Residence Inn by Marriott Salisbury

Very friendly checkin experience. Edith in the breakfast kitchen was a joy BBQ was a pleasure to use. Clean and ready. Excellent value. Would definitely stay again

Where do we start... Upon arrival at 11:30pm the front desk was having issues with their card encoder that would assign us a card to access our room. Although Andreya (Front Desk) was amazing at juggling, not only getting no answer from their IT support and having about 4 families, including my own, waiting to be checked in, We did not get into a room until about 2:30am after the maintenance employee finally informed Andreya she has a key that would allow access to each room. When we finally got into our first room, the room was very humid and just smelt moldy. We also found a bug on the wall/ceiling and a large one on the bed. We went and talked to Andreya and she put us in a different room. In the second room, the bathroom tiles were cracked, the soap "shelf" was barely hanging on to the wall, which eventually on night two fell off and almost hit my wife's foot as she was using the shower. We also had a roach run across the bathroom floor on the third night. The room also had a faint unpleasant smell I cannot describe. On day two after brining up the changing of rooms and the shelf falling off of the shower we were told we would be comped one night stay. We were satisfied with that until the next night when we saw two roaches in the bathroom. The day after we checked out a manager called and said the only thing we can do now is an extra $50 due to us not bringing these issues to their attention immediately. We tried to explain to the manager MULTIPLE times that the only

This was probably an extremely nice hotel 15 years ago. The living room had a fireplace with a timer!! As all Residence Inns, it was very spacious bedroom and living room suite with kitchenette, two burner stove, microwave, nice fridge, basic kitchen supplies, dishwasher. Pool closed for winter. Decent exercise room, laundry room looked good. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Breakfast was great and Edith was awesome. Probably slow season so the price was great. Cons: smelled like smoke or MJ in the hallway, room had an old musky smell to it, somebody kept propping the side doors making it cold at night, carpets looked old and worn out with large stains in hallway. Shower temp was luke warm to cold. Service came immediately and fixed it which was great bc it was a chilly weekend. Towels were cheap quality and small. Sundry area lacked basic toiletries, eg toothpaste, and nothing healthy to snack on or eat.

I wish the pool and jacuzzi was cleaned properly so I could use it.

Liked the attractions near hotel. Also liked the staff and the room type (1 bedroom) hotels need more of these. Did not like the numerous potholes all over parkinglot.

Parking lot flooded, no hot tub as advertised. Breakfast was cold. They sent us to courtyard Marriott to use their hot tub and I could fart more bubbles than that thing put out.

Great one bedroom suite for our family to stay overnight on a road trip from NY to NC. We were able to put our son down for bed and comfortably enjoy ourselves in the living area. It would have been nice for the pool to be open so we could swim after a long drive but we stretched our legs out anyway!

I loved how beautiful the property was and the seclusion of it. Room was very beautiful and spacious! Staff very friendly. Only downside i could say is the locks on the door on the outside of the property to get back in needs some fine tuning. Had to keep getting the keys reset. Other then this minor hiccup definitely enjoyed my stay and experience!

There was a spot of ketchup on the floor from previous tenants that wasn't cleaned up and it got on our suitcases, and we had to get our key cards replaced a couple of times since they stopped working. My stay was ok. Two things the bathtub and sink was not draining. The breakfast was not very appealing.

Property was well maintained!!!! Comfortable stay! One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. Will definitely book again.

The room was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with what you might need to make a meal.

The rooms had portable AC’s and the one in the bedroom leaked and the floor was soaked. We didn’t notice this until we went to bed, so changing rooms would have been a real pain.

The room was big and had a kitchen which we did not expect.

Liked the kitchen and sitting areas. Room darkening curtains didn't close well and noisy AC unit was right by the bed in a closet and came off and on all night. Terrible night sleep. Breakfast was lousy.

I ARRIVED AND WAS TOLD THE ROOM HAD WATER DAMAGE AND WAS MOVED TO A LESS ACCOMODATING MOTEL , BUT WAS STILL CHARGED THE ORIGINAL PRICE!!!!!! AND THE MOTEL THEY MOVED ME AND MY FAMILY TO WAS NOT GOOD !!!

There was the nicest woman - I think her name was Patricia who works in the kitchen. She was so helpful, and kind and we chatted a little bit and she made the stay even better. The staff was helpful, but she went the extra mile. I appreciated her being so kind so early in the morning during the breakfast rush.

We had a nine day stay at this hotel. Everyone was super friendly and the front desk was accommodating with regards to our room. We were greeted every morning at the breakfast center by Edith, who managed the kitchen and kept the breakfast area stocked very well. She was always cheerful made sure that we were satisfied with the daily breakfast.

I want a full refund for the worst stay ever anywhere. That was a party going on the first floor from 1030 until 2:30 in the morning. I’ve complained three times throughout the night to the hotel staff and manager on duty. Nothing was done 2:45am Of course the fire alarm goes off because they were smoking weed and cigarettes in the hallway at the party on the first floor. We did not sleep at all that night. We finally just got up and left in the middle of the night and drove home 2 1/2 hours complete disaster and we will never ever stay at this place again.

Mostly chain restaurants and strip shopping centers. But from a convenient point of view, not a bad location.

Didn’t have the feel of staying at a hotel. I was very comfortable and the didn’t hear a peep from neighbors or outside noise. HUGE shoutout to Edith who delivered a pretty good selection of breakfast foods. She was an absolute sweetheart who truly loves her job and the people. The housekeeping staff (don’t have any of their names), but every morning gave me a warm, genuine hello and hooked me up with those AMAZING makeup wipes. I’ll be back in the area in a few weeks and will definitely rebook my stay here. Keep up the great work!!
