in tub or sink. Loose plumbing fixtures and toilet seat. The couch in the room was stained and should be cleaned or replaced. Houskeeping was difficult. We didn’t receive what we thought was the correct number of bath towels (2), hand towels (1), wash cloths (0), so we asked the maid working the floor. She told us we had ro make a formal request which surprised us. The person at housekeeping also said she was surprised and had more items brought to us. That was great. The problem was we had the same issue every day. We gave up. We previously stayed at this hotel and were very happy with all facets. Not this time. I would not rate this location as a four star hotel based on my experience. At best a three star. There are a lot of nice things about it, but they need to up their game on room quality as well as the other issues mentioned. I have stayed at a two star hotel recently with better room and housekeeping service.

The property needs room upgrades, for what you’re paying it should be worth the stay. Meaning the bathroom and AC (it stopped working), they repaired it fairly quickly. Location is a bit far from the active areas, getting Ubers was fairly easy. The staff were great and friendly all around.

I liked the availability of 2 bedrooms. I didn't like that one of the bedrooms had no door. When you book a 2 bedroom, it's because you want private space. Everything else was perfect. Two bathrooms was great. The view of the beach and pool from my room was great.

The property is beautiful. Our room was great. It had two beds in it and it was plenty of room for everything. We slept really well. I would say that it’s a little noisy. We had adjoining room next to us. When we shut the door. There was kind of a crack in the door so you could see out to the hallway, but overall it was a good experience. We never received our free bottle of wine and when I went to ask the person at the front desk, she said it was delivered, but we never received it which is fine but then give us two free drinks or something.

room not properly cleaned (someone’s leftover food, baby bottles, dirty floor, 2 old towels for 4 people, no bedding for sofa bed) started by requesting the food picked up and additional towels/bedding brought up). took hours and hours. around 11:00 someone came with a couple sheets. then had to request pillows etc. can’t call front desk no one picks up. had to go down many times only to be told they would take care of it. 5 other guests complaining at same time. this place is very tired and so poorly managed. shame, had stayed before and although some issues able to overlook as it’s a unique hotel. not now - stay away!

The Grand Beach Hotel at Miami Beach was an excellent stay. Beautiful hotel with lots of beach chairs and umbrellas and easy short walk to beach. Beach staff so accommodating. Everyone at hotel friendly and helpful. Room was nice and comfortable. Pool area very nice..hammocks and lots of pool chairs. All chairs at pool and beach have padded chair covers..so comfortable! Everything was in pink. So cute. Indoor/outdoor sitting area for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You can get free trolly in front of hotel to get to popular Lincoln Road Mall area and other areas or the city bus for a small charge…a couple of dollars. I will definitely stay here again!

Worse customer service I had ever experienced . My reservation included two bottles of wine and never received, when I asked the front desk representative gave me an attitude. Elevators weren’t working, I stayed with my family on the 14 floor and had to use the stairs with my luggage and children. The fridge in my room wasn’t working. Valet parking guy had a terrible attitude. Complete disappointment.

Stuff wasn’t really friendly, they also told me when I checked in that someone was going to bring my luggage to my room waited for more than 40 mins no one showed up. On my last day there the elevators broke only one was working and took forever to be able to use it I was on the 16th floor so that was kind of disappointing.

Awful service. Novbody to talk to. Whatever I rightfully asked for I didn’t get when I was told that I will. The manager lied again and again cuz she wanted to protect her negligence. Very not professional. They pretend to be nice, but that’s where it ended. No service at all! That’s all on top of my room not being ready at check in time. Needed to wait 1:45 hours (till 5:45pm) to check in. Shame on them!

Had an excellent experience ! The Front desk manager, Baverly, was on top of her game to make sure all was okay… Shout out to Sam and Wendy from the restaurant Chez Gaston who were very accommodating and friendly. I have to admit I was a little leary about staying on the property since some reviews were negative. But as a previous guest who stayed here many times before covid I’d figure I’d give it another shot and I am sooooo glad that I did… looking forward for my next trip!!!

Staff was lovely and quick to serve at check in and check out. The hotel beds were clean with high quality sheets and pillows. Small boutique hotel so you can quickly get to the lobby and pool. the only thing i had an issue with-is that the hotel is approx 1.5 km to a walgreen or any type of gas station or convenience stores or restaurants and so food in the hotel is very expensive (specifically the coffee shop, where a lackluster cappuccino is $7 and all salads are above $20. Overall fantastic hotel, beautiful stretch of beach away from the messy south beach mayhem. Walking distance into south beach is approx 30 mins

Parking, only valet, $49 per day. But the rooms are spacious, staff are wonderful, the beach access is amazing.. Condition of some rooms is old, flooring is damaged, smell of like mold.. Overall, good value, but not excellent.

The property itself is good with beachfront access, great views, and spacious suite. Restaurant was not good— indoor seating was the most uncomfortable (hurt my back for a week) and staff talking loudly while we’re trying to eat. Food was way overpriced for what was presented/ offered and quality and taste were disappointing. By far the worst dining experience at any hotel. Was hoping to be able to enjoy food on property as the hotel itself is 15 mins away from most restaurants by car. So tried to order breakfast quick snack items online— hotel would charge for these items as they came in packages. Front desk was not accommodating for the poor dining circumstances. Front desk staff was rude and not hospitable, unprofessional in demeanor in speaking with guests— professional training of staff seems necessary. The cleaning crew on the contrary was kind and amiable. Overall, property offers convenient beach access and sleeping arrangements— however, dining and service need to improve.

Unfortunately we had some issues with service - provided only 2 new clean towels daily for a suite room with 4 girls and waited over an hour for them to arrive, tvs did not have streaming and live channels constantly glitched, one elevator was down and elevators were slow, lunch at the restaurant by the pool took over an hour for us to get our salads! I know these experiences may be bad luck, but it really dampened our stay which is so sad because the hotel was aesthetically so cute for a girls trip!

Absolutely amazing hotel with amazing staff. The pools were great and the bars and restaurants even better. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Definitely our go to place for Miami Beach! And 2 bathrooms in the balcony suites was a nice touch!
