Beautiful property. Fantastic amenities - only thing is the pool was taken over by kids playing football. I don’t think they were even guests at the hotel so my kids and I couldn’t use the pool which was the main reason I booked the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful with nicely manicured grounds. They do NOT have EV charging. The staff was nice. The main issue we had was the smell in our room. We were only there for one night so I did not ask to change rooms. It had a terrible old, musty smell. When we entered the room, the air conditioner was turned off so I am not sure if that was the issue but the smell never went away. I honestly thought it smelled like a dirty diaper. I searched the room and under the beds but never found the source of the smell. The toilet also immediately clogged when my child used it so I wonder if the room maybe flooded before and the smell was the carpet?

A beautiful property, The Rizzo Center features guest conveniences and attention to detail. The balconies off the hallways were delightful, as were the small seating areas equipped with television and serving bar on the floor. The guest pantry area was a welcoming amenity. We enjoyed the grill in the evening and breakfast was a very good selection of breakfast foods and beverages. The only suggestion I can offer is that the signage both on the grounds leading to the hotel lobby and in the hotel is difficult to read, particularly on a dark evening. Arriving at the lobby was confusing, as was the interior layout. This seemed to be a general comment by both guests and staff alike. Both could easily be corrected. Overall, however, the hotel was a wonderful choice, and we would absolutely stay again.

Very comfortable place. Clean. Pool is nice temperature, but shallow (4 feet deep). It's a nice touch to have guest pantry with extra snacks. Breakfast was lovely, and staff kept it well stocked.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Stocked pantry was a nice touch, but could have used some bottles water and plain creamer for the coffee. Also, coffee was not brewed/full in am. No charging for EV's, sorely needed. Also, not enough parking, had to park quite far away after coming back from a late night football game.

check in after hours was tricky, we arrived around 9 pm, the person at front desk was not responding to phone calls, it was too dark to read signs and could not get to the hotel part of the premise for almost an hour. the resort is a convention center w multiple halls and Expedia should specify which hall is actually the hotel part....

My husband and I only stayed one night for the UNC game. The hotel was very nice, clean and the service was good. My only complaint really was the shower. I understand being a green hotel, but there was no water pressure in the shower. So my usual 15 minute shower took quite a bit longer due to not being able to get the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. The building is absolutely beautiful. If you have trouble walking long distances you may have trouble though because parking is in the very back. It was a nice stay but not what I would have expected for the price.

Property is fresh and clean and beautifully decorated. The room as lovely and had a forest view. However, the lounge did not open until 5:30 pm and there was a line to get in. Also, they were in charge of serving a limited menu as the dining room was closed. There were onlly 2 staff, and they were absolutely overwhelmed. People were getting rude and angry. One server completly disappeared for while. My burger was served overcooked and the fries were palatable. We were not part of the convention group staying there, but were looking forward to a nice dinner after a harrowing day at the hospital. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Check out was easy.

Toilet in the room didnt work. Housecleaning came and opened door by 8am. Alerted the staff of issues and was ignored and told to contact a manager because we booked through expedia, whatever that is supposed to mean.

Great hotel for a family stay. The pantry on each floor with soda, popcorn and ice cream was such a nice touch that kept the kids happy. And the free laundry room was amazing given we were on a 2 week road trip. The site isn’t walking distance to anything so a car is needed, but the area is really lovely. We loved the pool!

My wife and I stayed here for two days, as we were in town for a Tar Heels basketball game. The location was about 6-7 minutes from the Dean Smith Center, but also close to the Friday Center, one of the pickup sites for the Tar Heel Express shuttle on game days, which was super convenient! The hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! And the complimentary soda, popcorn, and ice cream on each floor was an added bonus!! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

The grounds were amazing. There is a plantation house and gardens in the grounds that was really interesting to explore. We also love the breakfast and the balcony next to our room where we drink coffee and watch bluebirds. All of these amenities are in the middle of Chapel Hill, just minutes away from restaurants, shopping, and the college. Another really cool perk was the pantry on our floor with free ice cream and drinks.
