Worst hotel I ever rented, Dirty/Nasty room, smell of Weed, no elevator, I rented it for two nights but stayed only for one hour and booked another hotel. Please don't even think about renting this hotel. Waste of money.

Dont stay here. The bedding has holes in it and stains. The lamps and Ac are broken. The bathroom is rusty and dirty. Stains in the carpet, not clean at all. Poor management, lady at front desk doesn’t communicate properly. She yelled at us because we had rooms reserved but somehow they got taken so we were upset. The pool was closed and doesnt ever open. They false advertised this whole place!! No breakfast or food in the building.

Had a working pool, hot shower, fridge and a bed. Under renovations - one wing should be completely closed, not through the whole place at one time. Filthy carpets, unsafe lighting, mouse bait in the 2nd floor room. Wood furniture was functional, but very scarred. No coffee maker, no breakfast. Would have cancelled if we had not prepaid. Take Lysol disinfectant, we did.

Condition of the motel was very run-down. The ice machine didn't work, no mini fridge, no free breakfast as advertised, cigaret burn holes in beadspread..

I have stayed here before a few months ago and they're renovating the place. Looking a little different than the last time I was here

I never checked in when I learned there was no hot water. Since I had a reservation hotel could have notified me before I wasted time going to the location and having to find an alternate hotel. Front doors were wide open during a heat wave so suspect air conditioning didn’t work either.

Ice machine need fixing and better housekeeping

The property was nice from the outside but that was the only highlight of this trip. We stayed at this location as it was fairly close to the cruise port which made it a convenient place to stay the night before our cruise. We walked in to find an almost friendly person working the front desk. As we entered just past the desk we saw buckets all over the floor that were catching the water that was dripping from the ceiling in numerous places. Then we had to watch walking to our room so we didn’t fall walking past the ice machine as it was leaking all over the floor. Entering our room was even worse. The room clearly was a smoking room at some point as it absolutely reeked of a cigarette. It was so bad we decided to take our suitcase and any belonging we could back to the car. There was no way we could sleep in that room with the smell. It was on everything. The beds, linen, towels, curtains. Everything. We ended up driving to the dollar store down the street and got 2 bottles of Fabreeze that we spayed constantly in the room. We could smell it in our hair and on our pajamas by the time we left in the morning. (Our pajama smelled the entire 10 day cruise). Breakfast was not any better. We ended up walking across the street to McDonald’s for breakfast as the only thing available to eat was a honey and oats granola bar. At this point no one trusted the water or juice they had out. There were only like 6 chairs in the breakfast table and one of the staff was sitting in a chair.

This was a stinking hotel under renovation, that shouldn't have Howard Johnson or Wyndham brand

Room smells like smoke. Faucet only drips water when turn on. Chair broken and dirty stained. Breakfast was granola bar and juice out of a mug. Pool was closed.. cops was always showing up.. the nicest thing about my stay was the price and the lady at the front desk. She was really nice and friendly.

Holes in walls and bugs.

This place was filthy and so poorly maintained that I was shocked it even had a 2 star rating. Absolutely disgusted. No phone or clock in the room. The ac unit had its cover on the ground and was so blocked with debris that it barely worked. The mightstands drawer had been ripped out. The bathrooms doorknob was so loose it didn't shut. I found a used washcloth, complete with someones hair in the bathroom. The floor was sticky.

There was mold in the room. The bedding had holes. The molding where the carpet goes up the bottom of the wall was coming off. There were roaches in the room. The front desk was asleep. The room smelled stale and disgusting. The molding around the bed frame was broken and missing; leaving exposed nails.

The stench was very obvious as soon as the main door was opened. The carpets are extremely dirty which probably contributes to the smell. Paint was peeling off the dirty walls. The bathroom sink and entire bathroom was deplorable!

Dirty rooms and mice running around

Yes, holes in wall and door, blood on mattress. bedbugs in bed and roaches in bathroom.Not much staff could do about bedbugs. Moved out after one night,

It was awful. A dirty washcloth was on the floor when we came in. The breaker panel was painted over. A dirty sheet with a visible footprint was revealed once the comforter was turned down. The toilet paper holder was rusted out and no longer able to be used, the roll of toilet paper was the sink. I'm not sure what is growing on the mini fridge. The dresser had no drawer and was ready for garbage day. The tv stand/dresser had seen better days/nights. The odor of something foul filled the air. We left immediately.

Found cockroach in the bathroom. Lots of hole on the sheets.

Unfortunately not as advertised. The hotel is overtaken by illicit activity. I did not feel safe. There was blood and who knows what else on the bed (I just looked in the room and left). The night staff member I have to thank because he knew that it was not suitable. He tried to warn me by asking me to see the room first before he checked me in. It was really late and I was exhausted but he made himself clear. He accepted the cancellation with no problem. Thank you to this staff member for looking out for me. I hope you can move to a better environment.

The most filthy place I be ever stayed in the rug smell like dead animal. Mice trapped inside the rooms pff

I seen a mouse the room stink and the lambs was ragged the socket was missing covers the tv didn’t work and the bed was solid hard

The headboard of the bed was broken, and they still rented the room, and the curtain was torn, so all the light came through the window. It was a bad experience.

The place was a mess. hallway carpet hadn't been vacuumed in ages, ceiling tiles were missing everywhere. The first room we were given the lights didn't work & one was hanging from the ceiling. In the second room, we had light, but they had no lamp shades.

Run down hotel with no iron , iron board. Ho hangers in closet. Room doors with broken no security lock inside door. But staff is friendly and tried to make best from this situation!

This was one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed at. The room was smelly with only one dim light for the room. Impossible to see anything. There were no power outlets. I had to unplug the only lamp to recharge my phone. Broken furnitures were scattered around the room. No iron/stand, no coffee/tea maker, no ice bucket, even no blanket (i used the bed spread for cover). Not only will I never stay here, i will never stay at another Howard Johnson ever again. This hotel does not qualify for even one star!

TV did not work-no connection

already checked what the positives. the actual room left mush to be desired. very poor condiitions as far as furniture that was falling apart, the carpet was filthy, the night stand was uncleaned. the king bed, had only 2 small pillows. limited bath towels present too. fluorescent light above microwave didn't work. there were no hangers for the closet. even with calm weather the wi-fi, was spotty and buffering constantly. that meant endless wait times on laptop, and terrible tv reception. no in-room phone to call desk for service. although the staff was helpful and friendly, i would never recommend this hotel to anyone, and i would certainly never book there again.

I checked in real late, the front desk was very polite. Checked me right in. The lobby looks fine. i walked upstairs to my room on the 2nd floor and was a lil freaked out. Its 3am, and there were some doors slighty open and the floors and walls are not very clean. Im tired so i just want to get into my room. The door was too small for the frame. There was about an inch of space all around the door... when i entered the room it smelt like someone was blowing cigarette smoke right into my face.. it was grose. I didnt want to go back to the lobby, im going to wait it out until morning. The bedding did not have bed bugs, i always check...however there were many cigarette burns and stains on the sheet and blanket... i.put towels on the bed,slept in my clothes and wore my sweater over my face as a filter. When the sun came up i changed rooms. Now im on the 1st floor not far from the lobby so i felt a lil more.comfort. I couldn't get the door open, so i went back to the front desk, and a maintenance man opened my door for me. He used his key flipped the door handle up and did 2 body slams into the door to get it open.... i said your joking right, this is how i have to open the door??? The room was cleaner and it didnt smell. He said most the doors are like that, and that i was in one of the better rooms :/ my coworker showed up and we stayed 5 nights. On Saturday Ppl hung outside my window, and i had strange nocks on my door, would not stay here by myself.

The property was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. The furniture was chipped with missing drawers. The bed the bedsheets were terrible. The quilt on top of the bed was too thin, and it has cigarette burns on it. The shade on the lamp was dirty and had holes in it. The AC cover was dirty and the window. The curtain was dirty and hanging off each end. My room had an adjoining door and the lock was broken. It was held close by a table there were no hangers in the room . The staff was not rude, but indifferent to the fact that we needed an additional blankets and a pillow. They said they didn’t have any. The carpet was dirty. It was just the most horrible hotel experience I have ever had. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke, my eyes were itchy. My throat was itchy. I have pictures of everything if you want to see them.

There have been many complaints over the years about this facility and it appears nothing has been done to remedy the situation. I did not look at reviews beforehand as it is a Howard Johnson by Wyndham and I assumed it would be fine. I am in my 70's and there are no elevators and many stairs to climb with no offer of help. The staff was discourteous and would not look at you. Rooms were filthy with mold around tub and ceiling and cracks in lamps and plaster walls. Expedia, does someone in your organization check these properties for quality assurance? I will NEVER use Expedia again for my travel needs if they are advertising rattraps such as this!

I have noticed that all the hotels around there? Are in bad condition, but this one is been the better hotel .i don't know if it is because of the client that goes their .I noticed that thy are fixing around , but it needs some more cleaning and new curtains in bed covers . It is not cheap the night . So it could be better looking. The people that work there are very nice that i do like a lot . I live in PA but my boyfriend work over there so i do need to stay at a hotel a lot.

Friendly staff

Here at the Howard Johnson Inn center, a place we wouldn’t recommend to visit whatsoever, our stay did not last up to 20 minutes, and there were and are a variety of reasons to say this. Beginning with our entrance into the hotel, as we entered a dim and evidently-inapropriatedly cared building. Additionally, the images advertised did not capture at all the place’s atmosphere nor true appearance. However, the staff attendant was polite and humble, which makes it a bit of a more decent and place. People like him deserve to be at better-cared places Overall, we did not enjoy this visit at all. The hotel must be improved.

Didn't like anything about it. Broken furniture and over all dirty. And staff says there's nothing wrong in the place.

I didnt get 5he room i reserved They lied about continental breakfast I had no wifi I didnt get compensated for any of my problems. But they were quick to cancel my stay

Ok The place is inexpensive so u get what u pay for which is fine with regards to The room. However the neighborhood is very sketchy. Bad part of town. The hotel doesn’t do anything about people standing in their parking lot or sitting in their cars for hours. Nothing happened but it gave an uneasy feeling. Like I said The place is inexpensive and The room was ok but they could do something about the loitering…

This is like a halfway house. Unsafe, dirty, smells like smoke. We left within a few hours, didn’t get our money back, but did not feel safe spending the night there.

Terrible, pictures have to be from 20 years ago, dirty, people sleeping in hallways, looks like a trap house, wouldn’t be surprised if drugs ran through this hotel

The reception area is blocked in by glass. The front doors are filthy. I was holding out hope that it wouldn't be bad.When walking down the cooridor to our room the carpet is all black from wear and dirt. The shower basen is grey from use and grime. We had gone here to see a concer at M and T Stadium. Easily took an uber. When we got back we couldn't imagine sleeping there so we checked out at 10pm and drove home sleeping on the side of the highway.

The hotel is reasonable, however its not in the best location and this hotel has lots of roaches. The facility is quite old and outdated. The linen and beds are outdated. The hotel list breakfast included, however there were no breakfast.

The picture of the room does not look like the real room. The room was very run-down and with minimum furniture. The whole hotel smells of smoke. There is really no breakfast. Breakfast is supposed to be from 6:30 to 9:30 and we came down at 9:15. There was only "coffee" (no taste, almost like black water) in a thermos, a jar with water and another one with apple juice. When I asked about the food, they said they had run out. It really looked like there had been no food at any time. I do not recommend this hotel and I am surprised something of such low quality is even available via Expedia.

The advertisement of the hotel was great though ratings was great. I get there. The room is in a disarray. There’s racks to put your towels and washcloths on. The breakfast area was nothing but juice in a container and some breakfast bars a mess. I will not be seeing there again.

WORST stay in a long time. Booked king bed, none given. Breakfast included in reservation, they don't have a restaurant. Room was EXTREMELY DIRTY, they had roach traps and worse yet, they had RAT traps as well. Blankets had holes of cigarette burns. Room was stale and smelled of uring. EXPEDIA, get your information straight and NEVER offer this site agai

When I booked through Expedia breakfast was included. But they told me they did not offer breakfast. Secondly, the whole carpet was dirty and smelling....

Nothing very bad experience, poor breakfast, no coffee nothing to eat, horrible. A mise ran out from breakfast area.... Would really like my refund!!! Worst experience ever at a 🛏
