On arrival, we were told that the third party oversold and they do not have a room available for us. After making several calls, finally magically one room opened up. There were many other guests in similar situation. Property description shows swimming pool which is closed by the county and says free breakfast but no breakfast is available except for coffee/tea and some bars. Property description should be updated to accurately reflect amenities and overselling should be immediately and permanently stopped.

When I arribed to check in, I was told that they only had one room reserved for me. Upon further speculation on my part, I did have a second room but it was under my husband's name. The property is understaffed. The pool was closed and this amenity should be removed because this was one of the major determining factors for me choosing this property for my 2 day stay. The 2 queens thay i requested were not available so one of the rooms was changed to a single King. This was considered an upgrade but did not fit my requirements of party of 7 needing more beds. The one individual who checked us in was overwhelmed with too many tasks and when i requested dishes, she had to go wash them and i had to carry pots pans utensil etc. for my party of 7. The toilet kept stopping up and we were tasked with plunging the toilets ourselves. A roach was found in the bed of one of the rooms. Grab and go breakfast was lackluster only oatmeal packs and granola bars. Empty coffee carafes were stored on the floor.

They have a problematic door unlock card reader that your afternoon desk agent said was not recommended to use them and to only enter and exit through the front door. I saw other people using the alternative side and back doors. This should be fixed. FYI: The customer service desk clerk in the afternoon named Anne is not nice.

There was a lot that happened during my stay. The conditions of the room wasn't the worse but still noticeably bad. The refrigerator did not work and there was a constant smell in the halls and rooms. The bed was always shaking from something downstairs. Elevator was down most of the time. And on my last night at 12am where I had to get up at 6am for a flight a fire alarm went off that was a false alarm. Apparently that had happened the second time in the past week. It was not a pleasant stay.

Many of the amenities were closed due to not passing city standards, and the gym was 2 treadmills one of which the track had completely ripped. Lots of bugs, and the offered cooking utensils were incredibly cheap, Teflon, flaking, and not fit for use/didn’t feel safe cooking with. Ended up buying higher quality and unused cooking supplies at the Grocery outlet down the road for $30. Was a fight to get clean towels. The younger lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and patient and was so nice, and she was able to answer and address a lot of our questions during our stay. Overall tho, wouldn’t stay here again, didn’t feel worth the cost.

This was horribly disappointing. There were so many awful smells throughout the hotel. Entrance, lobby, hallway, elevator, 2nd floor hallways, the room, the sheets. Just disgusting. The shower still has someone's used washcloth in it, so that means they didn't clean it good enough (if at all) to even notice it there. The air conditioner was loud as sit shut off every five minutes, people were extremely loud at 2:30 in the morning without anyone coming up to hush them. They sounded like they were right in front of our door, so I'm assuming that's how thin the walls were. I have photos but the option below isn't letting me add any

First arrived to check-in, desk personnel was nice, we checked in and was directed how to get to room. We got to room just to enter a dirty room, room attendants did not clean. Beds were not made. Towels all on the floor in room and bathroom. We went downstairs and told desk clerk clerk she immediately switched us to a new room apologetic. Next room was clean. However we needed a roll away bed and they wanted to charge us $30. I told them to just take it out of the inconvenience of first room not meeting hotel and our standards. Hotel attendant said they couldn’t do it. Even to accommodate our bad experience? They said no new owners won’t allow it. I said this won’t be a good review then. She didn’t like that.

Absolutely Disgusting! Cockroaches in the bathroom Stained furniture won’t imagine what they’re From ! The hall floor I stayed on smelled like disgusting rank food all through the air always remember as I have to remind myself, but you get what you pay for and I got less than that. Avoid this disgusting hotel at all costs.

Horribly kept hotel, ac and tv didn’t work properly and the room was full of cockroaches. The noisiness of the freeway and the rest of the guests helped to make this the worst place I’ve stayed in decades!

The management should all be fired. Staff workers tried but they do not have the skills to handle the massive issues of this facility. Filthy lobby floors, hall ways, on all floors a mess. The first room they gave me had a landline that wasn't connected. I am 74 and alone, and needed to have some safety precautions. The only window was stuck partly open, would not close. The 2nd room they gave me was dirty, coch roaches in the room, dirty, rusty, showers - just awful. No security around property. Elevators filthy, anything on walls, dropped off. I will never go back.

Cockroaches …. Cockroaches…. Cockroaches!!! I ended up having to get a room late Friday night at Extended Stay- San Rafael. The room rates were pretty good for the area, and the reviews read about average. It was a late check in and did not get a warm welcome from the front desk person. In addition to the front desk person being mildly rude, the lobby had an odor. Once I got checked into my room, it was late - around midnight and time for bed . Used the rest room and returned to my bed , only to find a cockroach on the pillow! I immediately called the front desk and told them the situation. . It was a new front desk person who was kind and responsive . The front desk person gave me an updrade to the room and apologized, When I walked in to the new room, I walked in about 5 feet and noticed a cockroach on the wall, and another one after that 2 feet away. I deemed the hotel unsanitary and told the front desk person I could not stay there ! I didn’t want to bring roaches back home to my wife and kids ! I then checked out and had to drive around town at 1:00 am in the morning - looking for an upscale - clean hotel . To add insult to injury , the Extended Stay through the Expedia customer support would not refund me the cost of the room due to the 24 hour no refund policy . I guess the policy doesn’t apply to bug infestation.

Black mold in every shower! I have stayed 4 times at your hotel and that was the last time. Black mold is dangerous to your customers and your cleaning crew is not doing its job. You will eventually be liable for some person suing you for health reasons. The last visit for me will be my last and will not recommend your hotel ever to any of my friends or associates.

I checked in about 8pm,& the only room clean was the large King Studio..Lucky for me! The Room was Huge had a kitchen I went right to the store and started cooking I really liked my room.. the hotel has some cleaning issues in its guest areas my room was clean and comfortable 👨🍳

It was clean, not the most comfortable funiture, but decent and useful. No soap, shampoo, etc provided - not the end of the world but something to be aware of. If your room is facing the highway it is very loud, even late at night. The heate rin the room is a VERY LOUD under the window unit - you basically choose between the room being warm and the ability to sleep. "Breakfast" was coffee, tea and a granola bar.

We had a shorter stay. We liked having the kitchenette, it gave us a place to put our leftovers when we went out to dinner. The room was clean, but the TV was going out and the phone was broken.

The motel was fine for everything except... the shower was barely warm and had low pressure. Our stay was for two days and I figured it might have just been the time of day, the it was the same both days at different times. When we checked out I asked about it all I got back was "did you turn the handle all the way to hot"? Not sure if it was because we were on the 3rd floor or what but I expected something better for a response. I would stay here again if the shower was the proper temperature but otherwise not. And yes I did try the sink too and the "hot" water was barely warm.

When checking in the front desk attendant made me feel so comfortable.. She gave me all the information I needed to know and even made recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the surrounding areas she was fantastic.. room was clean and comfy as well and our stay was great ..

Hotel did not have any rooms available even thought online showed as open. They upgraded me to another room and charged me the difference. It was not my fault that they did not have an accurate description of what rooms were available yet they still made me pay more for a room with one bed. Terrible experience

At check in I was not greeted. He only asked for my ID. When I got to the room I wanted to call because he did not give the WiFi password or tell me what time breakfast was or anything. When I called and asked what time it opened for breakfast he said 7am and then hung up immediately. I had to call back and ask him how long it was and he answered and then hung up. I finally decided to go to the office because i wanted more blankets and pillows and when I got there and told him that he keeps hanging up way to fast, he said well if your on your way here then you can ask. The beds were rock hard and all the pillows were so lumpy that I felt like I could have slept better on the ground. The place was older and not too bad of a set up but I don’t think we would ever recommend this place to anyone. The continental breakfast was ok, not horrible but there was no juice options at all.

I arrived late (1AM) and was locked out for 30 min after calling the front desk and knocking on the front door of the hotel. Front desk associate was then irritated from being disturbed from stockingand gave me the impression I was too late and there probably wasn’t a room left. But there were plenty of space. ☹️ After that unfortunate interaction, my stay was fine.

This isn't the most convenient location. It took me a couple of days to feel comfortable coming and going. The area surrounding the property was very commercial, and freeway access is limited. The hallways required a good vacuuming, as did the floor in my room. The staff was the best, especially Jackson, who checked me in and remembered my name. I found it most convenient to take Uber.

As we arrived the receptionist was leaving for a 30 min break. The sign said “short staffed.” To her credit she came back and checked us in. However, when we got to our room we could not access it as our key cards had been incorrectly programmed. We got functioning key cards when she returned from her break. There was a lot of freeway noise in our room. There was no shampoo or conditioner or body wash. Only bar soap. The room was a generous size.

I love the fact that each unit has kitchens. Because the room I wanted and booked wasn’t available, I was upgraded at no charge. The parking lot was a little dirty. Have seen cars that were broken into. Broken window glass next to cars. Advise parking vehicle in well lighted area close to entrance.

Nice, clean hotel that was a great location if you're headed to Muir Woods. Beds weren't super comfortable and any essentials you need such as shampoo require a trip to the front desk. Breakfast consisted of coffee tea and hot chocolate. There was nothing to eat at 9:00 a.m.

This hotel has guests that stay for a long time so there are stovetops, a fridge and microwave in the rooms. Unfortunately, people were cooking foods that did not smell good and it drifted into the hallway and room. There should be complimentary air fresheners for guests. It was clean, not the most comfortable funiture, but decent and useful. No soap, shampoo, etc provided - not the end of the world but something to be aware of. If your room is facing the highway it is very loud, even late at night. The heate rin the room is a VERY LOUD under the window unit - you basically choose between the room being warm and the ability to sleep. "Breakfast" was coffee, tea and a granola bar.

Big lie with this reservation. It says the breakfast was included. But actually it was not. Pool was not available. The public restroom located at the 1st floor was not available to be opened with the room key card. When I asked for help, no one at the front desk to assist me. When I requested to do a room cleaning service,the front desk told me I had to request one day ahead with BERY RUDE attitude. I said how about providing some clean lines that I can change by myself, the staff just handed me the lines and asked me to bring to the room while I had my hands full with some coffee and water cups. The worst thing ever was after I stripped the bed sheet, there were bloody spots on the mattress cover which was covered by the bed sheet. The 3rd day morning they even had no more coffee at 8am and no more hot water, when we tried to ask for help, no one was available AGAIN! The website should REMOVE the Breakfast included! This is the worst experience and worst service we ever had!

On a road trip, I found this hotel in my price range the same day as my stay. Service was ok, though I was bummed coffee wasn't around after breakfast service ended in the morning, and wi-fi instructions and info on how to get kitchen items wasn't furnished upon checkin. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hallways and public areas were adequately clean. I would consider staying again as it was in my price range and now I know how the wi-fi and kitchen items work. I also can plan for not having maid service on weekends (as another guest was told) and that coffee ends with breakfast. Also no shampoo/conditioner, so I now know to bring my own.
