What a pleasant surprise! The petite queen room was perfectly designed. The valets were professional. The continental breakfast was amazing and informative! Quiches, danishes and what an amazing view of Charleston! Andrew Pinckney is within walking distance to everything. There is a $24 valet parking fee, but when compared to your other options, it's worth every penny. Don't miss laughing a night away at The Black Fedora Comedy Club or savoring delicious food and incredible history at the Church and Union. The best part is no driving! This is an Inn with history.

We loved the hotel. Highlights were complimentary breakfast and great bed and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again. Only negative was our stairs to room were steep, slippery especially on day it rained. Next visit we will ask for room in adjacent bldg that has elevator.

Had to pay for Valet Parking as there was really no available public parking nearby. However, the Valet service was friendly and helpful, including offering tips for things in the area that I had questions about. The concierge was helpful as well. Very nice place and people.

A very well situated Hotel for visiting everything in Charleston. Popular places to visit and great restaurants nearby. Valet parking at the hotel is very helpful. Hotel doesn't have a pool or onsite bar, but there are plenty nearby. I found the staff very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Hotel is very clean, with no problems that I could see. If you like your wine, there is a complimentary wine and cheese event with other residents every day between 4-5pm and we met some lovely people there. Miss Cythnia who supervised breakfast most mornings was a lovely, friendly woman who made you feel so at home and welcome. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had plenty of room and everything you needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at. I would recommend this

Great location with walk ability to many restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Part of the Inn had elevator access and part did not. The daily breakfast was very good and the staff was always friendly.

The location is perfect! Close to tons of fabulous restaurants and shopping. Valet service is FAST! Service was impeccable. The historic rooms are so cool! The only downside is no workout facility. We will definitely book again!

An excellent property to stay at in Charleston - the room is clean and welcoming. Beds are super comfortable, bathroom was immaculate. Seems like either they have a crack maintenance/housekeeping crew or the property has been recently renovated because nary a hint of mold could be seen in the shower. Beautiful and classy decore and lots of storage options in the room. They also offer a very yummy breakfast spread in their rooftop sunroom in an a joining building from where I was located. I highly recommend staying here as it is very close to all the things Charleston has to offer.

This was a great location not far from attractions. It was in walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping. Courteous front desk staff - they were great. The breakfast had a great spread each day. The room was a great size, but the shower had mildew and there was mold on the hand-held shower head. The sink drain was slow, almost flooded brushing my teeth. Lastly, the valet person who pulled our truck around on the last day of our trip was rude. He slammed my truck door when I didn't give him a tip. He held my keys hostage in hopes of a tip. We didn't have to drive anywhere, so we only pulled out our truck on the last day of our trip. Didn't appreciate him slamming my door, he is lucky he wasn't seriously hurt during the incident. Would definitely recommend despite a few setbacks.

My husband and I stayed for four nights and loved this inn. The room was very clean and spacious and included a fridge and safe. Breakfast in the solarium was excellent and had a great variety of food: yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, pastry, egg sandwiches, frittatas, etc. Miss Cynthia kept the tables clean and was very sweet and friendly. The inn is in a great location, within walking distance of the vendor market and some great restaurants. Highly recommend!

This is the second time staying here and this is a nice charming hotel just north of the hustle of the French Quarter. My only complaint was the a/c in 301 did not appear to cool to the desired temp. Great breakfast .I will stay again

My biggest complaint about this property is that they regulate the air conditioner, and have locked it at 68. If you are a hot sleeper, or they experience a heat wave, such as they were, you are stuck sleeping with the a/c locked at 68. Never have I experienced this in my travels.

A well located property near the historic market. Easy walk to great shopping, restaurants, harbor, College of Charleston and historic homes. The staff were all very nice. The room we stayed in (#101) was small but nice. This particular room had no real view other than the street outside, and it was somewhat sandwiched between the building entrance and the elevator mechanical room, making it a little noisy until everyone was in for the night. I’d stay there again but ask for a different room.

My room had no exposure to the outside… no window and was a room created inside the hotel . It was noisy with people walking by and I heard doors closing and opening around me. The bathroom was fine. The refrigerator mini bar was right next to the bed and it hummed all night. It was unfortunately quite depressing for a lot of money. I would recommend asking for another room… I was in a hurry as could not get into the room until 4pm and had to be somewhere at 5.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated in walking distance to the City Market. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and updated. Very nice and I would stay here again. I rated comfort 4 stars for one reason alone - I took 2 showers while I was there and neither time was I able to get the water to warm up to barely above freezing. I like hot showers and thoroughly hated both showers because the water would not warm up no longer how long I left it running. To be fair, I was there on business and only stayed one night, so I did not take the time to report the issue to the front desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so they probably would have at least tried to correct the issue if I brought it to their attention at the time I was there.

We choose this because of the location close to downtown. The room was clean, the bed and pillows super comfortable. It was within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and venues. The tub/shower/toilet area was super tiny and there was no way to turn off the fan so it ran 24/7. A bit annoying at night.

We loved our stay at the Andrew Pinckney! The only issue we had was the room seemed a little hot and had trouble cooling, even when we turned the A/C all the way down. Granted, it was an extremely hot weekend in the middle of summer (July) so that could’ve been a factor. Other than that, all was well and would definitely stay here again!

Love the hotel. Can’t beat the location. Very safe area, walked around at 10pm with no issues. Happy hour was so fun. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and tons of options. Upgraded us to a suite they had ready for us at noon! We left pictures at the hotel and Jeff had no problem mailing them to us. Thank you Andrew Pinckney!

Wonderful experience. Always stay here and love the property and staff. Only issue this time was on the check out day, housekeeping let themselves into our room 4 times starting hours before the check out time of 11am and continued all morning which was unpleasant

Very friendly staff. Had an air conditioner problem and maintenance was there in less than five minutes to fix it. Breakfast was always enjoyable with friendly staff. Main plus for the property is the location. We had not car and everything was within a short walk.

A nice inn. Well kept and rooms clean. We arrived early and valet took our car and front desk said they would text us when room was ready. While walking about the city we received our text returned only to find that our room was not ready and was told it would be available shortly. They had text us in error So we waiting out side for another hour and a half!! Very upset that one of the girls wouldn’t have made an attempt to expedite our room. Instead they were very disinterested When we complained there was no attempt to accommodate us in any manner for the inconvenience. ( Move us to another room, comp valet??)Also they were not at capacity that evening. It was a Sunday nite. At checkout we were not given a receipt for our stay because we booked through a third party( Expedia ). Curious if that is why no extra effort was given to expedite our room error too.

This is a delightful inn that is a perfect option for anyone looking to splurge on yourself in a beautiful city that is easily walkable from the inn. The staff is amazingly courteous and knowledgeable. The breakfast is amazing with fresh fruit, gourmet hot quiches and several other baked good items. We will definitely be back as we couldn’t see everything that Charleston had to offer.

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing from the start. The staff was rude and downright disrespectful, even to the point of insulting both my husband and me. There was no sense of hospitality or warmth. When we finally made it to our room after this unpleasant encounter, we found it to be just okay—nothing special. However, the plumbing left much to be desired. The toilet required jiggling the handle after every flush, and the tub, which was one of the reasons we booked the room, was not thoroughly cleaned. We had to clean it ourselves before using it. Additionally, getting hot water took over 20 minutes, and the spray handle on the tub seemed to need maintenance. The shower floor tiles also needed a deep cleaning, and hot water took just as long to reach the shower. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For the same price—or even a little more—you can find accommodations where you’ll be treated with respect and enjoy better amenities, including functioning plumbing.

Quaint little Inn right in the hubbub. Horse carriage rides are across the street, the market was a block away, plenty of restaurants in the area. Hotel was charming, clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Bed was fine but use cheap ass pillows. Breakfast food was really poor, but the ambience was nice on the 4th floor. I've had better food @ a Hampton Inn. A/C leaked and we had to put towels on top of coach. Exhaust fan ran all day & night in bathroom. No microwave to reheat coffee or leftovers. Charged $28/night to park car and charged $4/day as a resort fee but there's no resort amenities.

Loved the location. Was awesome that Rebecca at guest services texted so quickly with me, even letting us know the room was ready early. The wine/cheese was fantastic, especially Barbara, the hostess. The breakfast, although lots of choices of pastries, the hot food was disappointing. They ran out of the frittatas at 8 am, the potatoes and cooked muffins werent very good. The main reason of 4 stars is the room could not get cool enough. The AC would only go down to 68, which was not cool enough at 95 outside.

Loved the location. The christmas stocking on the door Dec 25 was a nice and unexpected touch. as was the bottle of chardonnay. The breakfast food could have been more vegan friendly and fresh/ some food- quich was put out 2-3 days in a row. The office staff was helpful and delightful.

Prime location, walkable to City Market, horse/carriage companies / where these tours begin, top restaurants and shopping. Excellent valet service (quick and friendly). You won't believe the incredible complimentary happy hour 4-6 daily with an assortment of wines and hors d'oeuvres. Top Notch breakfast spread that included 2 types of quiche, hot breakfast sandwiches, potatoes, bacon, assortment of delicious fresh baked pasties, bagels, yogurt, fruit and cereal. We loved spending time up on the 4th floor for happy hour and breakfast, because there's a 180 degree view, overlooking the river, the City Market area and Old South Carriage company. Beautiful room, highly updated bathrooms and comfortable bed! Very attentive staff made this a MUST STAY for us.

Fabulous location, very handy for everything that Charleston has to offer. Room was super spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening wine and cheese was a lovely touch. Nice to have a fridge, coffee machine and microwave in the room.
