A no frills motel no wi-fi refrigerator or microwave in the cheapest room. Somewhat noisy with a pet hotel next to it. There are nice shopping near with Harris-Tetter, Whole Foods andcTrader Joes near and other shopping. A nice Starbucks short walk away.

Fine, but very basic for a quick stay. Minor issues like the door was difficult to unlock with the key cards and at one point, both keys stopped working and I had to go back into the office to get them reprogrammed. Nice, tucked away location. Hard to find at night though, because the sign is broken and does not light up. Light fixture coming out of one of the walls. No fridge. Good AC. Good ice machine fairly close to the room. Quick check-out. OK parking. Overall, a bit overpriced, considering basic accomodations and several minor maintenance issues.

The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Although English was a second language and she was hard to understand . IThe room was adequate, It smelled good but some dirt on floor every thing else was clean. The safe didn’t work. I was fearful that the plaster on ceiling was going to fall down. The water pressure was excellent in the shower. The pool area was very clean and the pool was very nice. No pool towels were out ,

Upon checking in we went to drop off our items to find that sheets on the bed were not changed, stains on the sheets. Got another room, it was cleaner but the beds were not comfortable. Place could use updating.

The place can use some MAJOR UPGRADES to live up to the name Red Roof PLUS. Cleanliness is poor. There were little roaches in the bathroom and the room itself. The door doesn't work properly, it's a hit and miss to even open it the first time with the card. The room smells bad, The hallways are dirty and also smell bad. The bathroom door has black stains and molds in the ceiling that were obviously never cleaned and not paid attention to. The towels have hairs and look dingy. The hair dryer is very sticky. I tried to wipe it clean but it's still sticky. The bed was ok, but overall, it wasn't a pleasant stay, especially for 2 nights.

The room was dirty, there was only one set of towels and it was extremely dated. The water in the toilet was brown upon arrival and the toilet makes a very loud scary noise when you flush it. There was unknown white stuff in the drain of the shower and the safe didn't work. The front desk staff was great - professional and friendly. This is a review of the property condition and cleanliness only.

Room was extremely dirty, as there were hairs in the towels, stains in the shower, and the sink was semi-clogged. You also will smell people smoking in the hallway, and music being played until at least midnight. You do not feel safe walking from the hotel to another area, and I recommend spending a little more to stay somewhere else.

The employees were very kind, I will say that. I was thankful for the free hot coffee the next morning (although the coffee bar in the main check in area was dirty and I was surprised because it was early), The water pressure was awesome and ac was nice and cold. What me and my children didn’t like was the pubic hair on our toilet, the black ring in our toilet, body hair in the shower, a huge stain on our bedding with dried flakes on it so it wasn’t just stained after washing. There was also a bug in our room and the fridge froze our water, yogurts and soda we were traveling with. We arrived late after a 10 hour drive and I didn’t alarm the front desk staff because I was so tired. I should have because my son had a panic attack from these things and we chose to freeze all night and just use our own little travel blankets we brought from and stripped the beds down to bare sheets. The cost was also $250 and we expected much better quality when booking through Expedia.

The Red Roof Inn Plus at Patriots Point was absolutely perfect. The entire facility was spotlessly clean and the value was exceptional. I WILL be staying here again in the future.

Picture a motel room from any movie or TV show, and that's what this was. Overall the room was clean, although there was a weird colorful stain in the tub. It looked permanent, but still should be taken care of. There was no drain stopper, and we didn't feel comfortable using the shower. I'm sure they would have switched uz to another room if we would have asked. The dead bolt on the door didn't work. The maintenance guy said they were waiting to get new hardware. Didn't use the pool, but it looked okay. It was pretty loud at night.

No one cleaned the room in the 3 days we stayed there! The room smelt of damp. Staff at reception all unhelpful. Spoke to cleaner and she told us she was too busy but would leave clean towels - would not recommend staying here

The room was good for its cost but the cleaning staff and front desk staff customer service is terrible. The cleaning person did not come to the room to clean it until I removed all the bedding and placed it outside the room door. A clean woman argued with me over replacement towels when I requested new ones. I had placed dirty towels outside the door two nights prior and never received new towels. When I asked for towels she stated I needed to give her towels for her to replace. I stated I had left the towels outside and she denied me doing so-implying that I was being dishonest. I insisted she give me towels and she rolled her eyes and gave me one towel. Very rude!! I will spend the extra $30 a night for another hotel in the same area. Poor customer service

Check in was at 4. Got there at 2, rooms not ready(completely understandable) told us to come back at 3. Still not ready, said come back at 3:30. Called at 4, still not ready. Went back at 4:45 and finally got into our room after 5. I know places are short handed, but the hotel should at least get you into the room you are paying for by the posted check in.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were treated very warmly. They were helpful with places to visit. Only alarming issue was the sign warning about gators and snakes. This was greatly appreciated, though.

Staff was very rude. Checkin process wasn’t good at all. Stayed for two nights, keycards only worked for one day, had to go back to front desk to reswipe, no apologies or so ever, looked at me like I made a mistake?? Excuse me?! Gave keycards back to me without saying a word, I had to ask am I all good now? She nodded her head reluctantly with that look…And the room is having the most disgusting odor, like poop and puke. On top of that, the fire alarm has been making noise every hour. No fridge either. Would not stay here again! Definitely not recommend to anyone else.

Stayed for the weekend of the bridge run and had a great time . Good location to Shems Creek and quick Uber to downtown. Room was clean and comfy. Had some workers that were staying the night at the hotel hanging out in the parking lot taking . Called the front desk around 10 and the night clerk came down and the situation was resolved .

The location was everything. Charleston Harbor, shops and restaurants in the Mount Pleasant area, . . . Shem Creek too. It did not disappoint for the price. Just an FYI, as the hotel is somewhat dated, but it was clean, it was safe and the price was unbeatable for being at the base of the Ravenel Bridge crossing over into Charleston.

I was happy to find a room in this area on a very busy weekend. The worst issue is they have no space to store luggage before check in or after check out. The safe in my room didn't work, and the toilet flush mechanism was very messed up. But overall it was fine for my purposes and not super over priced like everywhere else in that area that was still available last minute. There are a couple of places close enough to walk to eat. If I had more time I would have walked ask the way to Shem Creek, which is about half an hour. Coffee in lobby was decent, but the cups are too tiny.

From the beginning, there was a language barrier at check-in. Then upon entering the room, we found it was not as "premium" as we expected (paying extra for "premium" room. About average to us. Discovered no snack pack in room. When it did arrive, it was just bottled water and a couple of peanut packages. The vending area offered no snacks or pastries, only soda and ice. Also found they offered no morning breakfast of any kind. We were having difficulties with the TV ('No Signal'), called office for assistance. No one came, we figured out the TV on our own. The "Spa Like" bath was just a plastic tub and toilet (with a Walmart quality plastic seat). Nothing fancy. Bed was very firm (uncomfortable to us, but other folks might prefer a firm bed). All in all, this was a very disappointing stay. Our expectations were high due to advertising on Red Roof Inn's WEB site. Unfortunately, this location did not live up to those expectations.

Don’t let the Plus or the online photos fool you! Let me tell you about my stay on 3/3/2024 in room #239. The toilet seat was stained, there was dirt and scratches on the walls, the TV sound was terrible, the weekend front desk person was not friendly or welcoming, the back of the property backs up to a Doggie Day Care where the outside yard barking starts at 6am, the chair at the desk was filthy, we found a dirty sweatshirt in the corner, the curtains were OLD and TORN, the bathroom door did not close properly and the lobby coffee cups were tiny....4oz? The Monday morning staff was friendly.
