Hotel is very well situated in the historic center of the city and is an easy walk to the main plaza and restauraunts and bars. The hotel building is interesting and an old colonial home and has hardly been changed from its original form. The rooms are very large, plenty of space, but are very limited in what they offer. We received one small bar of soap and one small shampoo, there are no coffee making facilities nor glasses to have a drink. There is no bar in the hotel and they shut the main door at 8pm, although you can knock to get in. Restaurant doesnt operate in the evening. We did have breakfast in the hotel, it was excellent and it was really enjoyable to have live piano music accompanying the food. It certainly is a different experience and would be worth it for those interested in old historical colonial homes. It is very safe walking out from the hotel in the evening.

Los cuartos están bien, amplios y limpios. La ubicación es excelente. El servicio deja bastante que desear, en recepción no tienen claro qué incluye la reservación. Tienen convenio con un estacionamiento que está a 10 minutos caminando, bastante lejos, habiendo uno a la vuelta y solo cubren de 24 en 24 horas. Como es una casa antigua no tiene elevador y no hay servicio de botones el domingo, cada quien debe bajar su equipaje e ir por el auto al estacionamiento. No incluye desayuno.

Disappointed about two items 1.- Hotel website indicates onsite parking - this is not accurate as the parking is 6 blocks away at another hotel's parking lot. 2.- Breakfast service was not available at 7:00 AM. My expectation is that on a weekday day this service is a must-have for business people Otherwise, a very interesting historic place to stay in. Excellent location for folks who want to spend time in downtown Queretaro at night exploring.

El hotel es increíble! Pero pésimo lo del estacionamiento, llegas y te mandan a otro hotel que está como a 5 cuadras y te toca llevar tu coche a ti mismo porque no hay un valet que se encargue de tu auto! Es decir, cuando llegas puedes dejar tus maletas hasta que dejes tu coche en el otro hotel Pero de salida te toca llevar a ti mismo todas tus maletas 5 cuadras para llegar a tu coche he irte ! Muy mal eso ! Ah y solo ponen un jabón!

An amazing historic property. Not for everyone, because lack of an elevator might be inconvenient for some But it is a beautiful spot, and the staff were excellent.. A lovely spot to start your walks through town and to the many, many restaurants.

So this property was interesting. The bed was fantastic, like the best ever, and the building was beautiful. However it missed on more than one level. For example, no one greeted us upon arrival. There was not a soul, for minutes! We literally had to go find someone two rooms away. Then upon check in, we had to carry our own bags up three flights of stairs. I had asked for an exterior room, but got the opposite. No robes, and the floor was sandy. We had a skylight that was cover led maybe so it wouldn’t leak, but it flapped and banged all night in the wind. No replacement of things like washcloth, and tv was on when we arrived, likely because once we shut it off, it wouldn’t turn back on. Literally though, the most strange part was there was zero staff. We’d have to move our own ropes to get in and out of the building each time; made me feel like it could have EASILY been broken into. It was beautiful, but I wouldn’t stay again. Price extremely high for what it provided, and zero attention paid to us; and I had upgraded the room to as high as I could get. I can’t say it enough, the hotel was a ghost town!

Some of the worst service I may have ever had. They overcharged me and then told me they had actually charged some other guest on their credit card. We paid over $300 USD for a suite and when we arrived the jacuzzi was filthy. Then they tell us that there's an event and it's going to be loud - until 3 am. It's 11 pm now and the building is rattling. On top of that they make it seem like they're doing you a favour by letting you stay here. oh and the TV doesn't work.

El check in bien. La TV no sirvió la 1a noche. Cucaracha en el baño. debajo de los muebles demasiado sucio. Ponen dos toallas y un solo jabón. No dan servicio al cuarto y cuando bajé en pijama a las 7.15 am por el me dijeron que lo debía pagar al momento, cosa a la que me rehusé. Además, el café estaba muy aguado. El hotel descuidado.

The hotel is a landmark and is exquisite, albeit in a worn-in way. The location is excellent -- couldn't get any better. The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the room was old, worn, and tired, and lacked amenities. Given the fact they claim to be a "luxury hotel," it was sorely lacking in so many aspects and it is most definitely not "luxury." Most of the towels were old and worn; the bathroom, whilst large, had very old plumbing and fixtures. One had to wait for the hot water to get going. We were grateful the hot water was working in our room, because several other guests could not get theirs to work. Sometimes the maid-service would give us plenty of towels, other times, not. They did not provide us with toilet paper when it was very low, we ran out, and had to ask for more toilet paper. After the second day, a coffee machine mysteriously showed up in our room. The day after that, we were not provided with any refills. The TV did not work. There was no mini-bar/fridge. The armoire was large, but the bar to hold up one's clothes was not horizontal, it was slanted from back to front, and some of the hangers were broken (my husband repaired them). The internet connection was very slow. There was no concierge. We were very reluctant to eat in the restaurant, because when we arrived, my husband read some reviews about the kitchen situation, so we passed on dining in the hotel's restaurant. We will likely not stay again at this hotel.

El servicio en el restaurante muy malo, muy lentos, tardaban mucho en servir y muy decepcionante la actitud de los meseros el 25 diciembre. Para ser la suite Maximiliano y Carlota, en el baño las toallas estaban muy viejas, rotas y olian muy mal. La cortina del baño muy vieja y fuera de lugar para ser una suite. Amenidades y toallas insuficientes para ser una suite. Sábanas viejas y percudidas.

big romantic room and balcony, comfortable beds. Historic and beautiful hotel. Staff was good but two mornings and full day with NO HOT water! Staff response disappointing. Also had to argue about discount for food on reservations. Restaurant was well below par.

La casa es impresionante, en la habitacion que estuvimos no habia manera de que llegara el WIFI y esto si fue un gran inconveniente, lo hablamos con la propiedad y aunque se supone hicieron algo , seguimos sin tener, el resto muy bien

This is an incredible, elegant, historic mansion! We enjoyed our stay here. The architecture is wonderful and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, but the staff will take care of your luggage. After all, this was built in the 1700s! Our room was was spacious and elegant. The location in the Centro Histórico is very good and within walking distance of the main sites. The restaurant serves delicious Mexican food and a fine pianist provides live music.

The hotel is a landmark and is exquisite, albeit in a worn-in way. The location is excellent -- couldn't get any better. The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the room was old, worn, and tired, and lacked amenities. Given the fact they claim to be a "luxury hotel," it was sorely lacking in so many aspects and it is most definitely not "luxury." Most of the towels were old and worn; the bathroom, whilst large, had very old plumbing and fixtures. One had to wait for the hot water to get going. We were grateful the hot water was working in our room, because several other guests could not get theirs to work. Sometimes the maid-service would give us plenty of towels, other times, not. They did not provide us with toilet paper when it was very low, we ran out, and had to ask for more toilet paper. After the second day, a coffee machine mysteriously showed up in our room. The day after that, we were not provided with any refills. The TV did not work. There was no mini-bar/fridge. The armoire was large, but the bar to hold up one's clothes was not horizontal, it was slanted from back to front, and some of the hangers were broken (my husband repaired them). The internet connection was very slow. There was no concierge. We were very reluctant to eat in the restaurant, because when we arrived, my husband read some reviews about the kitchen situation, so we passed on dining in the hotel's restaurant. We will likely not stay again at this hotel.

Los cuartos están bien, amplios y limpios. La ubicación es excelente. El servicio deja bastante que desear, en recepción no tienen claro qué incluye la reservación. Tienen convenio con un estacionamiento que está a 10 minutos caminando, bastante lejos, habiendo uno a la vuelta y solo cubren de 24 en 24 horas. Como es una casa antigua no tiene elevador y no hay servicio de botones el domingo, cada quien debe bajar su equipaje e ir por el auto al estacionamiento. No incluye desayuno.

Nos salimos a las pocas horas de hacer check in. Desde el momento de registrarnos, la chica de Recepción estaba bostezando, nos entregó la habitación con mala cara. Aunque hay convenio con un estacionamiento, éste no tenía cupo cuando llegamos, ni tampoco es de 24 hrs.. La TV difícil de usar y no nos apoyaron.

Great historic building, it could be a great experience, but is extremly poorly manage. Must of the staff is friendly, but many drag their feet, don't expect solutions if anything turns wrong (it will), don't expect even apologies. I will not return there for sure.

Beautiful hotel and well preserved. Food, especially breakfast buffet, excellent. Our room needed better lighting and a small nightstand beside the bed. The room was not prepared for three people (towels, coffee cups, bottles of water) although that was the reservation. No instruction for parking so we had to pay $468 with NO information how to eliminate or reduce this cost. Otherwise i would highly recommend.

Disappointed about two items 1.- Hotel website indicates onsite parking - this is not accurate as the parking is 6 blocks away at another hotel's parking lot. 2.- Breakfast service was not available at 7:00 AM. My expectation is that on a weekday day this service is a must-have for business people Otherwise, a very interesting historic place to stay in. Excellent location for folks who want to spend time in downtown Queretaro at night exploring.

After a tense encounter with a clerk who insisted a double bed was a king bed, we got our “upgrade” to a nicer room with an actual king bed, which is what we had reserved in the first place. Food discount doesn’t apply because the restaurant is conveniently not connected with the hotel.

Para ser la suite Maximiliano y Carlota, en el baño las toallas estaban muy viejas, rotas y olian muy mal. La cortina del baño muy vieja y fuera de lugar para ser una suite. The boutique hotel Positive: The house itself is a pretty well-kept, quaint relic. The rooms and hallways are charming, and you can genuinely feel the history in the space. It’s also located in a very convenient, strategic area. Negative: It’s noticeably smaller than it appears in photos. There’s no rooftop access, and the ground floor has built-in shops that take away from the exterior charm. Management Positive: The valet, servers, and cleaning staff were polite and attentive. One plus is that you can come and go at any hour without issue. Negative: The receptionists were unwelcoming, inexperienced, incompetent and passive-aggressive. I specifically booked a room that included a patio, but upon arrival, I was placed in a room without one. After a series of excuses—and only when I was ready to leave—they moved me to a room with a very narrow balcony that was covered in pigeon droppings, with pigeons actively nesting there. It was essentially unusable but I decided to be flexible. I also asked for a tour of the house and was again met with excuses by the receptionist. Ironically, the valet stepped in and was kind enough to give me a tour instead. Given that this is a historic landmark, it naturally attracts tourists. However, the receptionists seem to allow almost anyone to walk in at night and wander through the property, even reaching the second and third floors where guest rooms are secured with older-style locks that aren't particularly robust.

After a series of excuses—and only when I was ready to leave—they moved me to a room with a very narrow balcony that was covered in pigeon droppings, with pigeons actively nesting there. It was essentially unusable but I decided to be flexible. I also asked for a tour of the house and was again met with excuses by the receptionist. Ironically, the valet stepped in and was kind enough to give me a tour instead. Given that this is a historic landmark, it naturally attracts tourists. However, the receptionists seem to allow almost anyone to walk in at night and wander through the property, even reaching the second and third floors where guest rooms are secured with older-style locks that aren't particularly robust.
