Best Western Plus Pineville-Charlotte South

Dirty hotel. Hard mattress. Small room. Smelled like weed. We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel elevator broke down twice. Rude front desk staff. Sink drain was clogged. No one came to fix it. Will never stay here again. Only thing positive was location was close to family.

I didn't like the elevator braking down twice during my stay. But the staff was very helpful and kind. Beautiful workout area which was always clean.

Hotel was nice, elevator did not work

Elevator constantly went down. Got stuck in it once. They had to come open the doors. Homeless man stayed on our floor all day. He even started smoking cigarettes in the hallway.

No issues. Room clean, quiet. Could’ve been a bit cooler. Staff ok. Location great. Pool built in sauna-like conditions. Walls all around. No breeze and ac units drip on you as you sit by pool.

Front desk lady was nice. Rooms were clean enough. No housekeeping during your stay. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. (Eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes, some fruit, waffles) Elevator was broken the entire weekend. Room AC worked but the rest of the hotel was HOT. Cars broken into in the parking lot. Location convenient to restaurants and activities.

Nice clean rooms. Great value. However, elevator was out of order. No signs to indicate so we took it and got stuck for 20 minutes+. Phone in elevator did not work. Front desk unconcerned.

Gym equipment didn’t function.

Carpet was stained and dirty. I walked on the floor with shoes on. Bathroom had stains. Room smelled a little. I only booked this hotel because it had an EV charger, room pictures looked nice, and the room price. I couldn’t charge my electric car because the staff lost the card that is used to activate the EV charger. The man said he would speak to his manager and get back with me. Nobody ever did.

Check in process was quick and easy. The beds were super comfortable and the entire hotel was nicely updated. For the price paid it was worth it and we will stay again. It's not a high class hotel so don't expect that but for a 2.5 star hotel it is nice. The daily breakfast was great. The free EV charger was a huge plus since we drove our Tesla on this trip. The area is convenient and quiet.

When entering the building, the lobby was kind of dusty. But the hotel staff was very courteous and efficient. Once entering my room, the carpet was wet and the room smelled like mildew. The room was very dusty and the AC unit was leaking. Also at 9:30 the maid knocked on the door and asked to clean the room. I informed her that checkout wasn’t until 11 AM. Hands-down one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in

No towels, sheets, or wash cloth’s for my two day stay. Had to go buy my own. Nothing was done. Entire place smelled like cigarette smoke and they were smoking inside the rooms.

Although the staff was very friendly, the condition of the room was horrible. It was truly disgusting (Carpet had numerous stains in addition to the bathroom being dirty and moldy). The room and hallways smelled like weed the whole time we were there. Traveling with 2 small children, this is something that concerned us but unfortunately, even after reaching out to Expedia within 10 min of arriving to all of this and them contacting the hotel directly, nothing could be done. Lesson learned, and we will not be choosing BWP again.

For the price, I expected to at least see the floor vacuumed. Our room was so dirty upon check-in. The floors were filthy and the tops of the counters, nightstand, and tv stand were covered in crumbs and dust. The beds were made and at least looked clean but that's about it. I noticed the floors were filthy everywhere, even the hallways.

I found mold in bathrooms. There is no housekeeping. There are outlets close to the beds that don’t work.

The property looked ok, but my room had roaches.

Overall, a good stay. The room was comfortable and fairly modern and clean. Not all of the outlets worked, but I was still able to charge my devices. Score one for the blackout shade too. It was pretty quiet. Breakfast was what you would expect and totally adequate. If you’re planning on using the exercise room, head across the street to walk or run on the Greenway trail instead. The Peloton is wobbly and has no subscription (unless you login with your own), the treadmill kept cutting out, the room is musty, and the lights turned off on me while I worked out. There is no equipment for strength training. It was rainy, so I didn’t use the pool. Despite some areas for improvement, I would stay here again.

Check-in was quick, lady was very polite, area clean but a little warm. The breakfast area was clean but warm since AC unit broken. The breakfast was good and hot! The room was very outdated and run-down. The two queen beds were comfortable but the frames were hard plastic and stuck out past the mattress so we busted our legs on the frames while moving around in the room. There were 2 adults and 4 children in the room. We for 2 kids to sleep on the sofa bed but it was a joke! The mattress was paper thin and nasty. You could feel every spring when you laid down, sheets, was very narrow and short so it only fit one kid, not two (even though the room is labeled that it sleeps 6). Two kids & one adult had to share one queen bed. Teen ended up sleeping on the sofa instead of the sofa bed cuz it was so bad. When I spoke to the young man at front desk about the sofa bed, he could offer no help; nothing extra could be provided, not even an extra blanket; he said they didn't have any extras but I saw several extra blankets in the housekeeping room on the shelf. The AC unit was ok. Had to go to front desk multiple times to reprogram room keys. TV signal wouldn't work most of the time. Wifi was horrible. Plugs by bed lights didn't work and reading lights did not work. Fridge was frozen upon arrival and I had to defrost it. Large patched area on ceiling that was poorly done. Shower handle didn't work well. Need splash wall in shower cuz entire floor gets wet and slippery.

I was skeptical from a few reviews I had read but when I arrived I felt safe and comfortable. My only complaint really is tear up the carpet and get something more modern that is easier to keep clean. Also the pillows were lumpy like someone else had stated. Regardless for $100 it was fine. The staff was great and there is a greenway right across the street for early morning walks!

Refrigerator in room and door to parking lot didn't work. Caused a huge inconvenience

The complimentary breakfast was great. Air conditioning was on point.

My only complaint is about room 331 the A/C did not work.

The property was clean, safe area, convenient to shopping and easy parking. The only down fall was the air conditioning in the room was very load every time it turned on.

Check in was easy. Room was a little difficult to find. Room numbers were set up weird. The order of the room numbers went down but then switched over higher numbers. The smell was a bit musty/mildew. Other than that the room was perfect.

Property is nice clean and safe especially for the price! My only complaint is that I picked this room solely for the fridge and microwave in each room and mine didn’t work and when I called I was avoided until the night before check out when I was finally told that it just doesn’t work and I could move to a different room but at that point it wasn’t worth it.

I love this place! This is now the third time we have stayed here for a Karate tournament, and we will continue to come back each and every year. The staff is absolutely amazing. The breakfast is phenomenal. Rooms are so comfy and cozy. And not to mention, it is in the absolute perfect location. Anything you want is literally right around the corner. You cannot go wrong with best western plus Pinesville.

Super nice staff

I apparently mis read the hotel rules as this hotel is not pet friendly- I left immediately, never checked in and they charged me for a 4 night stay. I would have expected only a one night charge. Clerk was rude and short .

I can’t give a rating for my stay because it didn’t happen. I checked in with my disabled grandmother and mother, and we had a reservation for an upstairs room. After taking the elevator, it stopped working, and we were stuck on the first floor. The elevator panel was detached, so none of the emergency buttons worked. Fortunately, I found a phone nearby to call the front desk, and their response suggested this happens often, which was incredibly frustrating. My grandmother and mother have severe claustrophobia, and the lack of air conditioning caused them to panic. The staff finally arrived just in time to pry the door open, revealing we were stuck about a foot above the ground. We had to jump out, which was a huge challenge for my disabled family members. They offered us a first-floor room but quickly withdrew it when they realized it was full, suggesting we use the stairs instead—totally impossible for my family. Meanwhile, my grandmother and mother were warning others to avoid the elevator since no one bothered to put up a sign, and I was trying to request a refund. To top it all off, the front desk clerk hypocritically scolded some young men to let my grandmother and mother sit down, pretending they cared about their disabilities. If you or your family are disabled, DO NOT book a room here. It's infuriating and borderline disrespectful.

Somehow my room was given to another person. My name was on the document, but the signature wasn’t mine. The employee who checked me in was great and she found another room for me. The cleanliness of the room I was in was okay. There was a sticky substance on the desk that I couldn’t get off. I sat at a table in the dining area and because the table is missing some screws, the food and drinks almost fell into my lap. I reported it and was told the owner is aware, but nothing has happened.

Front desk staff weren’t accommodating.

Check in was super easy, when we needed linens for the sofa bed they were immediately brought to us, we also had a problem with one key not working and it was immediately resolved. The continental breakfast was also super good! Would stay again.

**Do not stay at this hotel** The customer service is terrible. The management is combative and rude. It smells like an ashtray when you walk in.

The wonderful employee who checked us in was so fantastic! I had an issue with my card and they were very patient with us. We were flustered and tired after a long drive. And their plant’s attitude and kind smile was refreshing! The room was great. Clean. Comfy beds. And the breakfast was amazing!!! Thank you!!!!

Convenient Easy parking

Close to hospital - 6 minute drive. Across from the mall and there’s a park across the street. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff is great!!

Conveniently located in a quiet area, walking distance to restaurants. Rooms were comfy and spacious.

We stayed two nights while in town for a gathering. Very convenient for shopping and dining choices. There's a beautiful park across the street for walking, jogging, biking, etc. Very busy. There's also a golf range around the corner. The continental breakfast was wonderful-hot items, 2 waffle makers, fruit, etc. They have an elevator. We would definitely stay here again.

It was clean, quiet, and close to food and the soccer fields.

Great location in front of a hiking park

We stay here all the time when travelling to Florida. It is right off the highway and there are many restaurants to choose from. There is also a huge shopping centre across the street. If you just feel like a walk there is a beautiful walking path across the street.

The area was convenient, close to restaurants, mall and easy parking. Breakfast was great, hotel clean and quiet.

The breakfast was superb, with fresh eggs, bacon and cubed potatoes, plus many more choices.

The elevator was broken the whole time that we were there. The common areas were really hot. There was a musty smell in the room and the host during breakfast on Sun was very rude. She was yelling at some of the guests to move out of her way and she was rolling her eyes at guests when they filled there plates. Im guessing that she didnt want to fix more food. Just not a pleasant stay at all and Ive been to this location many times. Probably my last.

Positively surprised! Good location, quiet rooms, spacious and well furnished. Everything was working, good amenities. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, service was quick. Breakfast was much better than anticipated per previous reviews and pictures, it was actually quite complete! Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was good about it but when it comes to the breakfast!!!!! Breakfast was great! Love the waffles and eggs with cheese.

Lady that ran the breakfast was very rude when she was told juice station was not working she acted like she did not care at all. She was heard telling another guest that breakfast would be closing in 30 minutes anyway and she was already in process of shutting it down.Otherwise decent hotel but seems like there always that one employee that only cares about themselves.

Over all a decent place to stay. The breakfast was probably the best one I've had in years. They actually offer real cooked eggs and sides (depending on day, eggs & sausage or eggs and bacon etc) plus your average easy to make yourself foods.
