Riu Palace Antillas - Adults Only - All Inclusive

Staff was excellent. Swim up bar on the family side was great. The adult side swim up bar was a little small and dirty. The beach was great. Food was overall good. Just don’t like they won’t take reservations. The lobby needs a little makeover and needs to be brighter. Overall, we had a great time and would come back. A few tweaks and this place would be excellent. Oh, and don’t let them tell you 2 beds pushed together is a king size bed. They fixed it but it was a pain in the ass

The only problem that we had was that the elevators were not working right. The place is great otherwise and I would definitely recommend coming back.

Very friendly staff and clean room. Room service or requests were promptly handled. Beautiful views and plenty to do. The renovated spa was amazing and would highly recommend as well!

The whole experience af Riu Palace Antillas was great! It’s worth it to upgrade to a partial ocean view or full ocean view suite. We were on the 17th floor at it was amazing. The resort is impeccably clean and staff are constantly working to maintain the cleanliness. The gym is well stocked with equipment and wasn’t busy - I was there every day. We loved that we could leave the resort and walk into town to go to the different shops. The beach is fantastic, white sand and turquoise water! Aruba is very windy so gals with long hair will want to prepare to have to wear their hair up every day so it isn’t blowing in your face all day. The food at Riu is awesome, my only complaint is that the dinner buffet opens at 6:30pm and I’m more of an early eater so would have appreciated if the dinner buffet started at 5 or 5:30pm. The food staff are amazing; they remembered who we were and what our drink orders were right down to what we put in our coffee. Lastly, I hope they eventually change the room keys to be attached to the resort bracelet. The key cards deactivate if placed against a phone and we had to reactivate our cards a couple times throughout our week long visit.

The resort is beautiful and clean, staff is friendly and helpful. There needs to be more nightlife, there wasn't much to do after 7:00. And why does the pool close so early?

This hotel had so much to offer, had a great location on the beach, food was amazing, staff extremely helpful and friendly. HOWEVER, this is a large property with a lot of guests and half of their elevators were out the entire week we stayed. The lines for the elevator were outrageous at breakfast and dinner times.

Property was great. Buffet was really impressive, lots of options and everything seemed fresh. The check-in was a bit of a wait. Our key cards kept getting deactivated even with following their rules. Pool was clean and awesome, everyone was eager to serve you and add to your great time. The entertainment at the pool was fun and unexpected.

Swim up pool bar was disgusting, the water filters were never on and the water was slimy and cloudy. No drink service at the beach, which was littered with empty cups and trash. Drinks were completely watered down with little to no alcohol in them.

This was our first time staying at a Riu resort. The property was clean, our room was nice and updated, and the food was good offering a lot of variety. They do not take reservations at the specialty restaurants, so we did have to wait an hour and a half just to get in the steak house - but that was our longest wait time. The nighttime entertainment could definitely be improved. The gym needs more than three treadmills - there was always a wait. Overall, it was a great trip! The beach is gorgeous, and pool had an active part and a quiet part depending on your preference. I would recommend this hotel.

The staff was great. The oceanfront room was more of an ocean view. The shower & walls need scrubbed. The carpet in the hallways was dirty and smelled musty. They gave u 2 towels 2 wash clothes & no hand towels for 2 people. Room service staff was great, very prompt delivering food and picking up trays. The food was mediocre. Only 1 lunch option which was the pool buffet & it was not good. The restaurants only had 2 or 3 options to choose from. The worst part were the desserts anywhere on the resort. They were disgusting. Nothing was homemade. It was like desserts u get on a Chinese restaurant buffet. The snack bar in the lobby, had the same nasty desserts and stale pastries. The pool bar gave drinks. In 4oz child size cups. There was scum and debris floating in the elite club pool. No Palapas to be found. They were all picked over people placing towels to hold and then disappearing for the day. Paid for elite club & never got a Palapa in 5 days. The elite club status was absolutely not worth the extra cost. The only thing I gave you was access to a private dirty pool & 1 restaurant with three entrées to choose from. It did expedite the check-in process. Also, people were smoking on the beach and putting their cigarettes in the sand littering. Just staff did nothing. I don’t think I’d stay at a Riu again, definitely would not stay at the one in Aruba.

The staff, amenities, the food. The only thing I can suggest is removing all the carpets because it’s making the hallways smells like mildew.

Entire place was clean and the staff was amazing as always this was our second time we were there 8 years ago and loved it decided to go back did not disappoint would love to take our kids to the palace next time for a family vacation looking forward to visiting again

AVOID this place at all costs. We checked out of the room after the first night and went somewhere else. First impressions were this place needed some major updates but nothing too crazy. Staff was pleasant at check in but not overly friendly. We got to our room and that’s when it went down hill. The hallway leading to our room was filthy and smelled terrible. It looked like the carpets hadn’t been vacuumed in months. In our room we also noticed disrepairs and a lack of cleanliness. We had a big greasy handprint on our wall and a crushed bug guys and all completely stuck and dried up on the shower wall. There was also hair under the fitted sheet. We were just going to have them switch our rooms until we went to lunch. The food was practically inedible. I took one bite of my Mahi and didn’t go any further. My high school cafeteria had better offerings. I ended up eating a plate of olives and cucumbers for lunch. Beach and pool lounges don’t have any drink services so you have to get up and go to the bar every time you want something which when it’s all inclusive is pretty often. You can’t make reservations for dinner so we couldn’t eat at the steakhouse even getting there at 6:30. We ate across the walkway at the Arubian restaurant which looked like a hospital cafeteria. No ambiance what so ever. Again, a steak and lobster that was borderline inedible. Servers were very somber and not friendly / lively at all. It started our vacation on a really bad note. We left the next day

Loved everything beside the cleaners spilling the mop water on the 7th floor an it ended up spelling like mildew.

The curtains were hanging off on one side but other than that the room was clean, I wouldn’t say it was spotless though.

We really enjoyed our 1 week stay at the Riu Antillas. The resort was spacious, clean and had lots of great food options. The staff was always happy and helpful, especially Paola who worked at the towel service. The beach was perfect, with clean, clear and calm waters. We brought floaties and spent most of our time in the water and then under a hut. My only suggestion might be to replace the carpet the 13th floor as there was a musty smell to it. It did not affect our room atr all which was a great size and very clean. Overall one of the best resorts that we have been to and can't wait to return!

I paid for a suite ocean view. When we got to the room, it was a junior suite, at the end viewing the street. I booked a two room suite way in advance due to me having to work on my computer each morning and not interfering with my wife. This was our dream trip and I wanted it to be right. I reported immediately to the front desk. They said I would have to fill out a reply to change rooms the next day, no guarantee. This room was horrible after paying for a Suite. The next day, they transferred us to the room that I payed for. The first two days was not pleasant as I had to make sure they got us in our room we payed for. I received an apology from the desk clerk, but no compensation for the accommodations screwup. Not happy with the staff

Was given the wrong room and moved to a different floor the second night and the carpet was moldy

The only thing I didn’t like was the tv channel options after a long day in the sun

Rooms were recently upgraded and looked very nice, comfy and modern, bathroom was huge and pretty, we had a junior suite and although we didn’t pay for it, they kindly fulfilled our request for a room with a partial ocean view. Food was good in restaurants, breakfast buffet was good, lunch/dinner buffets were not great taste-wise unfortunately. Only 2 things in the room that weren’t upgraded were the hairdryer (very low air speed) and the TV which only had local cable channels, no Netflix or Chromecast options sadly. Lobby was nice but a little humid compared to the rest of the property. Would have loved a welcome drink, seems they missed some guests when the servers came around. Pools were great, staff was amazing and deserves a pay raise! Strongly recommend going over to the sister hotel next door Riu Palace as they also have an amazing pool and more eating options. 7/10

The staff make this place amazing. The rooms are average and the ocean view suite looks over a parking lot with views of the ocean to your right. We call those partial ocean view in the states. Freddy at the main bar is the nicest man you’ll ever meet and makes sure you have a great time. The buffet is great and the restaurants are good too. If you want to eat at the steak house, be in line a half hour before it opens. The grounds are nice and the cleaning crew inside is amazing as well. They keep the place very clean for the amount of people coming and going. The negatives…it was HOT! We went the last week of August which is not ideal. However there are NO fans in the resort except in the buffet and they don’t run those. There is little to no ac in the resort. They need to install fans throughout as you’re sweating just trying to have a drink at the bar. The satellite went out day 3, so we didn’t have tv for the last 4 days we were there which wasn’t a huge deal to us but many were pissed. The ac in the room doesn’t get very cold but feels a lot better than the common area. My gf and I got the two double bed room and there’s one usb between the two beds and no outlets around the beds so we had to charge one phone in the bathroom and another at the coffee area. Aruba itself is one of the safest feeling islands I’ve ever visited. Overall the hotel was great but would have been much more enjoyable with circulating air.

Liked our visit just was not happy with that. Our TV was out and the Wi-Fi the whole week we were there.

Some front desk staff were extremely rude and not understanding of our issues. Key card wouldn’t work at least 3-4x a day. 3 am and we had to go back downstairs and wait 25 minutes to be seen for another card. And checking out, the receptionist said he can not give me any receipt of my stay and was upset I asked for one.

Staff is fantastic! Everyone so accommodating!

Carlos at the front desk very professional and considerate when asked to help with any concerns. Jonathan in the French restaurant provided exceptional hospitality and service. This was our second and last trip to Hotel Riu Palace Antillas. Let me start by saying we brought nine people with us to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. We arrive before check in get checked in and was told our room was not ready which we understood and was told they would send us a text when it was ready. So off to get something to eat and have a drink and pool time. the rest of the group got their room and when I went back to the front desk to ask about ours still not ready back to the pool and at 4.30 I went back and when I ask it was ready yes it has been ready after I said maybe you might just want to move us to another room. So we get to the room to find only one towel and one washcloth so I call the front desk to ask for more and her answer was we will have you more on the way, so we unpack and head to join our friends at the pool. So after an hour or so we all decide we would go shower and head to dinner. When we get to the room still NO towels so I call again Reply we will have them right up Yes we shared towles this happened for three nights. The entertainment stall at the pool have No idea how to keep the crowd going playing the worst music ever. The staff in the buffet very unfriendly and never smiling. If it's that bad this might not be the job for you!! I will give a shout out to a couple of bartenders that were nice Freddy, Nelson,Louis. The last day our group decided to go next door to Riu Palace Friendly staff great time. Very disappointing place

Check in was a disaster and set the tone for an extremely mediocre stay. The food was disguusting and the entire staff is rude asf. The best part about our stay was the room. It was large and the view was great. Would never go back to this property

This was a very nice place. The place is incredibly clean and well run. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. We loved staying at the RIU Palace Antilles and would highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Short walking distance to restaurants and shops

We enjoyed the resort very much, we plan on returning next year. I have a lot of trouble walking and it is a HUGE place, however they did supply wheelchairs which was great. Before arriving i had asked three times for a room near the elevator, we were given the last room of a hallway after being promised we would get a room close to the elevator. They did end up changing our room, that is the only thing, other than that amazing and i can't say enough GREAT things about the staff, very friendly and accomodating.

Property was a bit outdated, the RIU Palace family resort next door appeared much newer, but otherwise an excellent choice based on cleanliness, attentiveness of staff, location (best section of Palm beach), access to activities, on-set casino, shops, and dining options with relatively good food for an all-inclusive

We love it here. The hotel is very modern and renovated. The rooms are beautiful and the view from any of them is spectacular.The staff is amazing no matter where you go. Clean. Fun. Very good food. Unbelievable beach and water. Beautiful pool. And a short walk right down the street are great restaurants and shopping. An easy taxi ride to anywhere else in the island. We’ve been here twice in the last 10 months And four times in the last two years. We are already planning our next trip back.

This is at a nice location. You can go for a walk, shops along the street. Public transportation is accessible. Nice clean area with lots of options, food, shopping, walking, biking.

Everyone was super friendly , polite and respectful . The ambience was excellent and the hotel is 2min away from shopping and dining . Love it

Close to water

Hotel and staff were excellent, however the availability to obtain a table at the restaurants was limited. Only three restaurants, you are unable to make a reservation. If you are not at the restaurant at 6, they only have a limited amount of beepers and after that you are unable to eat. Your only choice is the buffet. This makes it a little inconvenient and unable to enjoy the dining options. Have not stayed at many all inclusive, but have never had this issue with dining options before. Not ideal.

There’s a fine line between providing quality goods and services and trimming costs. RIU has moved too far over to the cutting expenses side. The ala carte restaurants have quotas so we couldn’t eat at one after 7:30 pm even though they say that are open until 9 pm. No more blender drinks at the pool bar, it’s all syrups that don’t taste anything like the real thing. And they are smaller cups. Entertainment is not up to par. Very disappointed. They are too focused on cost cutting and losing their ideals…making great experences happen. Not happening anymore.

Nice place to stay in Aruba. Room was great, buffet was really good as well. We enjoyed all but one of the a la cart restaurants. Two things I’d like to note that they can improve. It’s difficult to get in to most a la cart restaurants especially the steak, I suggest adding more tables. I saw a lot of wasted space in each of the restaurants. The probability of eating dinner at the buffet is very therefore why not make it more inviting. By adding some soft lighting theywill take the experience to another level.

staff was very friendly, Freddy in the bar & buffet waiter "Al Roker" deserve a shout out; sit down restaurants have no reservations but went went to Italian on Saturday 18:30 there were open tables yet I was denied entry because of a "waiting list" & menu needs to be changed all week it was the same selections

Riu Palace was very nice. The buffet was good and the food at the italian restaurant was good as well. My issue was i wasnt able to get a reservation at the steakhouse. Its a first come first serve basis and theres a limit to how many reservations they take a night. I went 2 nights in a row and the line was ridiculous and i was told sorry all booked for this evening. After paying alot of money for an all inclusive and not being able to eat at one of the restaurants was a big factor. Also the liquor that they serve isnt top notch which is expected but come on. Titos or greygoose isnt that expensive. Next time im in Aruba ...btw i love it there....all inclusive is definitely out

Overall the property isnt bad. The food was good, drinks were weak. The bars at the resort were not consistent with the liquor available, where you may have to switch what you have been drinking, due to different closing times. Easier to just eat at buffet, unless you want to stand in line at 430 until 6 (when the restaurants open.) The atmosphere can become stale, may be better to break it up with excursions. Overall i would give a 6 out of 10.

Overall our stay at RIU was wonderful they upgraded our room to a suite at no additional cost. The elite restaurant food was terrible. We did enjoy the buffet different theme menu for dinner each night. The beach and pool was gorgeous and the staff were all great and friendly. The only complaint I have is that someone stole my The only complaint I have is that my Gucci sunglasses was stolen from my suitcase in my room. I forgot to put it in the safe. Otherwise I would have given the resort all stars!

We had an amazing time here. The people and staff were so nice. Our view from our 17 th floor balcony was incredible. The sunset was lovely. The food at the buffet was delicious. The best vacation ever. Thank you!
