Though I was leery at 1st as to the older building and conditions in halls-- the front reception area and rooms are VERY nice- with a nice pool area that has ample seating for breakfast and hanging out. Just wish the people staying there were more considerate of other guests (no reflection on the Hotel) as Was being woke up by yelling and partying throughout the night-- and having the breakfast area right outside almost ALL the rooms means you WILL begetting up early-like it or not! Staff was great, except they turned-off the key to my room (and that of 2 other guests that I know of) before we had checked out--so could not get back in to our rooms to pack-up and leave after breakfast! But that was NOT a big inconvenience- just something they need to be more mindful of! If it had thicker wall, and did not have vents connecting the bathrooms- It would be quieter. Maybe a sign up front asking guests to be mindful of noise levels between 11pm and 9am??

The pool was great for the kids except there were never towels at the pool where it was designated to be. The breakfast provided was great!! Loved how much space there was around the pool and dining area!!!! Front desk was very nice and helpful

Staff was great, rooms were very clean and the breakfast was great! Trash was always in the parking lot and no cigarette butt ash trays, stop smoking in front of building, looks bad. But pool was great, it was quite and bed was comfy and tv had lots of channels. 4 and half stars and enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Even though the hotel is older, they are currently working in remodeling. Our room appeared to be recently remodeled and was nice. Beds were comfortable. There was a sign near the more that letnyou know about the remodel and that they will be replacing the carpets soon and remodeling the pool as well. We were very happy with the ppol though. This was the first hotel that we have been to in years that the indoor pool was actually warm enough to swim in. Not to mention it has a deep end and a small slide at the shallow end for little kids to slide into the pool. The breakfast was good as well, just wish they would add potatoes as a option with the eggs and sausage for people that don't eat sausage.

The outside of the hotel is extremely run down and lacking in curb appeal. The inside isn’t any better. The room had a 1” gap under the dented beat up door allowing any and all noise to sound like it was right inside your room. You can hear every noise coming from the pool and the air hockey table. It did quiet down by 10pm each night, but I would never stay here again

The rooms were very smelly. Cabinets drawers were damaged and falling apart. Floors are very dirty. Had to move rooms the smell was so bad. Would have switched hotels but had a flight in the morning and it was very inconvenient to move to another hotel. Upset I had to pay for such bad accommodations.

I got bit up! I had large welts all over my body 5-6 in total. One was so big i think it was 2 right next to each other. The place looks clean but i am pretty sure these were bed bugs. Room one zero eight was the one i stayed in. It took a week before they subsided and i pray we didn't get them in the luggage.

Room was dirty. Sheets too. Smelled like a Chinese restaurant. Room had new floors but otherwise in disrepair for the price. Breakfast and coffee awful, muffins and danishes like rocks and would not feed the breakfast sausage to my dog. Won't be back, super disappointed given price we paid. Need major work here

The property was supposedly "being remodeled"and all common area carpets were torn up. The first room we were given had a flooded bathroom floor from a drip in the ceiling. The 2nd room was dirty. Had toothpaste smeared on the chair back, a full kernel of corn in the slow draining bathroom sink and a quarter-sized cigarette burn on the bedspread. Third room was OK. Breakfast was decent.

Breakfast was cold... I stayed across from indoor pool so it was quite noisy. Bathroom light fixture was rusty and the bathroom was tiny. The WIFI was spotty and the TV service went out both times I tried to watch TV. If you have another option... stay somewhere else.

I think the owners are trying their best, but they have a lot of work to do. The hotel is old and outdated. I don't think we would be back. They really don't have a typical air conditioner for the rooms. You either turn the knob all the way up (right) for air flow to come into the room or all the way down (left) for no airflow. However, you cannot adjust the actual temperature in the room. It was too warm for us. We were hot both nights. My husband and I felt the bed was uncomfortable. We didn't sleep well in the room. A couple of the outlet plugs did not work. I think a LOT of money needs to be invested in this hotel to get it back in a condition we would be comfortable staying in the future.

We arrived early, asked if we could park our vehicle at the hotel until check in. We were informed we could not and had to check in. We asked to check in and they informed us that we would be charged an early check in fee of 53 USD. We parked elsewhere. Hotel was extremely noisy during the evening rooms were in poor condition. Would not recommend

Overall this is not a good place to stay. Everything is done on the cheap. Pillows are not good. Mattress slumps to the middle. The place shows lots of wear. TV remote didn’t work. Bathroom door handle would come off totally in your hand. I would not stay here again. We came for MSU Parents weekend and feel we way overpaid for what this place is.

Hotel is a bit dated but kept clean. Breakfast and staff were nice. Only small issue I had was I couldn’t adjust the temperature in the room - there was no “fan” setting and I would have liked the room cooler. Lack of air circulation made the room feel a little claustrophobic.

Room was clean and staff was very friendly. Unfortunately we had an outside room and walls are very thin. We were able to hear every door opening and closing and every conversation. Also, bed was extremely noisy and squeaky.

The weather was chilly so I attempted to turn the heat on. All that blew out was cool air as if the air conditioner was on. I called the front desk and the young lady informed me that this is a old hotel and they could either have the heat functioning or the air conditioning function. She's uninformed me seeing that the weather had been warm the previous week that they turned the heat off and switched it on to air conditioning. She said she could bring me a space heater. However, I have severe asthma and space heaters will aggravate it. I asked to talk to the manager and was informed the same thing. Explain that I needed to check out because it's space heater would not work due to my asthma and I wanted a refund. The manager was very rude absolutely refused and said I can't do that you don't get a refund. Immediately packed up to leave went to the front desk and asked for a receipt that I had checked out and they refused. Please stay away from this hotel you do not want to stay there!!!

Staff was great and place was clean...but kept havibg trouble with key card on exterior doors. .also one night the room next door was super loud and finally at around 3 i called front desk and they came either quieted down which it did or they told them to leave. But otherwise was a very nice place to stay.. very good staff

I chose this hotel because it was a fair price. I go to Lansing for medical treatment so I do not have a lot of extra money. It is a 100 miles from my home but it is working. So I go one day later stay the night then have an appointment the next morning then go home. So I got to the hotel and they said I did not pay I showed them my receipt that I did. They said they didn’t get any payment and to stay I would have to pay. So I had to pay twice or drive 200 extra miles. I called the front desk for wifi password they don’t answer you have to leave a message and they never call you back. Horrible

The positive first. The staff was great! Very responsive and helpful when asked for assistance. The breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. Negative is the riff raff around the facility and the room size. Room was incredibly small. The worst was the fact there was a very impaired woman in the lobby. I was unsure of her impairment until she dropped a crack pipe in front of me in the lobby. Also, I know it was graduation weekend but not worth the $400 for one night I would not recommend this hotel until they get the unwelcome traffic under control.

Random cords running through room, vent chocked full of dust, thermostat didn’t work. We had left and came back later and there was a sewage smell that even the staff member could smell, he was great and changed our room, but we went from 1 king to 2 doubles. Second room was ungodly hot and was told while leaving that the thermostat was “reveresed” in that room. Additional amenities were fine, staff service was pretty good, just really bad room issues.

The staff at check in were not very friendly or helpful. Keep in mind there is an early check in fee even an hour before the 3 o’clock check in, despite the room being ready. The thermostat didn’t do anything, the room had a random wire along the wall that they painted to make it blend in. The hotel needs upgrades and to offer a much better customer experience with the staff. I would not recommend this hotel.

Will not be staying here again. Probably in one of the worst areas of Lansing please please please if you're reading this go to a different hotel. It was so bad I had to cancel my reservation early and go to Country Inn and Suites in Lansing, they were great!

Staff is completely unapproachable, never smile, and walk around with an air of apathy, discontent and disdain. They act like they can’t be bothered and would rather be elsewhere. The morning breakfast ladies are rude and lock the door about 5 minutes before 9! Completely inconvenient, especially on weekends. Breakfast could at least be until 10am. Never staying here again.

The breakfast was better than expected and well attended by the staff. The property is apparently under some renovation and this is a good thing. The layout is weird, with the pool inside a huge, multipurpose indoor space that might be better to divide up. I would not be comfortable swimming next to tables where everyone eats breakfast. The room was just okay—bed was comfortable and everything worked. We could here EVERYTHING happening in the hallway, as well as in the room next door.
