The location is great but the paying for the parking separately is not practical. After all I think if you are staying at a property for more than 8 days it should be complimentary in the package.

It was “okay”. A notch above ratty. No elevators. Breakfast… well it was “free” so by that standard it was fine. $20/night for parking was bad but many hotels in El Segundo do it.

We stayed for the Christmas holidays. The location is close to the airport which is why we selected it. The staff was lovely and the breakfast was welcomed to start the day with more than enough options. Things I liked: -Free receipt of packages for guest -Laundry available (Front desk has the quarters needed so that was convenient) it cost $2 per was per dryer per soap per dryer sheets -Free Breakfast -Close to airport -Exceptional customer service Things to improve: -Parking cost US$20 per day -There are no elevators - this shocked me but it because Hyatt House unlike Hyatt Place is a series of 3-storey houses not one single storey hotel - I did not know that. I would definitely recommend requesting a 1st floor if accessibility is an issue. We had a 2nd floor and getting the suitcase up and down was a stress (the hotel can help with that if needed in their defence). - Location from the main building - we were initially place in Building 10, which was far and very noisy as the train path is literally outside. We were moved to building 18 which was way better I would recommend asking for a building closes to the front and "odd numbered buildings" offer more privacy...building 18 was literally by the roadway. Gettig to any major activity (with traffic) was about 45mins to 1hr like Disney and Lego Land...but we did choose close to airport which meant far from activities. There are 2 famous restaurant walking distance, but it is $$$$ price range.

Buyer beware: they zing you $20/night for parking in the lot in front of the hotel, which is the ONLY parking available. If they had integrity, they would add it to the nightly price, but that would make it appear less competitive from a pricing perspective.

This is a 5 star property in my opinion. It didn’t give me the overwhelming fast paced LA feeling. While I would rather let the staff know when I did not want my room cleaned instead of the other way around, having to provide 24-hr notice if I did want my room cleaned, it was a quaint environment with a pool, BBQ grills and lounge area to enjoy during our stay, it was a whole vibe. This will be my go to hotel on future visits to the Cali fam.

I liked the location of the property since it was in walking distance to stores and shops. Staff was kind enough. It was about 25-30 minutes away from Universal Studios. We enjoyed breakfast but the rooms overall were not very clean. They immediately smelled like smoke and had a musty odor. The carpet was old, dirty, and wet and even the bedsheets were wet and not fully dry. There was a sofa bed in the room which we needed, but there were no extra linens or blankets which was disappointing.

The staff at the Hyatt house could not be kinder or more accommodating. The facility itself is extremely rundown, and we had to be moved because our first room had wet carpet and was moldy. Well, the staff are really kind, and the beds are very clean, the carpets in each of the rooms are absolutely filthy. Many of them are threadbare, and the transoms were coming apart in both rooms we were assigned. Again, I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff are. The facility needs a major upgrade. The location is extremely convenient if you were gonna be going both north and south in the Los Angeles area, and there are many dining options near the hotel.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom which was a great size for 7 of us. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Carpet needs updating and shampoo/cond/bodywash containers needed to be refilled but other that that the room was great! Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon,potatoes, pancakes, oatmeal, bagels. Everything was refilled promptly even near closing time which most places don’t do. Staff was nice, check in was easy. I would stay here again.

Thin walls and ceilings. Gaps between the door and the walls let in a lot of noise. There’s a train next to the hotel that is loud every few minutes. But the rooms themselves are nice.

We liked that we were able to get a small suite with a complete kitchenette (Sink, fridge, stovetop, microwave). The suite felt very private and cozy and the complementary breakfast was very good with something different each day.

Good breakfast included in the price, plenty of options for everyone’s taste. Good location, fairly close to the beach, we felt safe in the area. We liked the room which looks like a 1 bedroom apartment with a bedroom, small kitchen, living room & dining area, it is very convenient. Fridge with freezer, and dinnerware also provided. There was a bit of noise from the trains passing nearby because we were located in the back of the hotel since we booked kind of late, but even so the noise isn’t that bad.A good experience & good value for the money.

Staff was great. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a nice area. Grounds were clean and they had security patrolling the parking lot throughout the night. The room was outdated and the pullout bed was not in good shape. The king bed was comfortable and shower was very nice. Definitely recommend and it’s close to the beach.

The receptionist was nasty and we were barely able to hear her or understand what she was saying. She failed to tell us that we had to put a placard inside our rental car, lucky we found out b4 our vehicle was towed. You have to make a 24 hour appointment for them to clean your room. The bed was very very uncomfortable. although the hotel appeared not to be full we were placed all the way in the back by the train/rail car. The only good thing was the breakfast. You really need to clean a little better and get rid of the nasty old lady at the front desk.
The receptionist was nasty and we were barely able to hear her or understand what she was saying. She failed to tell us that we had to put a placard inside our rental car, lucky we found out b4 our vehicle was towed. You have to make a 24 hour appointment for them to clean your room. The bed was very very uncomfortable. although the hotel appeared not to be full we were placed all the way in the back by the train/rail car. The only good thing was the breakfast. You really need to clean a little better and get rid of the nasty old lady at the front desk.

I stay at this location each time I am there for work (approximately 3 weeks out of each year). It is convenient, in a nice area with great food options nearby. In particular, Evelyn, who works the front desk, is wonderful. Each time I come, she makes me feel like I am a friend, not just a guest.

Staff was amazing. Our room was perfect. It was clean. Breakfast was delicious. Pool was clean. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Especially Evelyn, she remembered my family and was very nice each morning we were there for breakfast.

I was disapointed in the overall cleanliness of the room. It appeard clean but walking around barefoot, i might just as well been outside. Two trash cans in the room, none of which was in the bathroom. Apparently, NO housekeeping services, unless requested 24 hr notice is given. But, even with 36 hr notice, they still failed to clean the room. Ive been a traveler for a long time and im still amazed at facilities that have no elevators to upper floors, and this is one of tbose. Not sure how this is acceptable under the Americans with Disabilities Act? Overall, I not return to this hotel for any futer travel to that area.

I asked for extra set of towels on first day at 3:00pm check in due to it was 3 adults we were told they would bring them. Still no towels that night got up in morning asked again told same thing they would bring them. I asked how long we have one person who would like to shower which we asked yesterday afternoon. She said we will bring them they have to wash the towels. I said I have never had an hotel short on TOWELS!!! So my friend couldn’t shower until the 2nd night just ashame. So we will always add at least a towel from home when traveling due to this trip.

I could not ask for a better place to stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We came in early from our flight, and we were fortunate to be able to check-in early. Parking from room to car was very convenient. Freeways, shopping, dining, and the airport were minutes away.

Our stay was short, but we truly loved our stay. The room was clean, and very spacious for a family of 5. The staff was courteous and very friendly. The surrounding neighborhood was great and we were under 10ins away from the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Couldn't recommend enough.

Good breakfast included in the price, plenty of options for everyone’s taste. Good location, fairly close to the beach, we felt safe in the area. We liked the room which looks like a 1 bedroom apartment with a bedroom, small kitchen, living room & dining area, it is very convenient. Fridge with freezer, and dinnerware also provided. There was a bit of noise from the trains passing nearby because we were located in the back of the hotel since we booked kind of late, but even so the noise isn’t that bad.A good experience & good value for the money.

We stayed for the Christmas holidays. The location is close to the airport which is why we selected it. The staff was lovely and the breakfast was welcomed to start the day with more than enough options. Things I liked: -Free receipt of packages for guest -Laundry available (Front desk has the quarters needed so that was convenient) it cost $2 per was per dryer per soap per dryer sheets -Free Breakfast -Close to airport -Exceptional customer service Things to improve: -Parking cost US$20 per day -There are no elevators - this shocked me but it because Hyatt House unlike Hyatt Place is a series of 3-storey houses not one single storey hotel - I did not know that. I would definitely recommend requesting a 1st floor if accessibility is an issue. We had a 2nd floor and getting the suitcase up and down was a stress (the hotel can help with that if needed in their defence). - Location from the main building - we were initially place in Building 10, which was far and very noisy as the train path is literally outside. We were moved to building 18 which was way better I would recommend asking for a building closes to the front and "odd numbered buildings" offer more privacy...building 18 was literally by the roadway. Gettig to any major activity (with traffic) was about 45mins to 1hr like Disney and Lego Land...but we did choose close to airport which meant far from activities. There are 2 famous restaurant walking distance, but it is $$$$ price range.

The building is old . But the rooms were clean . Bathrooms were clean . It’s not a new construction building . There is no water fountain available for the guests to drink .there is no laundary facility either . Breakfast is amazing !

Always Excellent Eggs with potatoes and waffles, the next day adding bacon, sausage and french toast, the following day biscuits, gravy and pancakes, then ham along with oatmeal, fruits, cereals and so on.

I don't usually review but this time things were terrible. I stayed 3 nights with my family and the experience was below average compared to lower range hotels I've stayed at. The website falsely advertised the breakfast as there really wasn't any omelettes. The first morning's breakfast was odd with corned beef being the protein with no other meat options. The fruits seemed to be from a can and not actually fresh. Another thing, our room was a trio suite and it said we were supposed to have different temperature controls but that didn't exist. We also asked if we could get our trash taken care of because we left it outside our door. They called us later at 10pm that day, waking up my mom, saying that we would have to bring it down the three flights of stairs to the front counter ourselves because the security guard wasn't available. The kicker is the security guard was sitting right there in the lobby. What got us frustrated too was our fire alarm went off early in the morning randomly, waking us all up. They called to see what was wrong and said they'll send someone in 10 minutes. No one came until 3-4 hours later. We had to deal with so many problems ourselves when it wasn't on us.

Great stay at the Hyatt House. While this property is not the newest, they have taken care of it, updated it, and keep it maintained. The location of the property was great. Many things to eat and do around the neighborhood. Very safe and easy to get on the freeway system to move around. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable for a room with actual segregated bedrooms. The breakfast was great, always fresh, and the common eating area was very clean. The pool and outside areas were kept up. They were not perfect, but up to expectations for a property that was not new. I am happy to report they have cleaned the exterior of all the buildings so that they don't have mildew, like what was reported previously. The buildings look very nice now from the outside. The only drawbacks were the parking fees and our couch smelled like a dog had slept there previously. Please take into account the parking fees when pricing this property out, and don't be surprised at the desk. They were bad, but with the improvements made to the property, we thought the value of the total price didn't go down the drain. Pets are allowed to stay here, which for us produced a stinky couch. But it wasn't enough that we requested another room. We notified the management and then cleaned it so it smelled better. However, we made sure to toss a sheet over the couch when we sat on it. Just keep that in mind if you book.
