Plumbing problems, roaring motorcycles, room door braced open with plastic spring when I tried to check in. Free parking was nice, breakfast standard, elevator inadequate for guests and service. Nice staff.

We booked this hotel due to it advertising an indoor pool, we probably wanted to book one down the street but the indoor option sold us. The pool is NOT open and they do not give any notice when booking or even upon arrival. The breakfast was okay, very very limited options. Wouldn’t go back.

I was very disappointed the the hotel pool was closed permanently. I called two days before our reservation and they told me that the pool was open and it was being cleaned once a week not daily which I think a public pool should be. I wouldn’t have stayed there if the pool was closed

Staff was really nice as were the rooms. They were very clean and comfortable. Just what I needed for one night. Waffles were super yummy too!! Parking is free and easy… that’s a huge bonus!

This hotel gave the impression of a property being stripped of value by a private-capital firm. The out-of-service swimming pool in particular; the cheap noisy refrigerator in the room; the minimal and unappetizing offerings at breakfast bar. Staff seemed unhappy. On the plus side: good sound insulation especially from traffic and train; walkable to downtown.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is of a smaller size and the rooms are inside facing the front desk which made me feel safer as a solo traveler! 24/7 coffee and complimentary snacks. The shower is great and room is very nice. The only thing that I wish was that the gym was 24 hours. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back!!

We found the room to be in need of a good refresh and cleaning. Window latch coming off, security door latch loose, cover to AC controls came off in our hand. Bathroom walls were stained, bathroom door needed a cleaning and paint job, handle to toilet kept coming off. Furniture scratched and bed had an annoying squeak, Comforter under the top sheet was full of hair. Breakfast was a joke, no fresh fruit i.e., berries or bananas. No jam for toast, no yogurt and the coffee was horrible. Went out for coffee daily. Also, the cushions in the breakfast room were dirty and stained. Needless to say, we will find other accommodations on our next trip to the area, to management, try getting out from your office and inspect what you expect.

It was well kept and clean. I was very comfortable there. I was not expecting the very nice breakfast that was available with alot of choices and tasted great. I would stay there again without question. The only issue we had was that the toilet seat in our room was loose and I didn't tell them about it because I didn't feel it was a big deal. Then forgot to mention it when we checked out.

Modern walk in shower (looks new), whisper quiet room(which surprisingly faced Cal Train ) never heard a peep! Comfortable bed...mini fridge, Krueger coffee and microwave! Will rebook for pur next visit.

I liked the hotel overall, however the property was very noisy, echoey, the walls are thin, we couldn’t sleep passed 7am without hearing everyone in the hotel talking and making waffles.

Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Hotel was kept up in good condition. The motel is next to a commuter rail line, but the trains were electrified and made very little noise. Overall a great value.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and the bathroom was updated with a walk in shower. They use reusable containers for the shampoo, soap and lotion which I really appreciate. The only thing I didn’t care for the breakfast. Good coffee and tea but the rest of the breakfast was not so great. But I would stay there again because the rest is so good. Free parking too which is uncommon in the Bay Area.

Very clean property. Cal Train runs right behind the property. If you are a light sleeper, consider earplugs or noise cancelling EarPods. I don’t mind the sound of it going by. Only last a few seconds do but others that are sensitive may.

Very clean, mattress was comfortable, and no noise from street and blackout curtains were amazing. Pillows were not very good, and the shower water pressure was the worst part of the stay. All in all, still a good place and my wife and I would stay again.

Very old & loud air conditioner can woke you up multiple times during the night. An Old alarm also went off at 4am the morning. Can’t sleep in that hotel.

We always stay at The Country Inn and Suites whenever we go to San Carlos which is about 3-4 times a year. It's our favorite. The beds are comfortable, it's quiet, safe, free parking, good breakfast, coffee and tea available all the time. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend it!

First impression at registration was great! Joel was extremely courteous, friendly and efficient. The room was clean with plenty of towels in bathroom (not just one per person as with most hotels). It was convenient for our purpose.

I didn’t expect this: Super nice Staff, clean, quick everything, great value over all: Lluvia and Jasmin greeted us with a big smile and answered all questions with quick and competent answers. Jose was quick to let us borrow a scale to make sure our suitcases weren’t too heavy. Best Hotel experience in years!

The stay was not the best experience the first room that I got put in had blood on the curtains so I had to go ask for a different room. The different room started out OK however through the night that was the constant smell of marijuana. At 10 in the morning while I was not fully clothed the housekeeping burst through the door two hours before checkout time. When I went to let the front desk know in the morning the woman named Lori or Laura did not seem to concern about my complaint and stated well if you would have said something in the moment we would have been able to do something she had a strong lack of compassion. Also the free breakfast was horrible but the orange juice and apple juice was pretty good

Had exceptionally clean rooms and rooms were in perfect condition. Not a single blemish. Downside was the manager - he definately needs some anger mangement training. My wife had asked if our room could be cleaned because it was missed. We had the do not disturb sign on and then removed it right after breakfast. The manager got extremely angry and said she was lying. An appropriate response would have simply been to say "sorry about that, here's some towels and we'll make sure to get your room tomorrow". Get some mental health help for this guy.

We started staying at this hotel 2 years ago and visit 3-4 times a year. We love how convenient the location is and the businesses close by. There are a few fast food places and a gas station. The hotel has a nice selection of drinks and snacks. The breakfast was very diverse and filling. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I was pleasantly surprised staying here after reading some reviews that weren’t too favorable. The staff was friendly, room was quiet considering being right on El Camino real. Plenty of parking, facility was clean outside and inside. Walking distance to several fast food places as well as cheese steak restaurant and a ramen place that was sadly closed. Walking distance to Cal Train station. Car wash next door which was a bonus as car needed to be washed.I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This hotel is located between SF airport and Palo Alto so it is very convenient to go either directions via 101. Free parking with sufficient parking spaces. Walking distance to many good dining options. The hotel is remodeled a little so it looks kind of new. The room is spacious and clean, while the mattress is not the best quality. Shower and bathroom is really nice.

The room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable! Everything was very clean and updated. We enjoy staying here whenever we come to San Carlos. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the complementary breakfast. There used to be many more choices and this time the food was cold on one of the mornings we ate there. Otherwise I highly recommend Country Inn & Suites

I had such a great experience during my stay here! The hotel was extremely clean and well-kept, with all the amenities I needed. The front desk staff were welcoming and kind. No more 'homemade' cookies, now a very small bag of chips. Staff very polite and friendly. Six day stay, five /bacon, one w/ sausage. All other breakfast items were the same each day, No water available at breakfast Have stayed several times, would stay again. Very quiet..
