Actually built 1998 and renovated in 2006 which seems plausible. My room smelled horrible. The furniture was old and chipped. The floor was vinyl and not clean. I couldn’t sleep because I was concerned about the cleanliness of the bed. The photos that the hotel post are not current. They were probably taken 20 years ago. The nightly rate is not worth 1/2 of what was charged except for the excellent location. If you don’t care about the quality of the hotel but want a location very close to historic Charleston, Patriots Point and Sullivans Island/isle of palms then this is fair choice. I am a native Charlestonian but had to stay somewhere for a cheap rate for a few nights. I actually left after one night . I didn’t ask for a refund for the second night because it was a non refundable rate and I didn’t feel like being negative to the staff. I just wanted out and to find a better alternative. I paid $350 on Hotels.com for two nights . Nearby activitiesPatriots Point, downtown Charleston and beaches. Also very close to the Ravenel Bridge and park. WalkabilityNot walkable. Beautiful love my stay very clean rooms was clean and big

This property is very dated, the bathtub was chipped. The bed was uncomfortable. There was someone living in their car in the parking lot, and there seemed to be a certain amount of guests living there somewhat permanently. If you’re looking for lowest cost, this is it, but don’t expect much.

Our air conditioning kept turning off all night so the room was stuffy and gross smelling. Our room was not the cleanest. We checked in and not even an hour later our door opened because they thought it was vacant... but we just checked in? The check in process was chaotic but he was new...so that isnt his fault. They offer carts for luggage but the doors are manual so I'm not sure how they think thats helpful for guests. All the elevator buttons were sticking and it was super sketch. The trash room was disgusting. The entire hotel smelled weird. Almost like air conditioning (or lack thereof) was a major contributor. We will not be staying here again.

Had broken room door, weird sticky room floor, repulsive smell. No ice machine while close to the beach. Claim have breakfast with nothing but coffee and couple of donuts and no tables or chairs!!
