Overall this location is decent. Rooms kind of small with no closets. But for rate for the holidays was worth it. Has a new elevator and hotel looks fully renovated. The bathrooms and showers are nice also has a mini fridge. Also the lower level has a microwave and vending machines as well a coffee/ hot chocolate machine. Near by have McDonalds and few restaurants. Also you can use 3rd party apps ex: uber eats, DoorDash. Had a rental, but I was familiar with the neighborhood, the hotel doesn’t have parking. Only street parking. Have local bodegas near by if you want to get drinks and snacks. They have j and m train walking distance if you rather use public transportation (Mta) to save money. One thing the hotel is right to the train. The train only last a few seconds for the noise.

I booked room here for 2 days, but I have decided to find something else for the next night, bcoz this property is next to railroad. It is so noisy. They don't have parking space on site. So I found it inconvenient as I had to park it far and have to walk with all my luggage bags. I won't recommend to stay for at least one day here.

Room was comfy and clean. Space enough for a fridge, 2 full sized beds, a table, bathroom w/shower. Breakfast is available but it's a sack breakfast not the regular breakfast setup. The beverage machine is broke, so no coffee or juices. There's a microwave and ice/water cooler in the breakfast area. This hotel is located next to the train line, so be prepared to deal with the noise if you're a light sleeper. Disappointed in other guests having no regard for others by smoking Marijuana in their rooms. The guest next to my room smoked all day and night, and the smell and smoke permeated my room via the bathroom vent. I woke up in the middle of the night, choking and coughing the first night and another night when i forgot to turn on the bathroom ventilation. I guess this is a normal thing because the entire hotel including the elevators was permeated by the scent of weed. It'd be nice if the hotel management would regulate that. Otherwise, it was a decent stay, staff were courteous and helpful.

Nice hotel, wrong location. The area outside felt unsafe abd there was no parking, you have to park on the road side plus its right beside the train track. There was always someone arguing in the hall, it seems like a ghetto hotel. However inside was clean, the rooms are also a little small

Clean room. Front desk guy was very nice. Only thing they don’t have a parking lot. Street parking was not easy to find.

That is no parking around the hotel, we need to park on the street, and that is a sign “no parking between 8am - 9:30am

When I saw the pics of this property, I was like looking good but when I got there, it was horrible. The rooms were dirty, lots of cockroaches, it had a terrible scent and the surrounding areas was like a dump. I in my right mind cannot recommend there for anyone to stay.

Checked in but had to check out almost immediately due to the fact the Room was extremely dirty There were stains on the bed sheets, chair, and floor. In addition mold was present in the air conditioning vents I contacted Expedia to see about a possible refund and did get one. They got in contact with Jay at the front desk and he honored the refund without any hesitation which I appreciated

The hair dryer didn’t work in the room. The room smelled absolutely horrific. I couldn’t figure out where the smell is coming from. It’s strange, but the walls in the room were filthy. I don’t think they’ve ever been wiped down or cleaned. I didn’t mind the area outside. Parking was a challenge but I found a place to park every night The shower was hot, clean towels every day. Coffee maker function TV was very limited difficult to get to work.

There was a bed bug infestation

The front desk clerks were nice but upon checking the room, the bed sheets had some unusual stains and there was garbage from a previous stay under the bed

I would say it is around the edges that are not clean. The lobby is a little rough. The elevators had gunk in the corners. The rooms were clean.

Wifi inutilizable, baja señal se desconectaba casi siempre. Me toco habitación muy ruidosa, el tren pasando a metros de la ventana. La limpieza no muy buena y no se con que criterio a veces limpiaban y otras no.

staff was very kind but damn was the room dirty, other customers hair in the bed, yellow stains on the blankets, air conditioner smelled awful, empty soap bottles in the shower, you get what you pay for.

The linens seemed ok, but everything else was gross; the walls, doors and floors. Plus there was a smell that I couldn’t locate. Pretty sure it was the air conditioner; but obviously a different part than the screens that I cleaned. (Pictured below)

I only booked it for the sleep. Everything was okay but a few minor things: I got double bed but one of it was broken it wasnt that comfortable the spring was sucken it! There was no closet to put our clothes and stuff. The bathroom was okay and there was no holder of the soap in the shower. I didnt get hot water for the 3 nights. Overall the place was good. Subway is nearby and good place to eat around. I would recommend to go again just for a night or 2.

The room was clean and in very good shape. The bed was great. The sink was cliogged. Where to hang the cloth is missing. Wifi was not possible in the room but can be used outside the room. Train railroad is next below the windowm the early morning staff was very good.

My partner and I stayed for one night, and for us is was okay. If you are a light sleeper may not be the best choice cause you literally are next to the train track. The room was clean though with adequate amenities in the bathroom.There was a fridge in the room as well as a coffee maker but a microwave downstairs if you needed to reheat food. The television in the room is a smart tv however it’s stuck in local tv because that’s all the remote allows you to access.We didn’t have breakfast so can’t really speak on that but for us it was a nice enough space for a bone or two night stay.

Quick 1 night stay, the bed was not comfortable at all. The was hair on the table wrapped around the phone cord, I could not avoid rolling to the middle of the bed, the universal remote did not work, the bathroom was beautiful, and the staff was nice

Something to hang clothes on would have been a good addition for basic rooms.

Property had no closets to store our clothes, no table to dine on, our room had no wifi. Some hairs found on bed when checked in. The tv had no remote. And our room was beside the train tracks, so we would hear the train every 20 mins. Staff was nice and offered to switch rooms but was inconvenient for us.

Room was small but ok. No closet. No chair for the desk. Convenient location for this weekend.

The bed had no sheet, only a comforter. There was no dresser, no closet, no lamps, no soap dish in the showner. You could see the hallway light under the door. You hear others snoring in their rooms.

The mattresses need to be replaced. Slept a whole night with half the mattress sunken in and the other half spring is digging in my back.. the room is so noisy. You can hear every single thing in the hallway and the train is right outside your window. The hallway is all smell like weed.

There was a stain on our sheets and we didn’t have enough towels but they told us to get the sheets and towels ourselves. They never picked up our trash so it accumulated over 5 days. They cleaned our restroom one time but while we were sleeping in the room.

There was a stranger knocking the door in the mid night so i tried to call the front desk but the room’s phone is unavailable I texted to the number with which I got a text message “plz text us if there is problem” when checking in but I didn’t get the answer. I cannot get asleep

Upon Check in, there was a fight going on with (5) other guest. I was told to come back in 30 min to check in when it was extremely hot outside and I had no where to go. I had to beg to be checked in so I could go directly to my room. Upon getting in my room, there was no remote for the television and no closets or hooks in the room to hang my dresses or for my husband to hand his suit. I went to the bathroom thinking there was a hook behind the door for towels and there was no place to hang even a towel. I'm not sure who designed the place, but how do you not have a place to hang a wet towel. Outside my window was a car repair /detailing shop and there was loud music all day up until around 7:30 /8pm. The ice bucket had no plastic bag and there was residue in the container. Because of the fight in the lobby, no one was answering the phone at the front desk so I had to go back downstairs to request a remote for the television. At that time, the clerk had to take another guest who was checking in behind the counter to assist her. I wondered why I didn't get the same courtesy. Hopefully, I wont ever have to go there again.

We reached there by 12 noon . Even though rooms were available , the indian origin receptionist charged some 30 Dollars extra to give us the room little early since the check in time was 3 pm . We were in transit and were using room till 2 pm in the night and not using even breakfast for 2 people and explained all to the receptionist, still he charged 30 USD extra

This was a great value hotel - it’s cheap, clean, fairly upgraded (the bathroom seemed new), and the guys at the front desk were super kind and helpful. Two things that I didn’t love - noise from people on my floor (yes the subway is outside but aside from some occasional rumblings it was fine) - I’m just amazed at how loud people can be at all hours, just having loud conversations without being conscious of others around them. Having the fan on at all hours helped fairly drown out the noise. The elevator was by my room and I’m not sure if there was maintenance going on or what but there was about an hour of extremely loud noises like hammering? Eventually it ended, thankfully, and the rest of the night was fairly quiet. The area around this hotel is pretty bad - it is not a nice neighborhood at all. But the subway entrance is just a few blocks away. I did not feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood here at all - but again, I was just there to sleep so the hotel served that purpose well!

Great place for a night. Very close to subway. There is only one person working so if they are on break or just away somewhere you’ll be waiting. Employees friendly. Room was clean and fairly spacious. Area seemed ok, short walk to a chicken place that had all sorts of food.

Far from city. Subway takes over 30min to get close and nearest station felt unsafe. Subway passes close to hotel and noise wakes you up. Cleaningness of room was questionable.

The property is at an ideal location. Variety of eateries in close proximity. Acess to Public transportation.

The neighborhood around the property was dirty with garbage on sidewalks and street, junk cars parked alongside from an auto repair shop. Though a 2 minute walk to the Van Siclen Ave Subway stop, the area not particularly safe after dark.

This is a cheap hotel by the train tracks in a not so good part of town. If you take it for what it is, it's not bad. Check-in was easy, the AC worked, the bathroom was clean, and beds/linen were clean. The train tracks are close, so if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. Overall it's not bad for what it is.

Neighborhood is a bit sketchy But once inside you are safe Guests were very noisy plus there is a train running along side the hotel My stay was just an overnight, but I wouldn’t recommend this for longer

It was nice for the cost but my room was right next to a train track. It was extremely loud and frequent. The room was pretty clean other than some old (gum?) stuck to the bathroom door. The staff was very nice but if you are storing your stuff for the day if you arrive before check in, they don’t tag your things so anyone could claim your bags. They also don’t take responsibility for that. Luckily mine were not taken but I was definitely a bit nervous. The surrounding area was sketchy and I didn’t feel safe walking around there (lots of creepy guys were staring), so I took an uber everywhere I went.

This hotel was not quite in the area I thought it would be, but it really close to the subway. The staff was pleasant and answered any questions we had. The rooms and hotel itself were clean. What I liked best was that they held our luggage before check in and even after check out before our flight. It looks like some buildings around the hotel are new, so could be Re-gentrifying the neighborhood.

Quarto muito barulhento por causa do metro o que incomoda na hora de dormir. Tinha descrito que tem café da manhã mas não ofereceram no dia em que estava hospedada alegando que estavam sem estoque. As toalhas disponíveis estavam sujas aparentando estar há bastante tempo penduradas no banheiro

There were no closets., every room should have a closet to hang up your clothing, no lamp on nighstand! The juice machine was unavailable the entire time we were there.

It is 24 minutes from JFK airport, it has an elevator, good snack in the morning, the room is small but nice and clean, the bathroom is modern. And the best of all is price, bone quality, location and cleanliness. It seemed to me that the staff is Arabic or personal Hindu, and I spoke Spanish (little) and English. He made every effort to understand and explain me.

Séjour passable car le menage de la chambre a été fait 1 fois sur 9 jours et juste sur ce qu’il ce voyait jamais un coup de balai sous les lits, les draps non jamais été changer sur tout le séjour, le ménage de la salle de bain a été fait 2 fois uniquement sur 9 nuits. Le petit déjeuner été servie dans un sac et non en buffet et il était affreux. De plus la fréquentation dans l hôtel laisse à désirer. Les seul points positif étaient le métro à 5 minute à pied pour rejoindre Manhattan, et un supermarché à côté, un seul agent d accueil a été très agréable. C est vraiment dommage parce que ça aurait pu être un hôtel sympa.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The staff were brilliant - friendly and helpful. My room was clean and (for New York) excellent value. The only issues were the adjacent rail tracks and lack of much to do in the immediate area. The trains weren't constant, but you'll probably want to bring ear plugs as I did if you're a light sleeper. The hotel has only recently been taken on by Wyndham so I expect that is why there was no breakfast as advertised. I did email Wyndham before arriving as I had seen previous guests complain about this, but no reply and no change to the listing so can only assume the misleading info is deliverate at a company level - again, the staff were fantastic. Thus knocked off a star for facilities. There was WIFI, contrary to other reviews so guess that has been installed recently. Also, I was not required to pay a $100 deposit against violating the smoking ban (though there were still signs to that effect). There was also no sign of the rooms being used as a hostel and the area seemed safe enough to me. Overall I liked it here, it was a perfect budget option for the NYC marathon if you're ok with traveling a bit longer to get to things. I would definitely stay again. If Wyndham could have been bothered to reply I would probably have rated higher.
