The JD Hyde Historic Inn

Nothing but great things to say about our stay at the JD Hyde Inn. The house is gorgeous and lovingly restored. The hot tub was so relaxing, and the pool and landscaping were lovely. Enjoying the complimentary cocktail hour in the beautiful library and drawing rooms was seriously a treat. The bed was comfortable and the old fashioned bathroom furnishings were fun. Last but certainly not least, our host Julieth was so lovely, friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

The Inn is an amazing historic building with a unique atmosphere and beautiful decor. Every detail stood out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and the pride shows. We had a great meal in town and enjoyed hanging by the pool, hot tub and then later the fire pit.

Restored 19th century building with lots of original and historic features plus modern additions eg USB ports and nice swimming pool and lovely garden. Innkeeper, Dulce, friendly and helpful. “Cocktail hour” was a surprise bonus.

Julieth is the host. She is very knowledgeable about the origins of the house and will respond within a few minutes to any requests (towels, tutorial on how to use the shower, etc.). The owner has done a magnificent job combining the antique beauty with all those modern things we feel we can't do without. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they were sparkling and inviting. The surrounding gardens are well-manicured. And there's a cocktail hour every day at 5:00! One issue: our room had a claw foot tub. I'm 72 and pretty agile, but didn't feel safe climbing in or out. Grab bars should be installed. I will be back!
