Newly renovated hotel inside the old city walls. Very clean and comfortable with incredibly helpful staff. Can’t beat the location and proximity to all the sights and shopping in old town Dubrovnik. Key pad entry to the lobby. Front desk seems to only be staffed in the morning. Decent breakfast with excellent coffee. Only downside is the old plumbing smell from the toilet. Just need to keep the lid closed :-) Tip #1 : Start your day early as hordes of tourists arrive around 10am. Tip #2 : If driving to Dubrovnik, please note old town Dubrovnik is a restricted zone. You need to have a permit to enter the area.

Great location inside the city walls and just next to the Pile Gate. All the attractions are close by so all in walking distance. We paid for a superior room and were very happy with the facilities. Comfortable bed, nice overhead shower etc. Breakfast is nice and varied with different choices - local, French, English etc. with very friendly staff. Good value restaurant outside. Highly recommended.

The Akademis Gariste was perfect for me. The cab dropped me off at the Pile Gate. The driver called ahead and the hotel sent a porter to greet me. The Akademis was just a short walk from the Gate. My room was beautiful and the service was excellent. My thanks to Diana, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Perfect little hotel right inside the gates old towne that require NO stairs to get to (this is huge). Comes with a nice little breakfast and is easily accessible right onto the main streets. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.

Great location, close to the Pile gate. Easy to walk through but a little tricky to find because it is down a little alleyway with a small sign. Breakfast was excellent which is included. Very clean and comfortable.
